Things have slowed down since the old days. I expected a three page discussion on the use of the word "Hope" to describe the wave in question with detailed theories and speculation (cross referenced and with links to vital comics) on how this may or may not be connected to Hope Keene. Letting me down man!

Megaman for a moment seemed to roll back the clock to a time when heroes were good guys, villains were bad and nobody needed a whole lot of characterization and exposition, basically the good old days for a lack of a better word, more Captain N's time than Captain SNES's. So, if Megaman coming back could do all of that, I can't help but wonder what would happen if the rest of the N-team all got back together. |

I think that's the Warp Zone of Life. I doubt Captain N, Simone Belmont, Pit, and Lana have the same power. |

This, of course, means that Hope has a connection to the Warp Zone of Life. Perhaps they both share some sort of essense-of-video game energy that emphasizes the good ol' days, and fights the depressing real-world-effect of the Sovereign and such (Omega waves, is it?) THis is pure speculation, of course. But the fact that Hope apparently has a connection to Videogame-ness, or reality as it was, and to the Warp ZOne of Life, is interesting. Another thing to ponder over the years, and another number on the pile of seemingly unrelated clues about Alex's babysitter and/or the Princess. |

This is the best comic in the series to date, hands down. Likewise, it probably deserves a lot more discussion than has been given. I have been reading this comic forever, and this appears to be the first time something could counteract the Sovereign's effects. Also, Roll will probably be converted here, which according to Rock, would be the first instance of it occurring. |

I want to see the second comic before I commit myself to new theories. But what is their to theorize about? We already know Hope is the anti-sorrow. |
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

Whatever power Green Megs has over Blue megs is strongly implied to stem from the Warp Zone of Life. This means that Hope has some connection to the WZoL, although we have no clues as to what. |

It is interesting that the green wave that this New Megs character emitted is similar to the green wave emitted by the ring Alex got in the desert, which cured him of his desert cold. Perhaps there are conflicting powers here... Cannot wait for the comic tomorrow...I suspect it will be the best one to date.. |

It probally the same thing. The Warp Zone of Life could easily be powered by Survialism. Ie. Why Haggar's and.....the Vampire in the blue Top hat, had less profound reasons for getting over it, where as Wily's was most likely to the point where he was getting as ambitious as he use to be. Where as the Sorrow wave affects/powered by Nihlism. Case in points. When affected by the sorrow wave The two were affected but in laughable ways, Where as Wily was most likely affective by how much he failed. BUT the Sinstrals weren't affected the same way, because they are Nihlistic, Gades didn't seem to care where as Dhaos wonder what the frick it was. |

I don't know if the need to survive is what the wave embodies - probably something more abstract, like hope or love or something like that. The wave seems to make the characters typify what Alex missed about the old games - he said that the old games were more innocent and imaginative, and invoked those feelings that really invigorate a child (he said this when Ryan asked him what he liked about the SNES games more) - whereas the newer games were mere commodities, "they're too polished. They're soup cans". And he says that this turn in the video game market was representative of his own life: "I don't know. It just might be me. Life turned out so much differently than I expected it to. When I was a kid I thought the real world was like this world..." And it is interesting that the green wave seems to typify Ryan's philosophy on life more than Alex's. Alex has become much more jaded and pragmatic (ie willing to sacrifice the Sailor Scouts, curses, etc.) with the hardships of life, while Ryan has held tightly onto principles and idealism via religion. |

The green and the purple are two diametrically opposed forces in this comic. The easiest distinction is the green is Hope and the purple is Sorrow, as in the princess and babysitter, and the Sovereign. They're also ideologically opposed more than just this emotional opposition. Green seems to represent when Heroes were Heroes and Villains were Villains. The good ol' days. Purple represents the SNES era (the SNES actually HAS purple on it), when the technology allowed for more complex plots, and introduced conflicted heroes and conflicted villains. Their sorrow makes them fundamentally different from the heroes of old. One could argue that by becoming Megaman N, Megs let the good ol' days back into his heart. That once Cecil ditched his (purple) Dark Knight duds, he became a Hero of Hope, a Paladin. With green eyes. Only when Frog let go of his conflicted nature and took up the Masamune did he become a Hero of Hope. Masamune is what saved him, what blocked the Eater of Dreams's attack. Frog also seems more confident and assured, a stark contrast to his Sorrow-inflicted friend Lucca. There are alot of ideological differences between the two sides. And they're about to come to a head in this battle. |

And while I don't think this purple/green motif should always follow (Boogerman is green, Amon's hair is green, etc.), it's interesting that Ryan's textbox is green... And you stated that all these ideological differences are coming head to head in this battle. I think it is interesting that aside from Mario/Magus and Bowser, almost every other main character and side story at the moment is in the midst of a battle, and a scenario where two conflicting characters are fighting head to head. Kain and the Cat, Lucca and the Eater of Dreams, Cecil and Spoony, Alex and Gades, etc. It seems as if JD has (intentionally or not) made it so that every individual conflict presented in this Act has yet to appreciate its climax. |

Giant confusing splash-panel battle comic across the Videoland multiverse? Also, you point out that Ryan's text box is green. Alex's is purple, too. |
