Don't worry, if the Bison ever take over the midlands Godzilla will take care of them. Just like he did with Bambi.

I've yet to even try out Sephy yet, but I loaned out my copy to a friend shortly after I beat the game, so...

Also, I have a Shaman Staff. I don't, however, have either the Save the King or Save the Queen. And one of the materials for one of them is apparently only dropped by Assassins, which I have no idea how to find...

I am endlessly amused that not only are items 'dropped', but they are 'dropped' on a rather low percentage chance.

Sad as it is to say, I must agree that Dem has a rather good point. :P

Mordy, Mordy, Mordy...

That kind of stuff went on long before the first MMORPG.

Not at quite the rate it seems from your discussion... and it's generally not quite this IMPORTANT in non-MMO RPGs. *shrug*

Point.

Though, generally, you get a drop in one of about three kills at the least if you have everyone equipped with the drop-boosting ability.

Whether or not that drop is the rare one you need (like a weapon), is a whole 'nother question.

But in any RPG, when there's that one last item you need, it always takes forever to find, no matter how common it's supposed to be. It's like, some kinda vicious algorithm the programmers wrote into the code. And it's industry standard!

Pink Puff Tail from Final Fantasy 2/4.
There used to be an image here telling you to vote, but then Photobucket, the image site made to allow you to do third party hosting, no longer allows third party hosting without throwing a shitload of money at them... and I can barely afford to eat. So no you get some text of me bitching about it, yaaay! Also, go vote.

Yeah, never bothered with that shit.

Why bother maxing out when you're perfectly capable of taking out Zeromus on your own?

Items having ridiculous drop rates is nothing new...

FF4 Pink Tails, for instance.

And it's not really *important*, Mordy.

You can go the whole of KH2 without ever switching Donald and Goofy's weapons.

EDIT: Damn, barOWNED.

Final bosses tend to wipe the floor with me when I first get to them. Usually because I rush through games and end up about 10-15 levels below where I should be.

Zeromus is no exception. :-_-:

as a child, I could never beat zeromus... even though it was "easy type". And it took me two tries on the GBA version to beat him, but mostly because I was quite underleveled and messed up with the dark matter stealing.

I beat Zeromus on my first try... and I was revved up for an extended battle.

But, getting lost in dungeons and never EVER running away from random encounters probably put me over the top.

And the final dungeon? Rosa could take out a Sorceror by HERSELF. Rydia got the draconic enemies OHKO'd as well.

EDIT: I should add that this was just using the "Attack" option. See, Rydia had the Dragon Tail whip and Rosa had the Mute Staff.

I kept getting to Zeromus at level 35 in the hard game. It was a bad move, cause I hate leveling, and got so sick of doing it that it put off beating the game by about two years.

I was able to level up fairly efficiently while playing. I never run from battles, and if I know there's a boss battle coming up, I generally wander around for a bit before I go to the boss. And of course, a LOT of potions, elixers, and phoenix downs :)

I never run from battles, unless its gonna kill me big time and i get lost alot on the world map in some RPGs so i tend to be overleved by the final bosses.

I did run into sephiroth in KH2 and was disapointed that you had to fight him again I was hoping for someone new, and finally

To Mordain : I leveled from 40 to 99 in earthbound trying to get the kings sword for Poo...AND I NEVER FREAKING GOT IT, with a Super Starman kill tally at about 750

(Q)_< Same most of my exp comes from aimlessly wandering...and somehow a npc that keeps track of how many times youve ran away pressured me not to (Sky's of Arcadia Legends)

Im a rediculously redundant to use items thinking Ill never find another Hi Potion or tonic ever again
