Well... ain't that the perfect way to win. How much damage you think Kain will take before giving up and running away? |

Maybe he'll be stuck, unable to run away from battle, like Spoony. |

Well, friend, that depends on how much damage the cat does when he attacks directly, rather than via counter-attacks. However, it is far more likely that Schro will soon run away himself with his newest pilfered trinkets. |

Yes, a perfectly ordinary cat, which knows how to use a met hat... A cat in a hat! |

But remember, if the cat had just wanted to steal the Crystals, it would have done it the same way it took the directions from Kain. The cat is baiting Kain on. (You might even say, it's a master at it) |

The cat is holding Kain in battle, like Cecil has Edward trapped. I'm curious as to what else the cat took. |

Holding in battle... something is about to happen. If you'll recall, Cecil was in contact with the man in the mirror, who likely knows something that Shrodinger also knows. Something big thats going to happen soon. Something that they want to keep the villains and villain-controlled characters away from. |

The Damcyan Peace Conference, I'm sure. Also, before anyone asks, I assume Alex had to go through the whole "Nexus of Battle" arc to distract Ryan. He could have just been upfront that the cat stole the Met hat from him. |

I don't think the cat took anything from Mario. I think Mario just knew of the cat because of how the cat entered Videoland. |

... Except that would eliminate a perfectly good Chekov's gun if the Cat didn't steal something from Mario, and if their's one thing I know, is that JayDee can not resist perfectly good Chekov's guns or epileptic trees. Case in point, this comic. I had totally forgotten the Met hat. I didn't think it had any importance at all at the time. And then JayDee does the fricken "Nexus of Battle" arc to explain why Alex didn't have it! |

It's a perfectly good foreshadowing without the cat specifically stealing from Mario. Basically, Mario knows of the cat. And that's enough. |

Hrmm, this is actually a good point... I've got to remember "Videoland cuasality"=\="Reverse Occums Razor". |

Well, Wily does confirm that Schrodinger's been in Final Fantasy IV the whole time. I'm still curious as to how Mario would be aware of his existence...MFD's explanation seems solid but I think there's more to it. |

Of course there is. With the laws of causality as they are in Videoland, if one thinks there has to be more to it, then there most certainly IS more to it. Videoland causality may not equal "Reverse Occums Razor", but that still doesn't mean said Razor holds any real sway there. |

Mario was obviously one of the ones who saw Schrodinger come through instead of Captain SNES. |

It could have something to due with the Status of Mario in Nintendo World. |
