I was talking with a friend about the White Shadow today and he told me he read that the only one of the guys on the team who won an award for his acting performance was Ira Angustain (Gomez) who won the young artist award for best young actor in a television series. I always thought old Gomez was the weakest link. |

Well according to IMDb your friend is wrong. Looks as if in 1981 Ira Augustain was nominated for the award for the Best Young Actor in a Television Series but the award went to "Eight is Enough's" Adam Rich. However in 1980 Joan Pringle did win the Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. IMO if any of the team deserved to win an acting award for his work on the series I would tip my cap to Thomas Carter. Hayward had the most depth of any character thanks to Carter. |

Yeah TWS I agree with the Hayward nod.... I would have also thought Ken Howard would have won for best actor in a tv drama episode.... maybe "Sudden Death" or "The Death of Me Yet" |
