Yes. Remember Kain and The Littlest White Mage? |
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

Am I the only one who recognizes that Bio just got changed to Virus? Why the sudden namechange? |

It was Virus on the SNES, and Bio on the three other releases (PS, GBA, DS). So I'm going guess that JayDee played it orignally on one of the later platforms, but has recently gone back and is testing on an SNES copy. Most likely oversight, rather than plot-related. Especially with the spell "Cura" when it was Cure2 on the SNES. Either that, or game re-releases really screw with the reality of videoland. |

Well, if you remember Alex's explanation (and I'm not sure if I remember it all, or even correctly), Video Land's appearance and back story is dependant on the Game Master. Mayor Wright from Sim City became Dr. Wright, the guy who programmed the N Team version of Mega Man, FFIV ended up as whatever the latest save file Alex had for the game, ditto with Sailor Moon: Another Story, etc, etc. So, with Alex as the Game Master, Video Land is more messed up than the situation Alex is in his current flashback scene. Also, remember, Alex has obviously played both the SNES version of FFIV and I believe a ROM, due to Mithral Town/Silveron and that little joke. And I wanna get back to Kain VS Kitty! Somehow, I get the feeling the cat's power dwarfs even the Sovereign, if the cat's able to mess with Alex's life even after he's figured out how Video Land works and what Video Land IS (just reread cat VS Robots, laughed lots). |

Yes, but Alex is only halfway done with Nexus. He hasn't yet A: met Hypocrisy, B: rescued Marle from her "straight-jacket", or C: F--- Wily up like a F---in' Porn Star! (Sorry about that, guys. Reflexive self-filter.) On the other hank.. yeah, Kain's should be below 1,000 by now. It'll still be a while before the cat leaves him with just 1 HP, though. But the cat's powers are not as great as the Sovereign's... it's just different and unpredictable. The only strategy that cannot be directly countered is a random one. |
| It's a flimsy pretext, but I'm sure that the N-Team have gotten away with worse. | |

It's strips like this that remind me why I love this comic
|
| "I shall destroy all memories... all existance... all dimensions... and then I too shall disappear... FOR ETERNITY!" (Neo-Exdeath, FF5) | |
