Creeeepy. Thats what to think. Also, notably, the purple text is still HER talking, not the SoS talking through her. So, what then is the significance of the normal text? Maybe purple text is text where they're feeling Sorrow, and the joke made her happy/annoyed enough to lose it for a few sentences? |

I have a relative understanding of how the purple text works. It's still the person talking...but with a heavier influence from the Sovereign. Something like that. What gets me is why the hell Alex can see speech bubbles. It would be one thing if he was able to get some sort of echo or purple vibe from a sorrow-touched victim. But to see purple text? I mean, unless this is Umineko at play, Alex is definitely putting cracks in the fourth wall. |

He can see speech bubbles because Videoland uses speech bubbles. There was that comic where he could adjust the type of speech bubble, if you recall. As for the fourth wall... he's already seeing himself in third person... |

Super Metroid - By Red Silvers (VLP): I think it's safe to say at this point, that Samus ain't leaving her suit once Red Silvers finally gets around the finishing this game. (Egg-scuse me for being confused about Red Silvers' next choice.) | |

She is Influenced by the sovereign and when she got no purple text at all means that her power is not that greatly at that moment and pretty much the explanation is easy about alex and bubbles, He is from the real world unlike the other people |

What is the significance of a year after a year after the end of the game? I know why she does not know what he is like, he is a blank state in the game, and she rarely saw him anyways. She saw him in a dream, then gave him a paintbrush. He later rescued her. She was not around to see him use the paintbrush to enter her father's painting, She may not even know he can literally enter dreams. He was quite an empty character, in fact I thought his angelic detachment (or Buddhist peace, whatever, they did not translate it) was on purpose. When a crack appeared in it, when he cared for Lisa, the Master had him reincarnate down to human in her yard. Alex can see purple text but not fathom meanings behind it. Alex is deaf to mute characters who can give meaning to others. Or is it pure hearted? Or is it he can't hear the voice of his own childhood self playing those games? He can't do more than acknowledge the sorrow of others, without feeling it. Could that make him useful? Apathy is a dangerous thing. |
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

Apathy, hmm? Isn't that one of the Inner Evil things he's got running around? If so, maybe when he defeats it, he'll be able to understand things better? |

From the looks, it hasn't helped. Remember, the Alex in prison is the one that's been talking about all this after he's assumed to have defeated at least four of his inner demons. |

And yet still cannot tell what those "Mute" Characters say as pretty much only other game chars can hear them... |

Don't read too much into his ability to see the text color or inability to understand "silent" protagonists, it's really simple, he sees everything in 3rd person, which speech bubbles like any gamer would, and thus silent characters can't be heard, but text bubbles are clear as day.

But reading too much into things is fun! What do green Mega and Chrono have in common that Mario doesn't? |
