The Ebony city of black crystal reaches to the sky in jagged pinnacles. Its construction mimics the angular, and sharp features of its builders, the kyran. Centers of trade and science are located here. The Science Councel of Kyris is also here, as well as the head of military operations against the mutant Shilor. |

The ship landed softly upon the black metallic surface of the landing deck, and the hangar doors closed with a heavy sliding sound. The ship's engines powered down with a vibrating thrum and soon all was quiet. For a moment, nothing happened, not the shuffling of someone inside, nor the lowering of a ramp. The tall black Kyran mechanics, military operatives, and others who were within the hangar suddenly felt a strange chill of dread from the foreign space craft. With whispered murmurings, they all backed away....all of them, except one... Solakyer, a note worthy Kyran scientist, stood almost fearless before the ship, who's origin was clearly Var. His arms were folded over his chest and he waited patiently for the ramp to lower, for the beast to emerge. Soon his waiting payed off. A hiss of decompression and slowly the side of the ship parted and a rather heavy looking ramp lowered from the ship's hull, making contact on the floor with a soft clank. What the Kyran standing about saw next was not new, but still, just as shacking as the first time they'd lay their orange eyes on one of thees creatures. Even Solakyer took a small step back. The Var was tall, about 8ft to be exact. The creature's build was impressive and muscular, but toned for speed and agility. Chalky white skin was stretched thickly over his muscles and slightly wrinkled face. He took one step forward, slightly hunched. His white hair dangled in straight strands well past his shoulders, parted down the center of his slightly enlarged forehead. From his back protruded small gray bony ridges and his fingers were tipped with sharp claw like nails....a small excuse for what truly lay hidden within his hands. He took another step forward, coming down the ramp, step after step. For such a large creature, he made hardly no sound when walking. Colorless orbs peered, almost through the Kyran scientist that stood before him, though those eyes were hidden behind dark shades, protecting them from the harsh light of Kyris. Finally, the creature made it to the bottom of polished black floor, its gleam slightly reflecting the Var's menacing appearance. He stopped before Solakyer with a passive expression, and looked down at the obsidian creature. The fact that the Kyran had backed away, even an inch seamed to satisfy the Var, and he spoke, in a deep, guttural voice. Where is she? I've come to retrieve her. Solakyer looked up into the strange, and even slightly frightening. His request...what was this about? Why did he want her back? He'd spoken of the importance of his project, and how important it could be for both the Var and the Kyran. In all honesty, Solakyer didn't want to give her up. She was a prime specimen after all. But he smiled in a cordial manner and nodded slowly. Come... Let us discuss this further... I'm sure you've had a long, and trying journey. He motioned for the tall, rather intimidating creature to follow him, as if he were any other visitor. He knew he couldn't stall for long, but at least he could try and keep conversation going. That was the best way to deal with this one. So tell me, Why do you wish for her return?... Surely she is of no more use to you..... still, she can be very useful to us, Project Cy'Tor was a failure, and you of all people, know this. The Var said with an indignant shake of his head as he walked along side the Kyran. They entered the large building and the Var looked down at his Kyran host, with a look that told him what he wanted. He wanted to see her, and he hoped Solakyer would comply. He hoped he would comply.... so that he'd no have to get violent. It turned out the Kyran was smarter than he looked. They entered a long hall way, and finally stopped at a room with one window viewing it. A door was at the back, away from the hall, and the two could look into the room to view a tank filled with a bluish cryogenic liquid. Within the substance was, none other than a young, Var woman. For a moment the tall male Var just stopped and stared. His fists and muscles tightened and flexed. Looking over at the Kyran he narrowed his eyes in a predatory manner as he spoke. How long has she been sedated? 19 years, seven months, and 24 days. Solakyer said with a slightly narrowed expression. He didn't like the way the question was asked. Something told him that the Var was slightly upset. He pressed his fingers together and prepared to wait on the Var's reaction. His expression became pensive and his own muscles tightened, almost as if he was going to run if the situation called for it. Wake her. The Var said in a demanding tone. His eyes peered at the form of the other of his race, almost as if he was longing for her. He knew that the Kyran beside him would not willingly oblige him, but he could care less. He would eventually comply. It was just as matter of how much blood the Kyran wanted left in his body. He caught the wide eyed expression from the scientist and sighed slightly, awaiting some foolish protest from the smaller being, and it came. Wake her? After so long in sedation? You Never answered my question. Why do you require her back? Further more, What right do you have to ask for her? It was you who allowed us to use her in the first place, at a rather large price, I might add. Solakyer retorted, looking back up