Awww... I was totally getting a kick out of the "vintage dialog". Damn you, disembodied force that is "the editors"! |

I should mention the editors that are threatening to strangle me are the ones that are in my head. The normal editors are just going to want their pay doubled if I do this for a while. Also, I am sorely tempted to crank out a script for a Captain N episode one of these days. My only fear is that it would end up coming out more coherent than it has any right to. |

Double of nothing is still nothing, so that's no problem. |

I had two sort of opposite emotional responses here. 1: Sympathy for JD having to go into the mindset necessary to write even remotely accurate dialogue for Captain N. As in, the show. 2: The horrified realisation that this is all an act of attempted revenge at us for locking him in the closet to make him crank out comics. Think about it. The comic that focused on King Hippo's bitch tits? The comic where the main gag was Alex imagining something so horrible I stopped in the middle of typing this sentence to punch myself in the head to releive the pain? This dialogue? Revenge is the only explanation! |

My money is on Omega energy. She kidnaps Kevin, tries to force him to produce Omega energy by threatening his friends... and then something goes wrong. One of his friends is "hurt" and Kevin gives her some Omega energy, courtesy of the Zapper. |

This is most likely right...but I still can't help but wonder how the picture would have shown that to her. We do know that it was a picture of a young something/someone, and that she was expecting something like that to be there. But what...? Perhaps it's something along the same lines as Carl Sagan's Flatland...where she realized that she was only seeing a shadow of Captain N in the picture, but could see him fully in Videoland. I'm not sure that any of them other than Wily could truly figure something like that out though. My guess: the photo is of Kevin playing a game, and it shows him playing a game she knows. This affirms what she already knows: that the reason he keeps winning is because he already knows everything about those game worlds. Wily makes a device to clone Kevin/use his mirror world image...and use that game master to do her bidding. Omega energy causes this to go horribly wrong. Someone (Lana or Duke) gets hurt, and Kevin takes it out on MB. She's dead, but as for her current state...well, that's my current prediction on the SoS. /tinfoilhat EDIT: for clarification |

Mother Brain already knows he's from the real world. One plot she pulled was faking her own death/defeat and "ending" the threat to Videoland, the "coincidentally" opening a rare portal back to the real world so Kevin could go home since he was no longer needed. Another one was having Dr. Wily drain some of Kevin's memories and using them to create a NEW GameMaster based on the memories of an old childhood bully that used to pick on Kevin. |

Why would the space pirates have a picture of kevin from the real world? |

I remember both of those episodes, but I'm not so sure that they apply here. There's no question that MB knows that he's from another world, but is it ever specifically stated that it's the "real world" or that she knows why he's actually the Gamemaster (what the term means) or anything like that? It's one thing to know that there are people from other worlds, but quite another to find out that someone has that much control over your world. As for the one with Mike Vincent (Kevin's Bully), that was an android replica made from Kevin's memories, but he was by no means an actual clone. My thought above was that she instead asked Wily to make a full-on clone (or perhaps her own Ultimate Warp Zone) of the Gamemaster, and try to include his game world knowledge in with it.
It's not that the pirates themselves had the picture, but that Mother Brain still had some inner workings on that planet. One of her researchers/spies discovered it and left it as a note for her. This is also why it had MB017-PT on it and she told Hippo and Eggy not to read it. If it were just a picture, why would she ask them not to read it (as opposed to not look at it)? EDIT: To add in Cyrus' quote. |
