Way to accurately portray a typical Captain N episode, Jaydee. |

Now that the page is up, I feel the disclaimer about the date is probably out of place. |

You're not complaining? I am. Put some pants back on - both of you! By the way, Algasir, where do you get all those awesome pictures of Rydia? |

![]() ... Seriously, though. I don't scrounge Japanese artist sites for Rydia images like I used to. Most of the time I find them on Danbooru or Pixiv (pretty much all the noteworthy ones are there anyway). As for my current avatar... I got it off the Final Fantasy Wikia. |

It didn't. I corrected it, but apparently forgot to add (or save) the correct panel. Edit: No, I saved the corrected version. I just forgot to put it in like an idiot. |

Guys, guys... enough bickering about all this claptrap. There is something important to be discussed! Our good captain has had an epiphany in panel 5. I am thinking it is something along the lines that he's not the only person who has affected videoland, and that maybe it is a real place and not just a product of his own mind. |

Interesting! This episode precedes Simone booting Kevin into Mirror World and Lana expelling Simone from Videoland. This episode also somewhat legitimizes what the N Forcers said about Simone being Simon's brother. Logically then, Princess Lana leaves this ordeal alive, as does Simone. Further, Kevin will not lose his naivete here despite MB and him apparently going too far: http://www.captainsnes.com/2003/04/04/311-...elmont-brother/ |

I think the good captain's epiphany was more along the line of "I better not finish that sentence..." |

So... is Game Boy merely being held in reserve or was he just forgotten about? (Because my math requires both Duke and Game Boy to be around as everyone else survives... unless that picture leads to the introduction to a character that'll be produced only to die... a relative of Kevin's perhaps? I'm still trying to look for references to Kid Icarus still being alive...) Or perhaps I'm looking at this wrong again... Originally, Green Mega Man was considered an embodiment of Alpha energy. Yet now, he's not, according to the "Where are they now" list. From Rock's near-death flashback, we see that Megaman was BLUE during the "secret" war. Perhaps the "first" victim was Megaman but he was able to be recovered, though not quite the same. This also explains why Protoman is on the N-Forcers instead of Mega Man. The latter was still recovering. |
| It's a flimsy pretext, but I'm sure that the N-Team have gotten away with worse. | |

I think what Alex realized is that Cynicism was wrong, or at least he sees that he hasn't always affected Videoland as Cynicism says. He cannot fathom such dialogue, despite Videoland following rules that he presupposes. At this point, Videoland, perhaps, followed the rules Kevin assumed about Videoland. So far we know the following about the Captain N timeline... This ordeal happened first. Captain N will kill Mother Brain. Captain N will be kicked into Mirror World. He will return at the behest of King Charles. Simone will be exiled. Lana will become queen. Megagirl will die. Megaman will try to save a NEW princess from the Sovereign during the Secret War. Meanwhile, or around this time (since the N Forcers mention the Sovereign, which they said Max Force would not have known, which make sense since Megaman said the battle with the Sovereign was a secret war), the Max Force flashback occurred, and Kevin would not fight, and the Princess was only 7. Finally, Captain N appears to Cecil in a mirror. |

Much like the Power Glove. Also, my money is on him realizing that he could imagine such dialogue, and that there might be relevant differences here between "want" and "expect", or possibly "childhood imagination" vs. "adult imagination". |

On that topic, I'm thinking that Alex may be coming to grips with the possibility that his Childhood Hero wasn't as "cool" as he thought in that sequence... ...or else is in denial on that point. I mean, how can someone as "cool" as Captain N have such lame dialog? Anyway, I'm still holding out that, since Captain N appeared to Cecil in a mirror, that it was Mirror!Kevin that returned to marry Lana and not fight, etc. |

My Where are they now thread is of questionable canonicity. Don't rely on it too closely. I suppose I should list Retro-Megaman like I list the Mistress of Flame. I'll hereto that under consideration. |
