So it'd be cool to hear about your experiences in SVA good or bad. Leave out names if you're going to bad mouth. I don't think SVA has enough feedback and stories from students. So post yours if you have something you want to share and maybe someday come back and read it again. One thing i really love about Cartooning majors in particular. Is that most will waltz right up to you and either watch you work or just critique without being asked. Which i love, i love critiques mainly because i'm not married to my art and i can change nearly anything no questions asked. Although when it's all inked and done with i am admittedly a little more reluctant to make changes. But i just think it's funny to have someone come up over your shoulder and go "oh hey that's great! oh but look at that it's kinda wonky looking. You should try..." lol. I haven't had enough contact with Fine Arts/Illustration majors to know if they'll just give critique to a random person. But from what i recall they usually don't, unless they're completely straight forward and open, then nevermind. But if any of you think fine arts majors do in fact give critique freely let me know. |

Encyclopedia Dramatica gave us a wonderful mention in their entry on Art Schools. I love what they said about cartooning as a major. makes me feel special! Edited by lori, Feb 10 2011, 09:39 PM.

The ONLY page on ED that is positive about nearly anything is their page on ConceptArt. Except the part about Jason Manley, but frankly he deserves all the crap he gets for his bullshit. Edited by Chris Wagar, Feb 10 2011, 11:48 PM.
