For the record, I like the Enterprise a little better.
There used to be an image here telling you to vote, but then Photobucket, the image site made to allow you to do third party hosting, no longer allows third party hosting without throwing a shitload of money at them... and I can barely afford to eat. So no you get some text of me bitching about it, yaaay! Also, go vote.
Everyday I'm tumbl'n.

I like star wars more, but my money'd be on the Enterprise simply because its a good guy ship. It has waaay more experience technobabling Deus Ex Machinae solutions to its problems no matter how bad, whereas the Death Star, being a bad guy station, will succumb to the first significant problem it faces.

The Falcon is another story.

Alex is being guarded by a Stormtrooper and a Red Shirt. ... I really don't think anything more needs to be said.

I think Green Megaman must be trying to goad him into being a hero by staging one of the traditional heroic story starters- breaking free from unjust imprisonment by someone technically friendly.

There is no way he would be that stupid otherwise.

I like to think that Red Shirt is arguing for the Death Star, and that Stormtrooper is extolling the virtues of the USS Enterprise.

EDIT: Also, they are so Henchman 21 and 24.

EDIT DOS: I finally got the title... "Hell is other people." "Actually, Mr. Sartre, it's other nerds."

Come now, I'm pretty sure it goes "In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sartre: 'au revoir, gopher!'"

I laughed.

And everyone knows that the Death Star would win.

The Death Star would blow up Earth, while a shuttlecraft manned by Westley destroyed it.
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

The Falcon is another story.

A good theory but with one problem.

Worf was on the ship, and we all know what happens to worf.

In this situation, that would only happen if he tried to duel Vader, Palpatine, or Tarkin.

You forget about the transitive property of the Worf Effect.

Not true, though. There are plenty of times the Enterprise is effective when Worf is just manning his tactical station.

What'd happen is, when the enterprise crew beam onboard the Death Star, Vader just tosses him aside.

The only problem with Death Star vs Enterprise arguments....people forget that the enterprise is a tad bit more maneuverable than the death star...so hitting with the worldboom cannon is a tad bit more difficult.

As much as I hate to step into this argument, the Death Star has armaments aside from the planet-kersplody lazer.

Frankly, the question of why a stormtrooper and a redshirt (although a TNG redshirt, I think) are guarding him is more important to me than the correct answer to their debate.

That's JD's 'why', not the in-comic 'why'. :P

Because that's what they're trained (however actually poorly?) to do in their own gameworlds?

Ever see a guy get a cushy job that is far away from everyone else cause no one else in the office likes him no matter how bad he would do it?

Because there are a lot of them, and being that they actually respect the rule of law they are far more likely to join the police force. Also, they both do their jobs quite perfectly until the plot demands it.

Assuming equal weapons and shielding output (which the hardcore fans don't as a rule), the Death Star would win for the simple reason that if the superlaser misses, it's still a giant space ball of doom with thousands of weapons emplacements. It has about 15,000 turbolaser emplacements and more railguns and proton torpedo tubes according to Wookiepedia, and being a giant ball of doom, it's likely that about half would always be pointed at the Big E (that means 7,500 beams of doom with the E's name on it). As far as I'm aware, even the Enterprise-E doesn't have more than 20 weapons emplacements, so it's pretty much SOL.

Of course, that's when plot power and the laws of narrative comes in, but that's the basic story, stats wise.

But I'm more interested in what Alex will do to get out of jail...
