Well, one way you could do it is to PM me. And I'll give you my Email so that you can mail me the .wav files (if you've got several files you might need to send more than one).

Another way is to post the voice clips on Youtube and post a link right here. That would probably be the easiest.

As an admin, wouldn't you be able to check file sizes on the server?
"Speaking of being terrible at games, Red fumbling with the blocks in Magnet Man's level has to be seen to be believed. If the definition of insanity has to do with expecting different results upon trying the same thing, then he must be one of the most insane people I've ever known." - Brickroad

The Guardian Legend - By Red Silvers (VLP): Our Red Silvers continues to find the weirdest worksafe pictures of the game's protagonist, a plane that transforms into a waifu.

Super Metroid - By Red Silvers (VLP): I think it's safe to say at this point, that Samus ain't leaving her suit once Red Silvers finally gets around the finishing this game.

Fantastic Dizzy - By Red Silvers (VLP): Fresh off his recent run of Super Metroid, Red Silvers tackles yet another, err... classic? (Egg-scuse me for being confused about Red Silvers' next choice.)

Silver, it's not ON the site yet. I'm asking about the sound files. That's a crapload of audio.

Ummm...Unzipped, I'd say, 2.49 GB total. Probably too big to email...I can use a file hosting site for you to download off of though...

The real question is, does the server have the space to host that? And the bandwidth to let people download it? O_o

Yeeeahhh... I think just leaving it on the file-hosting site for people to grab if they want to is going to have to do for now. I'll talk to JayDee about anything else, but I think that's a bit more than we need to put our bandwidth through right now.

I'm new to the recording thing...

Is there anything on Windows Vista to record my voice? I already have a mic, just need a good program to record audio.

You should have Sound Recorder on Windows Vista as well.

Also Knight, here's my plan. I will put each of the audio clips...All 592 of them...or as much as humanly possible onto Mediafire. I will then give you or Jay Dee or whoever's the webmaster, a link to each and every one of them. I'd like to see these put on their respective comic pages.

The eventual plan is that there will be two versions of the Audio: The Narration and the Story. The narration is done already thus far. The story will require volunteers and such. I'll do other voices as well, but I don't see this as something I alone can do.

Okay, Teach, I admire the effort here, but I'm gonna go ahead and flat-out say NO here, since hints don't seem to be working.

To give you some idea, it took me four weeks to go through and set up everything for this particular comic setup, and that's not including all the time people spent on cleaning up various mistakes I made in the process. I still have to have knight do some work on the site itself, and until we get to that, any other work is basically a pipe dream. I'd do it myself, but anything like that invariably cuts into comic making time, and I still have a bunch of other projects that I have to get done.

My feeling on this is that it might be better to have a separate page set up with links to the comics, and the corrosponding audio. Someone else on the forums could do that, and it'd also relatively easy access to all the audio at one. I can drop in a webpage, and make a link off the front page pretty easy. Something like that will both ensure people who are interested can find it easily enough, and at the same time avoid clutter at the bottom of each page and/or a massive amount of work to integrate it into the site and make it look sleek.

Sorry I didn't mention this earlier, but I'm somewhat infrequent on my forum reading, except when it comes to getting feedback.

Okay. Sounds like a plan. I'm going to put some finishing touches on my audio clips so they're more organized.

So anyone here know how to put up a webpage?

This is what my stepbro uses.
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

This reminds me of my old, old, failed attempt to make CSNES into a flash movie. I only skimmed the thread, but I wouldn't mind helping out if you need me.

A few comments on the first post:
All four of Bob's forms don't need to be voiced by the same person. >.> Since his body changes there's a good chance his base voice changes so if someone else can do another form better you should allow for that.

And a comment from my lurking over at Voice Acting Alliance: As much as you may want to auto-cast yourself as certain parts, namely all of the narration as you have done here as well as locking yourself into Alex and your brother into Ryan, it's fair to at least let others try out to see if they can do better. If this was VAA and not just a non-voice acting forum based around the comment, you'd get MANY more posts about this as well as some people who wouldn't try out because of it.

And finally a comment from my time on my old Flash Project: JayDee should have some sort of final say on voices, as it is his comic. This goes extra for the main characters. Now I don't know if you've shown him your Alex voice yet, but he may have something different in mind.

Well, that's my rant. Like I said, I'm open to help do a few voices if I think I can do them and you like them.

Cevian if this was VAA, He probally would be asked to reformat his entire Audtion to fit the guidlines, to add in lines, voice type, and ect. The Self-casting and what not is just the tip of the cake =p.

