Yeah, I'm now wondering what exactly she's up to here. My first thought is, she's making him believe that cynicism will lead to him becoming far more powerful in videoland, which will in turn make her more powerful so that when they face off she'll be strong enough to take him down without much effort. |

On the other hand, if he stays in prison, he cannot exactly die, which is her aim. Also, she probably doesn't want him befriending Megaman either. As such, she probably wants him to escape prison before he is forced into the Desert. Also, this is probably Hypocrisy disguised as Cynicism since she's not being particularly cynical or ironical. Also, the french means 'This is not a pipe' and it is JD paying homage to a poster of a pipe with a inscription that read "This is not a pipe". The inscription is supposed to be paradoxical. Real postmodern. Real existentialist. Real Art History 101. The poster, as pedantically clever as it is, really means that the image of a pipe is not a pipe at all - it is merely a visual representation of it. LIKEWISE, Videoland is a visual representation of Real Life, which may be a representation of something else, who knows? AND FUN! |

I think this means that he basically has godlike powers as long as he looks at things with the right perspective and imagination... Which explains the sprite nature of everything. He imagines things as being sprites, so they are. |

Oh! So that's why, before, she asked Alex why Videoland looks all sprited, when in Captain N, it looked entirely different. |

So, she's reminding Alex of the horrible truth that he can't draw and has to paste sprites together instead? |
