"Nobody" who was killed by Omega energy has ever came back? I wonder who else was killed? |

Mother Brain, obviously, but I do wonder if there was anyone else. Also, Hippo's last line implies that before Duke no one had ever died. At least not permanently. This strikes me as an extremely important point for some reason. |

As far as I remember, Daos, Gades, and Mother Brain Wily specifically stated those killed via Omega Energy are perma-killed And what a tease, I guess we're not going to find out what happened afterwards, since King Hippo ran away. |

Oh yeah, I forgot about Daos and Gades. Though I don't think King Hippo would know about them, would he? Which means there were probably others that he witnessed, or at least heard about. |

In a flashback, it was mentioned off-hand that Simone and The Bionic Commando both died fighting the Sovereign. They're probably off'ed by Omega Energy as well, which would also explain why theres no 16-bit Bionic Commando. Edit: Here it is: Ch475 We know that three people died in this battle in this order: 1) Duke (now we know) 2) Mother Brain 3) ???? Edit2: Here it is: Ch691 |

Darn it JayDee, you just had to tease us by not showing the exact moment, didn't you. Anyways, this flashback seems to be over. |

He can kill anyone! But what about a deck of cards? |
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

You know, before Nintendo was a videogame company, it was a playing card company. ...hmmm.... |

as I've mentioned before, it sure is remarkable to be seeing OldSkooled cameos in this comic, but it's especially remarkable to see them still being used in a new comic made in this day and age (given, I guess Newton has made enough appearances in Nexus, and I think even a couple speaking lines, that he may as well be considered an ascended cameo by now). Nice jab at Nintendo's old censorship policies, BTW. |

Given the time the show stopped and King Hippo's near decade drinking, Videoland's standard of time is possibly equivalent to the real world's. If this episode, we'll say, happened in about 1992, then sometime during Hippo's root beer frenzy, the cat came, and the Great Change. Though if the seven year old Princess is the Hope Keene and both worlds are simultaneous, then one might wonder how Hope in what would have been about 1998 could have babysat an Alex who would have been a late teenager by now... |

I rather hesitate to suggest it, but it could be time travel. The Sun Stone and Schroedinger are both in Chrono Trigger and... No, stop paying attention to me. |

Dude, we've seen the exact moment. I distinctly remember a panel with Captain N firing some souped-up Zapper laser right into Mother Brian's frontal lobe. It was years ago, but there it is. |

So Death #3 could still be Game Boy by way of Load-Bearing-Mother-Brain. (Or perhaps Death #3+ (Mega did say "no less than three") And how could Simone have died in battle against the Sovereign? He was banished, before those battles, wasn't he? |
| It's a flimsy pretext, but I'm sure that the N-Team have gotten away with worse. | |

The world of Tetris; I remember a while back we saw a comic with a Tetris block city in ruin. This don't bode well for Mayor Squaresly (obscure Captain N character / ruler of Tetris). |

Third death could also be one of the villains. Kevin might decide to try off the rest while he's at it. |

Why oh why couldn't Eggplant Wizard have been one of those to "go". Then we wouldn't have to deal with his horrid puns. Then again, unless everything is chaotic when they meet, we ALL know whats gonna happen when Alex finally does meet the vegetable magician. BLAM! Poor, poor Duke. Rest in peace, good doggie. |

People killed by Omega energy are permadead, right? And we now assume that THIS is why certain characters never made it past NES, that they were killed by Omega energy just before the Great Change? Kid Icarus/Pit. |
