Last night I couldn't find anything on the tube that I was really into, so I started to look over my DVDs. I chose my of my all-time favorite movies, Rambo: First Blood. So I'm watching and this character, Deputy Ward, looks real familar but I can't quite place him. I wasn't thinking TWS right away, but eventually that's what I thought it had to be. So, a few more lines and close ups and I finally had him pegged. The actor, Chris Mulky, was the Russian defector Eilya (sp?) from "The Russians are Coming". Just thought I'd share.

Chris Mulkey is a very underrated actor. I have seen him in a handful of movies, and I've always thought he did well. I thought his character was extremely believable in "The Russians are Coming."

Along those lines, did anyone ever notice "Uncle Rico" (Jon Gries) from Napoleon Dynamite was "Yuri" on that same Russian National Team?

:o Didn't know that. I had to go back and check that out. You really can't tell it's him. I kinda caught some of his same facial expressions, but if I didn't know it was him ahead of time I was have never picked out Uncle Rico.

Since this episode pre-dates Rico's greatest lament...that 1982 high school football state championship game. Coach probably didn't put him in because he found out he was a freak'n commy!
