whatever the reason, I am now officially freaked out, and very scared, of that Touched. $5 says that the nstart of the next comic either has Ryan going "WHAT THE HECK?!" to his prisoner, or Alex going "ohhhhh FUUUUUU-" |

I think the commentary had more to do with us making fun of him for going on so long on a single project and giving him friendly ribbing over finishing it someday. The comic has awhile to go yet, so no worries about ending too quickly. If there's one thing Jaydee can do, it's draw something out. |

Doubtful. Bob said that the Shard was stolen by a child. She doesn't look so young. |

Random thought here. Maybe the "Powers of the Game Master" aren't things that just the game master is supposed to have access to. Think of it like this, the gamemaster can pause things, see things through a wall just because its on the same screen, and all that because he knows that's how games work. Perhaps anybody that knows that they're in a game and that's how games work could use that. For instance, Cecil doesn't understand his world is a game, to him his world is his world. Edward, knowing his game is just a game could potentially exploit game master abilities (if he knew exactly what those were.) |

Just throwing it out there maybe the Sovereign is a ROM hacker of sorts. She can supposedly speak through others (Altering there dialogue), changes certain elements of the worlds, and can alter data to see how she thinks it should be |

There's no mention of hacking at all in that comic. The item duplication is an in-game glitch in Final Fantasy IV. Changing character's names was doable in both Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy VI (though I'm not sure if you could outright change names in the latter, but you could name them when they are first introduced). |

While we're on the topic of the Sovereign's powers, I just came across something interesting:
In other words, the damned cannot perceive the past. They can only see the future. Now, who does that sound like to you... |

For the record, I only meant to accuse the former instance of being a hack. I often renamed my characters in my teenage years. As example, Tellah was often renamed to Gold 2 and Edgar to Red 5 (Yes, I gave my whole parties Squadron-Number names. Why do you ask? Incidentally, my FF4 number order was somewhat anachronistic. FF6 you may be able to spot the pattern.)
Then again, to the gameworld, what would be the difference between a bug and a successful hack? Also: Would Alex hack a game or employ a cheat device if he found a game unbeatable? Or if it gave access to deleted material? And, if the latter, how would that affect the respective gameworld? Finally, when the FF6 guys come along, will Relm bring her Sketch glitch? |

I guess that depends on which version of FF6 he owned, 1.0 or 1.1. |

"Speaking of being terrible at games, Red fumbling with the blocks in Magnet Man's level has to be seen to be believed. If the definition of insanity has to do with expecting different results upon trying the same thing, then he must be one of the most insane people I've ever known." - Brickroad The Guardian Legend - By Red Silvers (VLP): Our Red Silvers continues to find the weirdest worksafe pictures of the game's protagonist, a plane that transforms into a waifu. Super Metroid - By Red Silvers (VLP): I think it's safe to say at this point, that Samus ain't leaving her suit once Red Silvers finally gets around the finishing this game. Fantastic Dizzy - By Red Silvers (VLP): Fresh off his recent run of Super Metroid, Red Silvers tackles yet another, err... classic? (Egg-scuse me for being confused about Red Silvers' next choice.) | |

Sounds like the powers of Tragedy's Mask. The Shard of Tears does the exact opposite though, being able to see into someone's past but not their future. And once the Sovereign has access to both, she'll be able to see both forward and backwards. |
