Whoo! Did two more tricky summoning requirement challenges today. Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, and Dark Sage. That second one, by the way, requires using Time Wizard. Yes, Time Wizard. The old "Flip a coin! If you call it right, destroy your opponents field. If wrong, scream your head off and wonder why the hell you put this card in your deck!" It also needs Dark Magician. Which is the fave card of the main character of the anime. Why that is, I'll never really understand...It's total garbage! Seriously, if I wanted a no-effect monster with 2500 atk, I'd use Summoned Skull, which is easier to summon. As for the other challenge, I noticed that the decks that the computer uses for the challenges are generally designed to demonstrate the decks that the designers would use to complete the challenge...In this case, a deck loaded with Insect monsters. So I put a few Insect Barriers in, which prevents my opponents Insects from attacking. From there, I just had to wait until the right cards arrived, and finished him off. Hehehehe. |

DM is crap, it's his support that's not, which he has better of then any monster in the entire game. I mean his support alone makes his type the second most helped type around, Warrior being the first. Also you should of used that card that lets you reflip coins so that if Time Wizards screwed you, you could flip again. |

I did. Had it on the field and everything. But the coin came down right first time, so it wasn't needed. Oh, and then I went and used Premature Burial to bring back the Dark Magician, to have that, Time Wizard and Dark Sage on an open field. That amounts to...let's see...something close to 5500 damage. Also, it helped that Apprentice Magician could search Time Wizard out. Who knew? |

Too bad you didn't have Giant Trunade or you could have had an additional monster!!1! Also you know what you should do just to be an ass, play Cyber Dragon, chain limiter when your opponents turn starts, chain ring of destruction to Limiter, and then chain barrel behind the door to ring of destruction. |

The Dark Magician is kinda crapy, though this fusion with the buster blader is really nice, and he isn't to hard to bring out if you use skilled dark magicians, the problem i have with him is that most of his support cards can only be used with him on the field, they should atleast be useable with the DMoC or the DMG(who should get a boost from the DMoC by now) on the feild. Edit : To Alpha, in GX after I got Morphing jared by Bastion once I came out with a powerbond, a megamorph, a limiter removal, an axe of despar and a horn of the unicorn in hand with three cyber dragons in graveyard, needless to say that was painful. |

Yeah...That would make you unpopular. You know what's annoying? I appear to only have two Cyber Dragons. Very irritating, that. |

I haven't played with Cyber Dragon before, nor played against one but they seem kind of overrated. And hey people play pretty unoriginal as it is, all this +1,-1, 1 for 1 crap, it's something you consider not something you build a deck around the idea of. |

Yeah, trying to reduce a game to mathematics makes the game feel less...human, you know? Although, it would help make the AI opponents feel more realistic. Today, I duelled this guy that pulled Lava Golem on me. Then he Snatch Steal'd it. This would normally be a decent move if not for the fact that he had just activated Gravity Bind not two turns previous. Do you find Sakuretsu Armour as annoying as I do? Honestly, it's just silly... |

I never play against it, I only play with 3 or 4 guys and we play pretty different from usual poeple though I'm going to playing more mainstream people, even though I'll just try my Jinzo. Yeah that move seems...retarded, actually Lava Golem IS a 2 for 1, it's strange how people are the crazy for that sort of thing. Personally me, I'm more of a take options out kind of guy, rather then try to take out my opponents monster I make it difficult for him to even have stuff he needs, like spell, traps or even the ability to attack. Also it's retarded because I could have a deck full of 1 for 1 and I'd probably lose alot. This whole "card advantage" thing seems like some straight up bullshit. I don't care if you got 5 more cards then me, I got Jinzo, Horus lv 8, Ground Collaspe and Ojama King (don't play with the last two), unless you have Lava Golem you lose. |

I would settle down and be a serious player if not for that the teir 1 decks don't have a feel I like about them. Kinda like magic when Onlaught and Mirrodin were in standard, god I loved Kamigawa |

I only faced one kid with a warrior deck, we've foughten 4 times he's beaten me all of them, though to be fair I never got my good stuff out. Though the main reason he beat me was because my deck is too slow to his speed deck, so I need some kinetic soldiers to fight him. |

I'm not saying that that's a bad thing. I'm just telling you how GTA is not linear. Mario 1 was linear. Mario 3 was less linear. Mario 64 was not linear. |

I don't see how that's possible, since they both accomplished being non-linear games. |

Well I'm still improving on it, it's a Horus Deck mostly but it uses degrees of stall, burn, and beatdown. But alot of that is only because of how my friends play, I'm trying to balance it all out. Basically to describe it, it's offensive/stall/burn, I stall till I have the right cards and burn them slightly on the way (though I do need alot more burn cards) and then I finish them off with the offense. MFD: Mario was trying to bring a different dimension to gaming, GTA is trying to be a living breathing world where you have control, you decide what you do and with it's lack of choice it's not that. |
