'Tall depends on the region and the religion, my good man. All depends on the region and the religion. Also, I hypothesize that Old Man Mike, chances are living alone, recieved the bulk of his gifts by mail and thus opened them on the off chance they were bombs or something work related. |

I got... a bunch of gift cards. $25 to Best Buy (from someone we got a $20 gift from best buy for, so... uh... profit? I dunno. It's probably going to go towards BC), $50 to Target (I dunno either, just smile and nod), $25 to Old Navy (do... do I shop at Old Navy? Is there an Old Navy in the town where I live? I dunno...), $25 to Walmart (more useful if there was a SUPER wal-mart where I lived...), a blouse that doesn't fit (it's XL but I think it's petite or something, but she gave me the gift reciept, so more money for Target... yay... I don't even know where the Target *is* in Gainesville)... I think that's about it thus far. I would rather have had $145 in cash... edit: what's wrong with opening a few presents Christmas eve? That's when the big party with all the family is, so we exchange presents then. It doesn't really matter to get them a day early. |

And it is now Christmas Day. Or has been the last four and a half hours. I like to call these hours the Chronic Insomnia time. I can never sleep. My inner child is a loud bastard with a sugar storage that makes a camel look dehydrated in comparison. Yeah, mixing metaphors. It's four in the morning. This is allowed. The only thing stopping me from tearing into the gifts is the fact that A) It would likely wake the family up, and they'd be in a bad mood B) If it didn't wake them up, and all my gifts were opened already, they would be in a bad mood. |

Yeah, it's generally always been that way with my family, too. Open gifts on Christmas Eve. Anyway, the haul for this year is... Nintendo Wii + Twilight Princess Season 7 of The West Wing Children of Mana (DS) FFV Advance (GBA) Naruto: Uzamaki Chronicles (PS2) $100 Gamestop/EB Games gift card $75 in cash |

Alright, my bro came home and we opened our gifts. From my bro, I got a Nintendo DS Lite (White one). From my parents, I got: The Light Fantastic (Terry Pretchett) Equal Rites (Terry Pratchett) Chainfire (Terry Goodkind) Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (Widescreen) and last, but not least, a preorder of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (not sure if it's the regular or Limited Edition, but either way it's cool) At work, I got a huge gift basket from the girl in the Salon (to provide a bit of background on this, I work in stock in the Home Department, and for whatever reason, the shipping company always sends the salon products on the Home pallets, so I'm constantly helping the Salon department)... and when I say huge, I mean it. Seriously. It like... requires both hands to hold it. Anyway, it was full of stuff like candy gum, a sketchpad (which I think I'm going to keep in my locker, so I don't have to cart my normal sketchbook back and forth), some lotion, and a few other things. In short, a very cool gift basket. I also got some candy and home made cookies from a few other managers/coworkers. All in all, a very good turn-out. |

There used to be an image here telling you to vote, but then Photobucket, the image site made to allow you to do third party hosting, no longer allows third party hosting without throwing a shitload of money at them... and I can barely afford to eat. So no you get some text of me bitching about it, yaaay! Also, go vote. Everyday I'm tumbl'n. "This bitch is makin' me all Paru..." ~Hang in There, Kogasa-san! | |

Say, did you ever use the older DS? If so, how does it compare to the DS Lite? |
