Wow, huh. Guess they didn't factor in the Sovereign doing something else to protect Alex from them when they came up with this plan. |

"I'll do what's expected of me." Is Alex talking with someone in the battle ball? EDIT: Not the Sinistrals, I checked back. |

Well, Nintendo did start as a producer of handmade hanafuda cards. What video games had cardgame minigames? All the ones I know are either casino games or RPGs. ... Unless they mean... Setzer's cards? |

"Speaking of being terrible at games, Red fumbling with the blocks in Magnet Man's level has to be seen to be believed. If the definition of insanity has to do with expecting different results upon trying the same thing, then he must be one of the most insane people I've ever known." - Brickroad The Guardian Legend - By Red Silvers (VLP): Our Red Silvers continues to find the weirdest worksafe pictures of the game's protagonist, a plane that transforms into a waifu. Super Metroid - By Red Silvers (VLP): I think it's safe to say at this point, that Samus ain't leaving her suit once Red Silvers finally gets around the finishing this game. Fantastic Dizzy - By Red Silvers (VLP): Fresh off his recent run of Super Metroid, Red Silvers tackles yet another, err... classic? (Egg-scuse me for being confused about Red Silvers' next choice.)

It's either a ref to all the card game anime or spin offs like yugioh or pokemon or the e-card reader most likely the e-reader as some of the cards could do some major things to the games they went with. |

Cards..cards.. certainly not memory cards since they were post SNES era. Is there a card reference in the Captain N cartoon? |

He said a deck of cards. That could be many things: The card game from Mario 3, Setzer's cards, etc., but given the importance of Advance here, I wouldn't be surprised if it were e-reader. But as those weren't actually in-game, I think it's got to be an item. I wouldn't think it would be Pokemon, since the cards were not present in the video games, and Alex probably hated the cards. And I can't think of any popular card-based video games from this era. Those were still mostly in Japan. |

Think about it from an in-comic sense: what can make Alex unstoppable? If he gets his equipment (and pants) back. How does he do that? The password. My guess is, the decks of cards in Nexus either have the password on them, or have clues to the password on them. |

Problem with that is, how would Wily know that a deck of cards have the password (or clues to a password) to something he didn't even know existed. |

I was thinking more along the lines of the cards you could get in various games that grant you powers or attacks, such as the ones in the SNES game Ogre Battle. With the power of Omega energy behind it, it may also expand what they are capable of doing (he mentioned it's as if he's touched, and we've been told this can augment one's powers before), so if a card was "kill all enemy forces on the map" to "kill all enemy forces in the city," or "become invincible for one turn" to one hour, or one day. |

There used to be an image here telling you to vote, but then Photobucket, the image site made to allow you to do third party hosting, no longer allows third party hosting without throwing a shitload of money at them... and I can barely afford to eat. So no you get some text of me bitching about it, yaaay! Also, go vote. Everyday I'm tumbl'n. "This bitch is makin' me all Paru..." ~Hang in There, Kogasa-san!

It actually could be ANY deck of cards. Since he said "A deck' and not "the deck" and he talked about Haggar banning them almost as if they're a simple to find item. |

Whatever the case with the cards, this does explain why Wiley would want to **** Alex's **** up, so that Alex would respond that Wiley doesn't **** **** up, but that Alex ****s **** up, and that he ****s **** up like a superstar. |

He might do something to the Super Scope, as he seemed pretty worried about that. I guess. |

He's already unstoppable, or at least the Scope is. But he's not omnipotent. Now, let's see, what sort of card-related ability could...oh, gods no. In an completelyunrelatediswear tangent, we really need to see the resolution of cat & Kain. |

Not omnipotent. Unstoppable. I think the Omega Blast and the D-Cells means that he will win at any "game" ever. He's the mother fucking Game Master, after all. |

Could be a reference to the fact that nothing it truly random when it comes to computer programs/video games. Sure, you can have some pretty sophisticated algorithms simulating "random chance", but even those can be cracked if played around with long enough. Having access to something like a deck of cards or dice might reveal that fact to Alex and give him a means of figuring out the algorithm of Videoland, effectively making him "omnipotent" (as another poster called it) as he could always insure success in anything he does. |
