So we're going to learn exactly what Mother Brain did that ticked off Captain N so much.

Something tells me King Hippo is going to be very VERY disappointed in the new gamemaster.

Thank goodness he has King Hippo to shed some light to Alex and to us about what happened. My guess is that she killed Princess Lana. Err... wait. No, she was around in Max's flashback, after Captain N was said to not fight anymore, which would indicate a change.

She hurt someone though...

Sam: Norm you look down, what's wrong?
Norm: New boss chewed me out. Said I "Lack enthusiasm".
Cliff: Well, is that true?
Norm: I, uh I dunno. Maybe. Who cares?

Good lord, I'd completely forgotten about Mother Brain. It's so nice to see these plot elements being dealt with; using King Hippo for this exposition is just an awfully nice touch.

yeah, gonna be great to find out what happened... just too bad we gotta deal with King Hippo's limited intelligence to relay the info. But that sha;; be what makes it funny! Or uber-depressing.

Also, yeah, the fat freak is gonna be waaaay disappointed in the new Game Master.

Actually, I get the feeling that now that Hippo's away from Mother Brain, we're gonna find out that he has a Ph.D in Quantum Physics and didn't show it because he didn't want Mother Brain to mind fuck him.

Except he's been in the comic earlier, and hadsn't shown many traits beyond "drunken buffoon who used to be married to Seraphina".

Bum bum BUUUUM!

I guess Mother Brain kills Lana. Or something. Maybe it was that dog Captain N had.

And we might finally be getting some answers about what caused the Great Change.

This does confirm one thing.

Mother Brain is NOT the Sovereign.

Or if she is, Hippo doesn't know it.

This reminds me of something I had completed forgotten about.

King Hippo has a kid out there somewhere.

Also, according to one episode of Captain N, Eggplant Wizard has a family out there somewhere, unless he was just holding up a picture and lying about it.

We know that three people are "lost" in the fight with the fight that might be detailed next: Mother Brain "hurts" (probably kills) someone important to Kevin, then Kevin kills Mother Brain (or at least attempts to, as there's a Mother Brain in Super Metroid), and then Kevin just shuts down (and probably leaves). I'm curious to see who the first casualty was.

We know Mega Girl is dead, and that she died because Mega Man didn't believe Wily until it was too late. It doesn't seem connected to this, but it could be. I don't remember which (if any) of the other three N Team regulars are mentioned in relation to the Sovereign. So, yeah, I'm watching eagerly.

Simon(e) and Kid Icarus are both accounted for, and we already know about Mega Man and presumably Lana. And the rest of MB's gang.

That just leaves Duke and Game Boy.

The question is, which did MB kill... and how did the other one die afterwards... (I'm presuming that Kevin lived and stayed a while afterwards to sire Hope.)

Also, I also do not think that MB is the sovereign... but I do think that that tragic event was what allowed the sovereign to exist at all.
It's a flimsy pretext, but I'm sure that the N-Team have gotten away with worse.

She could have killed Lyle. People who exist for only 2 episodes are particularly prone to getting killed off.
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

Only if the the battle where Mother Brain was killed and The Great Change are the same thing. Lyle told Max Force why the N-Forcers exist.
It's a flimsy pretext, but I'm sure that the N-Team have gotten away with worse.
