Looks like there are a lot of tie ins to "The White Shadow." I'm sure Tomas Carter during the planning of the movie dipped into the TWS well and that's great. To me, that's proof that the show even though pushing 30 years still stands up today. I'm actually looking forward to watching it now. Now the question is, does "Swing Kids" have any tie ins to TWS?? From one of the Commentaries from the DVDs, it was stated that Thomas Carter(Hayward) pretty much used White Shadow as a guideline while making Coach Carter. You will be amazed on the scenes or storylines that came from White Shadow.
