Well according to IMDb your friend is wrong. Looks as if in 1981 Ira Augustain was nominated for the award for the Best Young Actor in a Television Series but the award went to "Eight is Enough's" Adam Rich. However in 1980 Joan Pringle did win the Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. IMO if any of the team deserved to win an acting award for his work on the series I would tip my cap to Thomas Carter. Hayward had the most depth of any character thanks to Carter. |
