ehh most of the classes have the basic stats, the only odd stat is one that affects how long the spells have charge times, but thats not important, I just really want to balance out the class skills more than anything. |

Ah, the skills as opposed to the stats? Right, right. That's fine. Good luck with that. Meanwhile... Yeah, I'd like when Greed is introduced, that it's not immediately apparent that he's a bad guy. Also, I'm thinking that something should happen during the Disease storyline that makes Gaita leave the group at the end of it. |

I still say Greed should be a guy who gives you rewards for collecting things for him. He wouldn't start acting bad until later on once you had given him enough of that he has you collecting. Sort of embodies the strengthening of greed, I feel. |

I still need a reason for the guy to leave in the first place. At the moment this part of the plot consists of "Party member gets sick. The party goes for the only known cure. Discover conspiracy involving Disease. Defeat Disease. Get cure to party member." What happens during that which could make Gaita leave the party? And what do they decide to do following Bels curing? Perhaps Kalibrand has discovered something he thinks they should investigate... |

Maybe Bel is such an ungrateful prick that Gaita just gets pissed off enough to leave. |

I think a mod needs to get busy on this one. As for a reason for someone to leave while the rest of the party is finding a cure to a disease, you could always have him look for another alternate cure that he can find on his own, or possibly have the cure consist of multiple ingrediants, one of which he can get on his own. |

Hmm. Not too sure about either of those ideas... Let's see.... Ah! How about if he runs into somebody he knows, recieves some bad news about something back home and has to go deal with that during the quest? Sneaks off without explanation when the party next stay at an inn or somesuch. |

Why can't characters ever just leave because of stress? "Killing all these fucking monsters is really taking its toll on me. I'm gonna rest here for a couple of days." "But what if we don't come back this way?" *looks at the overly expensive weapons that the party cannot afford in the weapons shop* "You'll be back." |

That...would be various levels of cool. The comedy direction I was gonna go with was Innkeeper: Hey, I'll let you guys stay free tonight. Party Member: Uh-oh. Cue inevitable plot event in the middle of the night... And then go somewhere else from there. But yours kinda works better. |

yeah. the group doesn't have to stay together forever. there's nothing saying some party members can't splinter off and do other things or rest during the quest. |

True enough. So... Now I just need for the party to either discover something, or be told something to make them go on a whole other adventure. Maybe make them meet up with Greed in this new one. |

How about the Party is hired on by a bank to guard the stage coach delivery to a far out town? Or they are hired to intercept the stagecoach. |

Okay... That might be workable into something. But the thing is you gotta connect "They cure Bel" to "They protect/rob a stagecoach". |

Alright, I'm taking those suggestions on board... And will be writing something up tomorrow about this section of plot. Thanks for the help. Let's see how much further I can get with it. Oh, but there is one other thing... Okay, two. Ilbin and Lerins introduction plots. What happens there? How do those guys get pulled in? |

Nothing really. I mean, I've programmed things like what has been said here in the past, and I'm pretty sure I can do it again easily. Let's see... I take RPG Toolkit, modify the character class and its read/write functions to have all the stats I suggested....Program the menu system(easier than it sounds) program the battle system(again, easier than it sounds 'cause RPG Toolkit comes with various in built functions designed to help implement a battle system) add new functions into the RPGCode utility....Oh, and modify the monster class in the same way as the character class. That's it. And this time I have a way better idea of how the system works so it should be so very much easier to do. |
