Ah, yes. Nice bit bringing back that little tidbit. And Alex is right, that song is all about context. From the standpoint of Sorrow, if life (Videoland) is a dream, then one day whoever is dreaming it must wake up, and everyone within that dream will die. From the standpoint of Hope, it is a far off goal one must strive for. ...or something. </Writer's Block>

Ah, he is saying what Videoland is here, methinks... If this turns out to be "it was all a dream" or "it was all a shared hallucination", I will be very disappointed. |

Interesting note: I'm not conscious of "Row" being a Lullaby. And that bit about a dream... Am I the only one that's thinking of Link's Awakening, which came after Link to the Past but before Ocarina of Time (which made Zelda's theme into a "lullaby") putting it in the late SNES era? (Of course, if that the case, then the Sovereign is either the Wind Fish or the Chief Nightmare.) Then again, if that's the case, then that brings the question of what is Ryan? Next general question: If the arc song is said to have the Sovereign's power in it, then why do they sing it at what is essentially an execution on the charge of being under the Sovereign's power? I don't think that the Catholic Church sings satanic verses during an Excommunication or a Defrocking. Nor would I think of Brtitsh songs being sung whenever an American is bereft of his Citizenship. Or Jewish Hymns when Sharia Law is being enforced. I sense a certain Inner Evil at work in Nexus' administration... and recall the end of Comic 164. Perhaps we will soon have the context for that video clip. My next question is will Alex find Marle, the Shard, or both before then? Finally, I bet that Alex somehow emits so much energy of so many different types (you can take that any way you wish) that he overloads the scanner in an explosion. EDIT: Starcat: You're probably looking for Aragorn's speech at the end of the 5th Appendix of The Lord of the Rings

| It's a flimsy pretext, but I'm sure that the N-Team have gotten away with worse. | |

Sir Donald, I share your thoughts on being reminded of Link's Awakening. Though I think the Sovereign would be the Nightmare. As for Ryan... your guess is as good as mine. And it still doesn't explain that darn cat! oh damn. Using the Link's Awakening analogy, what if the cat is the owl? Hope Keene would be the Wind Fish, and Alex is Link. Alex's inner parts are the Nighhtmare's. Bob would be... okay, there are multiple owls. The Sovereign or Ryan would be the top Nightmare (why the hell did that thing take the form of a gel monster?! Those are like the weakest enemies in ANY Zelda game, EVER!). Well, Ryan could just be a random jerk that gets roped into things. |

A few points, Sir Donald. 1) Have you considered using Donald from Kingdom Hearts for an avatar? Granted, he's the Royal Mage, not a Knight like Goofy, but I'm sure that he's been "Knighted", if you get my meaning. 2) In this case, the song is more of a "Funeral Hymn for the Damned". Poor Sparkster just doesn't realize that yet. 3) In all honesty, I do not remember that line. I guess it is time I stop watching live action and animated movies and reread the actual books. *Makes Sig* |

I think it is the touched that sing the song... |
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

Great, Now I'm thoroughly convinced that that the Sovereign of Sorrow is Hope Keene. |
