What we value more than life itself, eh? Our entertainment? Or is it our sense of superiority and place in the universe? |

Our video games! Noooooo! It is kind of interesting to think that Cecil breaking Spoony out of his emo funk is what got Spoony moving and brought about his advantage. |

Is this the first time heard about anybody trying to act against the real world? I can't think of any other time it's been mentioned. |

I totally called what Spoony did there. And taking away our games doesn't make sense, since this is all based around SNES games that ended a long time ago. I doubt she has power over New Gen stuff. She could take away our nostalgia, or maybe inspiration for creativity when we were young, but that doesn't sound evil enough. Edit: Alan, I do remember it vaguely mentioned somewhere, but I couldn't tell you where. |

This seems like a fate worse than death. That said nice ending to this section. |

Pretty sure Spoony exposited wanting revenge on the real world when he was giving the origins of his pain, Anna being designed to die, etc etc. I don't think they've ever said anything about direct consequences, though. |

A bit of Spoony's phrasing caught my attention... "They imagine themselves safe in their precious little world of stardust and chance." Bearer of the Mask: "He is the bridge, between the True World and the world born of star-dust and chance." I'd taken the Bearer to mean the 'world born of star-dust and chance' was Videoland and the True World was... yeah, the real one. But, since Spoony speaks of the former as the real world... Interesting. |

It still counts as the same boss fight against the Antlion DX and I don't think there were any boss fights you could run from in FF4. |

Edit: bleh, missed the glimpse of the screen. I had hoped Kappa wasn't on the enemy side. WHY is Kappa on the enemy side? ... heh, I have a faint hope that it will be "Kappa has decided to join your party!" Like with Gau. |

He's on Spoony's side because a) Spoony opened the chest and b) he's using some sort of Sovereign-powered charm magic. the second one might fade eventually, but I suspect it'll last long enough... |

Guys. Kappa is on Spoony's side because HE'S STANDING IN THE ENEMIES SPOT. |

"Speaking of being terrible at games, Red fumbling with the blocks in Magnet Man's level has to be seen to be believed. If the definition of insanity has to do with expecting different results upon trying the same thing, then he must be one of the most insane people I've ever known." - Brickroad The Guardian Legend - By Red Silvers (VLP): Our Red Silvers continues to find the weirdest worksafe pictures of the game's protagonist, a plane that transforms into a waifu. Super Metroid - By Red Silvers (VLP): I think it's safe to say at this point, that Samus ain't leaving her suit once Red Silvers finally gets around the finishing this game. Fantastic Dizzy - By Red Silvers (VLP): Fresh off his recent run of Super Metroid, Red Silvers tackles yet another, err... classic? (Egg-scuse me for being confused about Red Silvers' next choice.) | |

No, it is because he is an imp and imps are monsters! Cecil could ask him to exposition some useful 'mechanics.' Who is the Queen, how is she helping the Game Master, what is the deal with The Goggles, could you do me a favor and get those to the Game Master when we're done here, since you are on his side anyways? |
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

Even simpler, ask him for a tutorial on running away from battle, with request for a demonstration. |

Or even better, a demonstration of the obscure "Retreat" ability, which specifically allows the enemy to run away in a boss battle. |

He might ask for a demonstration of status curing first, if nothing else to convince Kappa that he isn't suffering from Confusion. |

One thing has to be remembered, Kappa leaves once the tutorial is over. Perhaps this characteristic will counter the sovereign's power of charm. |
