While I was alive for a good portion of the 80s, I don't really remember what I watched on TV (I think I was more of a book person). Tailspin and Darkwing Duck (which apparently doesn't count but I'm not sure I care) are all I really remember. I remember seeing Thundercats, but that was years and years later.

I'm suprised nobody else liked Tailspin. I must have been the only one who's a fan of Don Canard, Fearsome Pirate of the Skies!

I liked Tailspin, it just wasn't one of my favorites.

Ah man, how to choose..

Well, TMNT is definately at the top of the list. I had toys, I had lunchboxes, I was a fanboy before I knew what fanboys were.

Wasn't Darkwing duck a sort of spinoff to Duck Tales? Or was Launchpad the only connection between the two?

It was a spin-off of DuckTales. I vaguely recall crossover episodes, or at least some sort of connection... can't say what it was exactly.

An imdb search tells me that Darkwing Duck just barely misses the 80s. It was first shown in 1991.

LIL' BITS \o/

That was my all time fave.

I really loved David the Gnome, Rescue Rangers, Duck Tails, and.. Maya the Bee. I don't know if that counts though. It was made in 1975 in Japan but... I know I saw it by 1990. It doesn't say when America picked it up.

...Would Fraggle Rock count or no?

Can't forget Smurfs either. I know I watched it and loved it as a kid =D

Inspector Gadget
Malia Weinhagen talking about her father Dave Arneson

"The biggest thing about my dad's world is he wanted people to have fun in life," Weinhagen said. "I think we get distracted by the everyday things you have to do in life and we forget to enjoy life and have fun.

"But my dad never did," she said. "He just wanted people to have fun."

Ah! How can I forget Inspector Gadget!! A geek cartoon before there were geek cartoons! "Go-go-gadget Hat-coptor!" Woot!!

Here's a scary one... right next to Turbo Teen... there was a "Thing" cartoon, where Benny Grimm got all rocky by touching two rings together and saying "Thing Ring, do your thing!"

Man... I can't believe the shit I watched :P

Oh man, I remember David the Gnome... I wasn't a big fan, but I remember it.

And how could I forget Rescue Rangers... I don't think it knocks of Duck Tales, but it goes in the Honorable Mentions.

Did you watch the Mr. T cartoon?

If you didn't, you're still fine.

What was great about Inspector Gadget was that it was Don Adams doing the voice! ^_^

I remember that there was a cartoon I used to watch all the time, but for the life of me I can't remember the name.. there might have been two.

One of them had a koala for sure. This other.. a portal or something. I really wish I could remember it better :(

Edit: I think I found it: http://imdb.com/title/tt0302211/

Uh... a lot of people mentioned Tailspin.

Not for nothing, but I searched all of the 2 pages here and I'm the only one who's mentioned it.

When was Exosquad aired? probably not untill the 90's...

mostly around here, only one station would play cartoons after school, and they would only play Disney cartoons, so I missed out on a lot of cartoons back in my youth. I remember watching Tom and Jerry and Woody Woodpecker though in the mornings before school.

I mentioned it.

Also looking back over the thread I realized that I was reading DuckTales and thinking Tailspin for some reason during most of it.
