Honestly, I was never a huge fan of the show. And I'm also wondering where they'll go with the story; the last episode kinda tied things up rather nicely. Will they go from there, or pretend it never happened? |

*blinks* How the hell did that tie up anything? All it did was show that Fry has a chance with Leela....And I love that ep. I can't believe that Everyone is ADLIIIIIIIIIBING! |

I don't mean story-wise, because hell, what was there to tie up? It didn't exactly have a lot of long-running plotlines. I just meant that it brought a note of closure to the show, and I'm not sure follow-up movies will be able to manage that. |

Well, the movies would be great standalones. Besides, the one actual overarching plot was the Nibblonians v. the Brain Balls, and that was resolved. |

Futurama probably is one of my favorite shows on TV (Even if it's in repeats)... But I can't help but think these movies are a bad idea. I liked how it "Ended", it doesn't need more... |

Actually there was something left about that, some kind of prophecy that involved Fry and Leela. |

Why would an ancient prophecy have a part about who he's going to marry? There was defintely meant to be more, even Matt Groening said that the last episode wasn't meant to wrap everything up. |

Yeah, but whatever else he had left to say, it's probably too much to fit into a couple of movies. |

Well lets look at it like this, each episode of Futurama is 21 minutes without comercials, and the average movie is about 90 minutes. So this means we could either fit 4 episodes into a regular movie, or 13 episodes if they did a trilogy. The whole "Niblet" thing has currently span 4 episodes, the first one is the one where they get Niblet, the second is where the Brains are introduced, the third is one Fry becomes his own grandfather which sets up the final one we saw which is when he defeats the brain. So if that particular saga could supposely be ended in 81 minutes, why could a single movie or hell 3 movies do it? |
