Remember that's a "third stager", third stage of infection by the Sovereign- and assuming that Her control increases as the infection develops, that means there probably isn't much of the original sprite left. Chances are, that isn't the sprite talking, but the Sovereign of Sorrow talking through the empty shell, in which case this confirms the Sovereign=Hope theory... |

Supports. It isn't confirmed until the Sovereign identifies herself. In other news... I'm remembering that the Shard is currently somewhere in Nexus. Granted, the prevailing theory is that Child!Rydia has it. But that still begs the question: Did this Prisoner 205 meet Child!Rydia? If not, then how else could you get Stage 3 Omega? And if so, then would Alex be able to connect the Shard to the Prisoner? And what would he do with that connection? Or does he even know about the Shard? (Bob does, but he has poor reception. Or could this connection clear things up between them?) |

My random guess is that it's the Gameboy Hope with a graphic update. |

What I want to know is, how is Hypocrisy involved? (S/he has to show up sometime, and you'd expect a prison to be the place... Either that or a trial, but it looks like Alex doesn't get a trial, only an EEG.) |

Etheric: My thought is that Hypocrisy is in the establishment. i.e. as a bureaucrat or a lesser official. (S)He is not required to be in the prison to have a hand in events there. Though (s)he probably did not want the meeting that's taking place now to happen. Gopus: Where'd you get that idea? Wily wasn't touched prior to Roll's Omega wave, which was likely countered by Mega's Alpha wave. And Light's infection came via Advance, unless there's something he's not telling us. Wherever the shard is in Nexus, it's not at Light Labs or in the Deputy Mayor's office. |

Maybe the idea is Wily had Carmen steal it? I don't really agree with that idea, but could see it. |

That, or the "Sovereign=Mirror!Hope" theory. It all depends on how much of a person's memory is passed onto one's Mirror Self. |

Lisa from Soul Blazer, yet another heroine left behind in a game, sensing a pattern here. Yet this game has a protagonist with no name, thus Alex. Should be interesting to see how this'll play out. |

I thought it was pretty clear that the Puzzle Wizard currently had the Shard, or at least the girl with the shard. |

She is, isn't she. Out of all the hours I put into that game, I really should have recognized her. I wonder how much of Alex's personality went into 'Blazer? |

I've always wondered about that. I always thought that those two hooligans were just pranking (and knew that the Puzzle Master would do something mean to Marle) and knew nothing of the shard. |

Well, she isn't asleep right now, so I forgive you. That game was a bit confusing since I and therefore my protagonist reincarnation angel samurai guy were named Lisa. But... Lisa and Lisa reunited in the end of that game. There was even a goat that was her mom. She never found out the true fate of her dad. WHY IS SHE SAD? ALEX HOW DID YOU ANGST THIS ONE UP??? Your contempt for theocracy resulted in Blue Dragon, your ideas about names and the nature of robot minds convoluted Rock's past, but she has a straightforward open ending, her world is in the clear for a few generations until Wil saves it in Illusion of Gaia, and then it is saved again in Terrenigma. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS ALEX? HOW COULD YOU SCREW UP SUCH A SIMPLE ENDING? You know, because everything is Alex's fault, not the SoS's or Bob's or Death Toll or Dark Gaia. |
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

WTF?!? How in the name of Hel's sweet, frost coated boobies did I ~MISS~ this!?! If ~ALL~ of Alex's self-named avatars are MIA, that could mean that the SoS, regardless of the whole Hope/Mirror!Hope issue, is in effect the gistalt of all of Alex's jilted videoland lovers. All those abandaned designated love interests, tossed aside like a two dollar hooker. Alex is more of a "Player" than even he knows. If the SoS is in fact linked to this horrable turn of events, than it is NO WONDER she has such a hard on where Alex(ander) is concerned AND wants to destroy all reality. She truely sees Alex as HER designated Hero, and the only way to keep him in her mind is to pull off a Romio and Juliette on a multiversal scail. *Shudder* |

Hm. Now that is an interesting theory. I certainly like it better than the "SoS=Hope" theory(though Mirror!Hope is still a possibility). I wonder if she would see Heroes actually named Alex (or some variant thereof) the same way, or if she just fixates on the nameless ones? As a side note, I'm pretty sure Hel's boobies are actually kind of gross, being half-zombie and all, but that's neither here nor there. |

Well, one of them is quite nice, the other isn't. The problem with this theory is, why would she be so tied to fate itself if she was a gestalt of friend-inserts- does she herself possess psuedo-Gamemaster powers as a result? |
