as I mentioned before, I was the guy dressed up as Spider-man today for work, and honestly, it was loads of fun. Never mind my slightly less that superheroic physiques or the pretty cheap costume.

So, for six hours, I played around with the kids, took pictures, and stayed in true Spidey character.

And the kids loved it, there's a few that I just really enjoyed too.

There was somebody taking polaroid pictures and one kid asked me to autograph his. That was special.

Another kid said, "hey, he sounds just like Peter Parker." To whcih I eplied, "Oh come on now! Secret Identity!"

There was also another id that came up in a Batman T-shirt and started talking to me, went something like this.

kid: I told my mom that you'd say something about my shirt but that it's be okay since you can have more than one favorite superhero, but you're really my favorite.

me: It's okay, you've got taste, True Believer! (all the kids I talkd to were either called "True Believer" or "Spider-fan") I'm a lot more fun than bat-guy anyway (leaning in to whisper) besides, he's got bad breath.

kid: (amazed like he's been told some super secret) He does?

Me: oh yeah ... he can be a bit of a jerk too. Trust me

Like I said, i was having a ball, and there's talk that they might do this again when the movie actualy shows up in theaters.

Next time, you should totally get the Spider-man sillystring webshoters!

...that's pretty awesome.

And obviously, a baby fair is a day when people go outside and stand under tents, displaying all the new models of babies for the new year.

I must of been of work that day.

Oh, another thing I had going for me in the Spidey suit, is that I'm prety flexiable, and that combined with geting into weird poses and being freindly, is about all most kids could ask for in a Spider-man.

I think during the corse of the day, I stretched out more than I have since I left active duty.

You look like you could play the part better than Toby does.
Malia Weinhagen talking about her father Dave Arneson

"The biggest thing about my dad's world is he wanted people to have fun in life," Weinhagen said. "I think we get distracted by the everyday things you have to do in life and we forget to enjoy life and have fun.

"But my dad never did," she said. "He just wanted people to have fun."

In honor of that, I bought a Spiderspud today.

Oh I am a weak man.

I'm glad you had fun. Kids love it when you're in character.

Yeah, but after I explained that I wasn't really Spider-man, they lightened up and only continued to beat me up for another half hour.

That Scorpio-Venom is like, so dreamy. Much hotter than that tired old world war one fugly thing, whatever its name was.
