I just wanted to say thank you for setting up this website and to also say hello to all other fellow White Shadow fans. This was indeed a great show on so many levels. I was in elementary school when the show was in it's first run. As a kid who ate, drank and slept sports, this show became a favorite of mine. It has so many great memories of childhood. As an adult, I gained an even greater appreciation for the realism this show portrayed. Hard to believe the show is nearly 30 years old, and yet the subject matter is every bit as relevant today as it was in the 70's. The White Shadow was ahead of its time. Today, I teach High School Physical Education and coach varsity baseball- in large part because of the influence this show had on me. It's also great that the YES network runs The White Shadow periodically on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. for those that aren't aware. I'm real happy to be a part of the board! |