Edit: And for PRograms, Windows Sound Recorder Will get the job done....but Goldwave or Audicity may be a better choice to use.

Edit2: You should use VAA you'll get more resposnses, maybe. It would help if you had Flashes of htis made alreayd and just need the voices to finish it up. And one more comment on Megaman. His Mega Man 8 voice? Really? Seriously? I mean yes its the same character, but you're picking the voice from the Dark Age of Video Game Voice Acting? And it would seem that this Mega is more "Grown up" from the Mega Man 8 Mega.

Edit3: I came off a little rude and didn't mean too. The Project is a good idea it just...need a more polish to it.
Notty: You yourself said you were the master of reusing tired jokes until they were so unfunny that they literally absorbed fun and happiness from the universe.

You're right, but as far as things that I still think are relevant since this isn't VAA the Self-Casting was what I was commenting on. I'm not going to be an audition thread Nazi and make everything perfect, I'm just trying to give others a chance at a few parts.

In any event, if you DO head over to VAA to get voices for this I suggest you watch MasaVox. It's a set of video tutorials on Voice Acting for Web productions. It may be geared to people looking into voice acting and not getting voice actors, but it's a nice look into how things run there and on other sites.

Also, I suggest Audacity as well.

True. You're quite right on that. I could do that. But part of the reason why I wanted the same person doing Bob's voice was mainly for...consistency; to give you the idea that this is in fact the same person. It's an asthetic thing, I know but I kinda feel that two people voicing the same character is a little wierd. Jack Skellington for instance is voiced by two people: one for his talking and one for his singing. It's JARRINGLY different if you listen to it.

That's...easier said than done. There were some very good reasons why I did cast myself as Alex (and my Brother as Ryan). For one, I can at least guarantee that I'll be able to record and put in my own voice at the drop of a hat. I can't guarantee that with other actors, and God knows what I'd do if one decided to suddenly quit. That would suck. For another, my brother lives with me so we can literally bounce lines off eachother. Plus, as far as narration goes, it's quick and efficient. It only took me a week to get all the voices in for the narrative portions.

That being said, I'm not giving up my spot on Alex. Though if you're wondering how good he sounds...well, try and picture Max from Sam and Max (Telltales Games), that's what my voice settled on as I was reading off the lines.

Ryan on the other hand...well...My brother...my older brother's voice is kinda deep...which is odd I know since it seems to me that Ryan might be younger than Alex. I might be willing to relinquish Ryan's role...but I need to be impressed with the voice and said person better be willing commit all the way (even if it takes years), especially if I'm going to replace each of my brother's clips with said person.

I DID show Jay Dee my stuff from Act I. He hasn't commented yet. I'm not sure if that means he doesn't care or if he hasn't read it yet. I also asked him what Ryan sounded like before stringing my brother into this. No answer. So I decided to go with what I had out of the sake of convenience and availability.

Sorry. This is audio only. The comic itself will be the Visual portion. As an animator, I can already tell you that animating this will take an ETERNITY. Plus, there isn't a drive to animate something that is light years away from an ending (in both time and distance). Just ask the people who tried to do that animated 8 Bit Theater.

Oh HELL YESS!!! I swear to God, I laughed my ass off when I first heard that voice. I do love it so, even if it is terrible to listen to! But aside from my personal tastes, I do have a few other reasons.
1) Believe it or not, Megaman...or rather, Rock is not a man but a boy (as far as robots go). You have someone with a rather idealistic disposition of trying to bring peace without killing anyone human, plus you have him constantly falling for Wily's tricks and trying to save everyone. It's the naivite of a child, rather than the hardened realistic outlook of grown-up.
2) It's VERY different from Alex's ideal of Megaman. Most people, including myself have heard the Popeye-like, froggy voice from the Captain N show. It's really the best reference aside from that shitty American cartoon they made which is NOTHING like the real Megaman anyways. I'm sure that the childlike (almost girllike) voice of Rock would disillusion Alex's ideal image of him.
3) It's just fucking hilarious to listen to.
4) Even if Megaman is "grown up" and his attitude has hardened, he is still and always will be just a boy. Nothing will change that.

Well this is different then a singing voice and a normal voice. I see what you mean with that, but since one character is Spanish you might want to keep an open mind as far as that goes. Have the same person for all the forms except that one if they can't pull off the accent.

There's a place in VAA for Audio Only productions. This would be considered an "Audio Book" type production I think.

And I'm not sure about what characters to try for. >< I'll try to have an idea for it by the time I stop coughing. I can link you to my YT channel I have vids of me talking if you want to hear my normal voice.
