So, aliens come to earth and offer you a portal to any game (or other fictional world) world you wish, but only one, and there is no return. what game world would you pick? Why? What would you do there?

GOGOGO!

Probably the world from Joe Benitez's Lady Mechanika. I'm a sucker for steampunk stuff, and I love the way the world looks and part human part-machine people. Plus, the architecture and the fashion is downright badass!

So I'm going to have to be cliche and say it's between Star Trek and Middle Earth (the only game I ever played with a 'world' was Myst, and that seems kinda lonely).

Star Trek because SPACE. I love space. If I wasn't in comics I'd have been an astrophysicist. Getting to actually go visit stars and nebulae and other planets in something that doesn't blow up on a semi regular basis is like a dream. And it's one of the few sci fis that isn't all 'OH NO WAR AND STUFF'. As much as I like Firefly would I want to live there? Hell no! The Reavers scare the shit outta me.

And Middle Earth because I spent most of middle school wishing I was an elf and I haven't matured at all since then. It's the ultimate fantasy world. Where else would a lonely nerdy kid dream about for three years?

So you have never played mario, pokemon, zelda, metroid, halo, psychonauts, deus ex, Metal Gear Solid, Warcraft, dungeon keeper, chrono trigger, street fighter, Golden Sun, Megaman, castlevania, God of War or really any game at all?

In Pokémon, they have socialized medicine and adorable monsters that become friends and partners forever. Also all the forms of villainy are in the forms of incompetents who can't fight off children. I think that world is pretty awesome.

Nope. My family didn't own a gaming system until I was 15. My sisters had gameboys but the only game I ever played was tetris. I don't like videogames. I never saw the appeal.

Hmm, this is a tough one indeed. I think I would like best to live in Terry Pratchett's Discworld. It may not be the best of all possible worlds, but characters who are Genre Savvy tend to be able to get by all right, and I'd like to fancy myself a Genre Savvy type of lady. Otherwise what the hell do I spend all this time reading for.

Second choice: the Whoniverse. Chances of my imminent death increase here, but it be worth the risk if I could score that coveted Spunky Female Companion position.

Awwwgh who am I kidding I totally want to live in the Misfits universe. Even though I would probably die as soon as my character was introduced because let's face it: the body count on that show is ridiculously high. ...and my power would probably be something lame, like Making Poptarts Appear or Being Able To Talk With My Reflection. But hey, at least it's better than Making Other People Bald.
