Was expecting more of an Omega Energy explanation, but instead seven badasses appeared. Works for me.

And yeah, I'd say you did a pretty good job of balancing the two, JayDee. ^_^ Definitely got a smile from me.

Seven! Seven would-be heroes!

Ah ah ah!

Hm. I'm seeing the core of the N-Forcers here. Not saying these people are the N-Forcers, but it looks like a start.

Just checked. This is pretty much the complete N-Forcers. We know Megagirl is the first to fall today, so I guess Ryu Hayabusa winds up taking her place later. Though I guess we don't know if these are just seven heroes joining forces to help save the day, or if the N-Forcers are an official group by this point.

I love Snake's line "Try counting stars!". Just so, so eloquent! And so utterly badass.

And we don't necessarily know that THIS is when Mega Girl falls, but its a pretty good indicator.

Did anyone catch that Lana is responsible for Mother Brain's wicked heart?

So the Count counts Duke as a person.
"Speaking of being terrible at games, Red fumbling with the blocks in Magnet Man's level has to be seen to be believed. If the definition of insanity has to do with expecting different results upon trying the same thing, then he must be one of the most insane people I've ever known." - Brickroad

The Guardian Legend - By Red Silvers (VLP): Our Red Silvers continues to find the weirdest worksafe pictures of the game's protagonist, a plane that transforms into a waifu.

Super Metroid - By Red Silvers (VLP): I think it's safe to say at this point, that Samus ain't leaving her suit once Red Silvers finally gets around the finishing this game.

Fantastic Dizzy - By Red Silvers (VLP): Fresh off his recent run of Super Metroid, Red Silvers tackles yet another, err... classic? (Egg-scuse me for being confused about Red Silvers' next choice.)

Agreed. ^_^ Possibly my favorite thing about this particular comic.

Ack, you're right. I'd misremembered what we know of Mega Girl's death. Mega Man doesn't mention her (though he doesn't rule her out) when talking about Mother Brain's final battle (and King Hippo hasn't even said this is her final battle, regardless). And the way Wily talked about her death... It gives me the impression of a longer time-frame.

I thought it was an interesting remark, too. I'm really not sure what to make of it, but it probably has something to do with that MBO17-PT picture. It showed a young someone/something. Possibly Lana.

With the way Wily talked about her, odds are what happened to her didn't happen in this fight.

After all, I get the impression that it was something Wily knew about and even warned Megaman about (largely to mess with him because he knew he wouldn't be believed.)

Has anyone theorized yet that Lana comes from the Realworld? How could she be the cause of MB's black heart unless somehow had something to do with the creation of Metroid?

Also, how does Mother Brain know about Omega Energy, and why is she calling it that?

I think its notable that she herself seems to have no idea what it actually is or what it will do in specific, only a general idea of how it'll aid her plans. Was she programmed with only the very basics of it by the Space Pirates, in which case, is it all that they knew? Is what she knows hidden on that photograph via microdot or something?

At first, I kinda thought Mother Brain didn't know what Omega Energy was or how it actually operated. That's still a distinct possibility and would be completely appropriate for a Captain N plot. But there's a chance that she knows more than she's saying, and just really doesn't want to blurt out the truth in front of everyone. Though that might be giving her too much credit.

Then again, according to Alex, nobody in Videoland really understands what Omega Energy is.

I think whoever MB talked to when she didn't think Wiley was listening was the one who told her about Omega Energy. Possibly the Sovereign, who isn't entirely powerful enough yet to fight, is instructing MB at this very moment.

Er... Ryu's a ninja. If Snake choose to sneak up on the villains at the end of this comic, that just means that Ryu is biding his time to do something when the others are all fighting. Either disable MB or free the rest of the main N-Team for the climactic showdown.

Though, personally, I am amazed at Simon's presence. I was under the impression that he didn't show up until after Simone's banishment His appearance here lends credence to the theory that they were operating as a full team at the time of these events. (With or without official sanction.) Granted, in the 2 days that passed, Duke could have summoned each individually, but, again, why would Duke have known to recruit Simone's older brother with Simone still active?

Incidentally, I'm thinking that it's Protoman that's the Seventh Ranger here, replacing Megagirl as a full member after her future death. It's just that the situation this time was so vital that he felt that he had to come. (Further side note: When creating Megagirl's grave, Megaman is gray, i.e. neither blue nor green. Hm... could that be Omega-Mega's color? Or did he just use the dust crusher...)

When was this again? I didn't see any side conversations that Wily wasn't supposed to be privy to.
It's a flimsy pretext, but I'm sure that the N-Team have gotten away with worse.

Wiley asked who MB was talking to last night, and she said Nevermind. Perhaps I misunderstood.