at the Var with a narrowed expression on his dark face. He didn't want to loose the woman. In fact, He had hoped of trying this experiment again, this time with different methods. With out the Var woman, it would be almost impossible. Thus, he'd try his best to negotiate the permission to keep her. But what happened next, Solakyer was not expecting. An Animalistic growl came from the Var's maw as he shot forth his hand, massive 3 ft. claws extending fully. He simply pressed the large, bone white, sharp structures, against the impudent scientist's chest, pinning him to the wall. He applied just enough pressure to let him know his life was dreadfully on the line. The Var looked down, slightly stooping in order to be on eye level with Kyran. What right do you have, to deny a Father his daughter? With a bit more pressure, Enough to cut small slits into in the man's garment, he pulled back. The look on the now stunned and ....more aware scientist's face has once more satisfied the beast. Now, Wake her. Alright, Solokyer begrudgingly replied. He looked down at his torn clothing and growled under his breath. Motioning for the creature to follow him, he made his way deeper into the facility. He stopped two other techs, and spoke to them quickly, and then went off to do what he had asked, with slightly startled expressions on their faces. The two, Kyran and Var made it to another windowed room. He stood before the window wordlessly, and silence fell on the two. Solokyer. The Var's voice was commanding once more, with a slightly irritated undertone. His eyes were narrowed, even though they were behind his shaded glasses. He tilted his head ever so slightly, as if curious. Then he added in an almost mocking tone.. a pleasantly, sickeningly smooth voice. Where is he? Solokyer growled under his breath as he looked away from the creature. He closed his burning orange eyes and fell silent for a very long time. Then, his hands clinched themselves into tight angered fists. The Var was mocking him, and he disliked that, quite a lot. He is none of you're concern. He was our creation, not yous. He spat bitterly and muttered something or other in his language. His anger made the beautiful, lilted tongue sound sharp and more harsh than it should. He didn't care. Just be glad I'm releasing her back to you. Just be glad I don't paint thees walls with you're blood Kyran. The Var retorted in a voice as smooth and calm as you please. He didn't seem angry, but that was what made the creature do deadly. No one knew when he'd strike next. He sighed slightly and looked down at the Kyran with an amused, toothy smile, then turned his eyes back to the window where motion began to take place. The two Kyran techs wheeled an unconscious form of the Var woman into the room. A few moments later they placed her on the table within the room and cuffed her hands to it, at her sides, keeping her well restrained. Then, one of them prepared a needle, and the other began to shut down the life support systems. Take every precaution... The Var said as he watched the rather delicate procedure. Once the woman was secure, and the life support systems were powering down, one of the techs injected a needle into the Var woman's arm, and the other made ready a set of manacles, just in case. Get them out of there... He said, rather sharply as he looked over at Solokyer with a serious expression. The Kyran looked into the room almost skeptically, and only gave the two techs a nod before turning back to the Var and speaking boldly. No no, I assure you, they will be quite fin- Crack! Suddenly a peace of metal flew across the room, and the Var woman's hand shot into view of the two observing through the window. Four claws shot from between her fingers as her hand swung outwards, colliding with the chest of the first tech and sending him flying back against the opposite wall. The life support machine lurched toward him and rolled quickly across the room, colliding with him and the wall before falling over with a series of sparks and dismantled electronics. She brought her hand over her chest again and dragged her claws against the metal cuff holding her left arm at bay. It too was cloven in half and the Var woman sat up, slowly, hunching forward, and closing her eyes, as if trying to regain a sense of balance. A primal growl rippled through her chest as her dark eyes slowly opened again and she gave the two men in the room almost crazed looks. I warned you....She has not fed in over 19 years. Solokyer lurched forward, as if to some how get into the room before the unthinkable happened to two of his scientists. He was stopped by the creature's large hand on his shoulder. What are you saying? The Kyran asked, suddenly in a shaky voice as he looked back through the window. What he saw made his own stomach churn. She must feed... The Var said, and then, suddenly gripped the poor Kyran by the back of the head. His next words were cruel, icy, and hissed. This is what you have coupled your race with....This, is what you have allowed to escape your planet.... This, is why I am taking her back, To save the galaxy from your notion of playing genetic god. He held the struggling man against the window, so that he'd have no choice but to see what his work had done, and what his work would in fact be doing, perhaps at this very moment...somewhere, out there, on some poor defenseless planet. He wanted this to scar Solokyer....He wanted this to haunt him, and haunt him it would. The Second tech moved quickly, with the agility of his race, darting in like someone trying to wrestle with a bear. He