How the hell did I forget Rescue Rangers and Inspector Gadget? I have their themes downloaded on my harddrive, for nostalgia's sake! |

hmm... I remember the Mr.T cartoon and the MC hammer cartoon and the all-stars cartoon( o/~ "you can't be a goalie if you can't learn how to skate" o/~ *shudder) and that one about the highschool full of monsters. Real ghostbusters was my all-time favourite, closely followed by She-Ra. Jem, Voltron and Captain N. I used to watch the chipmunks cartoons too, the at the movies one and the one before that. I didn't like them very much though. I was in love with the Legend of Zelda cartoon. I thought it was the coolest thing ever after captain N. I was extremely disheartened when camp candy went off the air. I didn't get to see many episodes, but I loved the hell out of it. |

Mrs. Limburger : Crashing, and banging, all kinds of weird noises. Howling, moaning, frightful grunting, things falling out of closets, all over the place! Peter : Sounds like my weekend. -- The Real Ghostbusters, "The Hole in the Wall Gang" "Eat if you're hungry...punch if you're mad...and then... when you're wearing glasses, PRETEND TO BE INTELLIGENT!!" -- Masaru Hananakajima "Never has suicide been more appealing, until I realized how appealing murder would be." -- RTM | |

Knight also did. Anyway, since the choice is stated in the title to be a singular cartoon, I'll just say DuckTales, because that stands out as the best of all my favorites. I'll also point out that I wish that Avatar was an 80s/early-90s cartoon. If I like the show this much as a Young Adult(tm), then I can't imagine how much I'd have liked it when I wasn't aware of such things as "standards". |

I'm torn between Rescue Rangers and Transformers. Incidently, I don't think TMNT or Captain N actually count as 80s cartoons... But I could be wrong. Edit: My bad. I coulda' sworn they started in 1990... |

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started in '87, the same year as DuckTales. Captain N started in '89. So it barely counts. |

I remember watching StarBlazers, way back when... Edit=> Actually, I was just reminded of Gummy Bears. The later episodes kicked serious ass... |

Hey, anyone have the desire to watch the original Ninja Turtles cartoon? No reason. Just want to discuss this desire. Over PM. |

Grrar, I had an intense dislike for that show (gummybears). The snorkles, the smoggies and the smurfs, too! grrrarr! |

I think part of my intense hatred from the smurfs comes from the fact that it was actually more bearable to watch it in french, and I HATE FRENCH. |

Sorta. Technically it was three series, Macross (first series), Genisis Climber Mospeda, and one series I don't remember. It was presented as three generations facing the crisis of alien invaders. |
