Wait one gorram minute here. You're telling me that... Act III's already over, and we didn't even get to celebrate it? You manipulative bastard. Kidding, kidding. If I may, though, I think Chapters is a better name for this. Chapters would give you more freedom. Plus, after five, Act will start to sound silly. I think Acts tend to be used for 1-5 separate chapters in plays. TV shows and movies tend to use a three-act structure. Novels, graphic and otherwise, use chapters or volumes, and have more freedom with how many you use. Just my two cents. |

I'm just surprised he didn't make a joke about the renumbering of the Final Fantasy games in America there, considering why most of us have been anticipating Act |

"Speaking of being terrible at games, Red fumbling with the blocks in Magnet Man's level has to be seen to be believed. If the definition of insanity has to do with expecting different results upon trying the same thing, then he must be one of the most insane people I've ever known." - Brickroad The Guardian Legend - By Red Silvers (VLP): Our Red Silvers continues to find the weirdest worksafe pictures of the game's protagonist, a plane that transforms into a waifu. Super Metroid - By Red Silvers (VLP): I think it's safe to say at this point, that Samus ain't leaving her suit once Red Silvers finally gets around the finishing this game. Fantastic Dizzy - By Red Silvers (VLP): Fresh off his recent run of Super Metroid, Red Silvers tackles yet another, err... classic? (Egg-scuse me for being confused about Red Silvers' next choice.) | |

Heh! Act 2.2 felt more like an Act 3 anyways. I'm personally glad this comic isn't going for a 3 act or 5 act structure. Hell, look at One Piece! Each arc is its own 3 act structure! (Then again, the story as a whole also has a 3 act structure...and it's just winding down Act 2) |

Whoo-hoo! Can't wait for some FF6. Though I'll take anything, really. This comic is like 16-bit heroin. Seeing t update makes me want to work on my own projects. *gets back to work on Mother Brain* |

This. It really will fit how things are going, and sounds better (As well as placing less pressure to have a specific Chapter be any sort of length. Chapters come in all sizes after all). |

I don't disagree with you, and I waffled quite a bit on this, and got quite a bit of input. The main reason I stuck with Acts, at least for now, is so I can say that I finished up Act III. It's important psychologically to me. Plus I have a friend who's been giving me a hard time about Act III. Changing it to chapters would be a concession. |

I like Acts better too. Trust me those pages are MUCH TOO LONG to be considered mere chapters. 200+ pages usually constitutes an entire book, not a chapter. Besides...I've already got a chapter breakdown in my Audio production anyways... |

... OK. I understand that it's important to say that Act II and III are finished. Act VIII will still sound silly. Sorry, it's the truth. |

I see your point, and I will chew on it a bit. Maybe I'll throw up a poll and see what people think. But for now, I declare victory! [size0]By redefining it. |

Please don't change the Act thing. As a longtime fan I've gotten so used to Acts. And 200+ page chapters sounds much more ridiculous than Act 10. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I don't think of that stupid 3-Act rule...here I think of acts more like Arcs, or Parts, or sections. Those chunks are much to large to be chapters. Besides, Jay Dee already made his decision! I say we go with it! Having Act III done before it begins is surprising...but here it kinda makes sense. (I couldn't imagine a story this long taking a 3-Act structure anyways). |

JayDee said he planned on a five-act structure. (People do still read Shakespeare, right? *sigh*) And epics have books. Fuck! Books is actually the best idea. Book I, Book II, Book III, etc. |

Personally I think it would be better to just rename them Arcs, because there's no limit really on how long they can last. And it starts with the same Letter! Also Roll dies! Rock Cries! JayDee Lies! Cid flies! Eater of Dream Fries! Bob Pies! |

Only five acts? That's news to me. If it had been my choice, I would've originally gone with Parts, like in Monkey Island. Or smaller chapters at ~20 pages each. Example chapters: Chapter 1 - The Nightmare Begins: Pages 1-24 Chapter 2 - Alex and the Weakest Link: Pages 25-45 Chapter 3 - From Chrono Trigger to Final Fantasy IV: Pages 46-72 Chapter 4 - The Game That Doesn't Exist: Pages 73-82 Chapter 5 - The SNES Team (I): Pages 83-100 Chapter 6 - The Treasure Room of Destiny: Pages 101-120 Chapter 7 - Kentucky Fried Chocobo: Pages 121-146 Chapter 8 - B is for Boom: Pages 147-162 But Since Jay Dee is going with Acts, I'm sticking behind him. Each storyteller has his own method of storytelling. |

"... and laid the whole thing out like a Shakespearean play." Shakespeare's plays were a very traditional structure, with five acts. |

I also think redefining it to "chapters" doesn't sound as cool as just keeping calling them acts. So what if chapter is more literarily correct? This is a comic! ...plus, although they're generally not broken up in any proper way, I've seen plenty of games with a "Final Act", and I can't remember any offhand that have "chapters". Except Odin Sphere, but that had a literary theme, anyways. |

At this point if it where me, I'd likely just label the next part "Act 5 Chapter 3 Part 6: the Sequel" or something. |
