Friday Night Lights is probably the closest show I've seen come to The White Shadow, and as hard as it is to say - is probably better that Reeves and co. The coach isn't a total "good guy" he covered up a steroid scandal and boosters paying his players, but does the best he can. I hope the show makes it to a second year because the performances and writing are quite good. And the players haven't started singing in the shower or hooking up with their teachers. |
