If Mario had a time machine, that would be a nice reference.

More on point, though, I agree that Megaman X has always been more SNES for me than Megaman 7, but hey.  Megs is an N-Team member, not X.

Maybe they could use Mario's Time Machine to get to the X World.

Actually, a time machine might not be needed. The SOS ravaged Megaland, causing what is commonly refered to by fans as the Cataclism, denoting how messed up the world got between the origional series and "MMX". Depending on how time flows in Megaland relative to Nexis, Omega may have already been mindwiped and become Zero by now. ...wait... Evil thought here... What year did Mega Man Zero come out?

The Guardian Legend - By Red Silvers (VLP): Our Red Silvers continues to find the weirdest worksafe pictures of the game's protagonist, a plane that transforms into a waifu.

Super Metroid - By Red Silvers (VLP): I think it's safe to say at this point, that Samus ain't leaving her suit once Red Silvers finally gets around the finishing this game.

Fantastic Dizzy - By Red Silvers (VLP): Fresh off his recent run of Super Metroid, Red Silvers tackles yet another, err... classic? (Egg-scuse me for being confused about Red Silvers' next choice.)

Actually, I believe it is official that Zero and Omega are different characters rather than Omega becoming Zero as it was shown that Dr. Wily built Zero specifically to be Zero. As for the Zero Virus that allowed for most of the problems in the X and it spin off series, I'm not so sure that Dr. Wily created that as he was always the type to want to have some control and the Zero Virus seems more like the work of somebody whom was trying to remove any sort of control altogether.

... We are a flux capacitor away from this being, like, the next time we see Mario and Magus.

The virus came from X, not Zero. It gives X his conscience, but drives less sophisticated robots mad. It also makes him emo sometimes.
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

No, pretty sure it came from Zero, what with Capcom being on the record as saying Wiley's consiousness is encoded within it...

No, you see, it is what gave Zero his conscience. That, or my theory has a flaw. Could be either, really.

Also, its explicitly stated in one of the games that Sigma became patient zero of the virus because when Zero woke up, he was in a berserk rage, the heroic Sigma found him, and stopped him by shattering Zero's forehead jewel, which gave Sigma the virus while removing Zero from its control.

If the virus came from X, then it would have started spreading soon after reploids came off the factory lines, and the Maverick wars would have started before anyone was unfortunate enough to wake Zero- rather than several years down the road and relatively soon after Zero woke sans memories.

The problem consideration there is the difference between "maverick" and "maverick virus". The same thing that makes X have free thought/will/conscience/whatever is the same thing that does let reploids go bad, since they're all based on his specs to some degree.

But then you have the virus, which is less about free will and rejecting the harsh human oppressors and more about being driven crazy evil berserk crazy.

Because, after all, there must have been mavericks before Zero was discovered. There were maverick hunters.

I'd love to see some of the Breath of Fire worlds... I admit, it would be mostly to see Alex being pursued by Katt while she's trying to hit him with her staff.

Also one of the Ninas being freaked out by Alex.

A game world suggestion would be the devious Brain Lord game despite that it may trap him there forever... :P
When I'm bored, I like to wander around and cast X-Zone on random things.

:ahem: I'll make this short as I can~

First! X? does not have a virus. No, he has free will. Something Dr. Thomas Light decided was dangerous, and so set a series of tests- meant to end at a specified time.

Dr. Cain used X as a base model for more reploids. Some of these reploids, through free will, decided to do bad things- the first Mavericks.

Zero was created by Dr. Wily. He held the original form of the Maverick Virus- (( some speculation says that was the original form of the Zero Virus, a part of his programming meant to keep the otherwise free-thinking programming stolen from Dr. Light under control. This is unconfirmed. ))

Zero became berserk when awakening, and rampaged- Sigma, a high-ranking Maverick Hunter was nearly defeated by him. However, a W symbol appearing on Zero's forehead gem caused Zero to become stunned- and Sigma smashed the crystal, defeating Zero but acquiring (this was unknown to him at the time) the virus.

The Maverick Virus, after man incidents, melded into a new form- the Sigma virus, which was Sigma's AI and Personality merged with it.

This Sigma virus was something X and Zero were immune too, for their own reasons.

As a final note, Omega is actually not Zero at all- just Zero's original body, enhanced in many ways and often wearing a powerful form of armor. The conciousness is actually speculated to be a form of the Sigma virus or Maverick virus, controlled by Wiel.

Edit! Another sidenote- Zero still has the maverick/zero virus! But he's basically immune to it's more common negative effects. Due it's influence, though, he is "mildly" unstable for some parts of the series. And we can't forget X6 (even if some of us want too~) and the Zero virus- which I won't go into any more detail of, here. Suffice to say it gets messed up.

Back on topic- I seriously hope Jay Dee goes for some Mega Man Zero gameworld stuff, somehow. The first one did come out in 2002...

I wouldn't mind seeing Alex's reactions to, say, the Mortal Kombat cast. If nothing else for him to to show off his own 'Fatality': a 30 Megawatt plasma cannon.

And there are others that have been referenced in non-canon comics, like Tenchi Muyo. Magic Knights Rayearth and Ranma 1/2 would be amusing.

Top of my list of hopes, though, is the ever-loving classic Tales of Phantasia. Particularly the old Dejap translated ROM. Alex would get a kick out of hanging with that Arche.

Well i don't know what would happen if they put them both together maybe they both go into wicking everyone's minds XD. Since well they be both very pervert as you could see in the game what Arche dreamed of.
... If you don't know it will be hard... But if you know it will be boring.

Oddly, Jim has been mentioned. By Max Force, I believe. I think it was in that sequence involving the dividing of certain characters into "Druggies" and "Non-Druggies".

Live-A-Live.

1: highly interesting (or at least funny) characters

2: Parallels with Chrono Trigger

3: I dare you to find a character that's a more perfect candidate for being Sovereign-Touched than Oersted.