of course hoped to grab the beast before she could regain proper stability. She remained still, tracking his movements with her slitted, hungering eyes. Seconds before he made it to her position she leaped up onto the table and crouched there, peering at him with slitted eyes. One more step, And she pounced, claws outstretched, ready to rip his body asunder. Something threw off her aim however. The second tech had coiled up his legs and had kicked the rolling rack with the now broken and dangling life support system upon it. It quickly slid across the floor and slammed into the flying Var's body, causing a loud crash as she slammed into the wall and the heavy machinery toppled over onto of her. For a moment, silence descended on the room. The first tech pulled the second to his feet quickly, and they both made their way back to the pile of wires and shattered monitors that now lay atop the woman. The second stooped down to remove the rack, stooping out of view from the onlookers for a moment. A scream, followed by a horrid snapping sound was soon heard as Var captive slowly stood to her feet, facing away from those looking through the window. The first tech quickly took the opportunity, and leaped at the woman, gripping one of her wrists and clapping one of the manacles onto it. He yanked down on the strong, black crystalline chain and dove downward, keeping his eye on her other hand. It did as he'd anticipated. The captive swung low, claws outstretched, attempting to tare into the Kyran's chest. But he was too quick. The Kyran tech planted his feet, reached up his other hand and clapped the second manacle onto her other wrist, then pushed himself away from her, gripping the chain in the middle and pulling it taunt, to discourage any more movements of the woman's hands. He took this brief moment to catch his breath, and steel a glance at his fallen, and now dead comrade. The other's neck was broken, head almost turned completely backwards on his shoulders. Blood pored from his mouth and parts of his neck as well. The technician couldn't look at it anymore. He turned his now angered and determined gaze back to the hungering eyes of the Var and grit his teeth, yanking on the chain again as if to bring her toward the back door. She complied. Solokyer winced as he heard the sound of one of the techs dieing. He took a breath and smiled thinly as he saw the other take control of the situation. Good....We only lost one... He said under his breath and glanced back at the Var holding him. Will you release me now? He said in a rather bitter voice as he struggled once more. "It's not over yet." The other said in a sickly sweet voice as he clinched his hand just a bit tighter about the back of the Kyran's head. The two within the small room had just made it to the door. The Kyran technician had just reached out his hand to open the door when suddenly, the Var captive lunged forward, clasping her fists together and pressing them, along with the Kyran's own hand, into his side, slamming the man against the thick metallic door and stunning him. She turned him around quickly, taking her bound wrists and slipping them over the Kyran's head. She then stood to her full height, pulling the short chain tightly against the man's throat as she held him facing the window. Her breath was heavy. She was weak. She needed to feed, and this man, now in her grasp would be her first meal in over two decades. She took the palms of her hands and pressed them to either side of her once captor, now victim's face, giving enough pressure to dissuade him from moving. She looked down at him, hunching over slightly, eyes mad with lack of energy and manic with the notion of receiving it again. The Kyran looked through the window at his superior, his eyes wide with fright and pleading... but there was nothing anyone could do. Once again Solokyer jerked, trying to get away from the monstrous grip he was held under. His eyes locked with the other's and he tightened his muscles, anger written across his features. Release me at once! There's no reason I should allow her to kill two of my men. A slight cry of pain slipped through the man's mouth as he felt the Var's cold grip tighten even more. He quavered slightly as he heard the other's mocking tone. So you do have compassion...for one like yourself... You think we are below you? A slight growl issued from the Var's throat as he shook his head. The pitiful retorts, and stammering denial did little to lift mercy within the Var's heart. He leaned in closer to speak more softly to Solakyer. I'm not surprised. You even count those brought into being, below you. Watch....see how above us you really are. He hissed, in a far too calm voice. The woman's claws extended slowly, almost timidly, as they pierced the Kyran technician's skin. The man whimpered slightly as the claws sank deeper and deeper into his body until finally a cracking sound was heard. The whimpers became a quavering scream as the man's skull was breached in eight different locations. A guttural sound of pleasure rippled forth from the woman's hunched figure as she felt the soft brain matter beneath her claws, and began siphoning the telepathic energy of her victim. She continued to press her hands closer and closer together until the man's face contorted in both pain and pressure. Blood began to poor from his mouth and nose, soon to be dripping from his eye sockets. Once nothing was left that could be beneficial to her, she pulled pulled the body closer and then opened her mouth. Without hesitation she leaned forward and clapped her jaws down upon the man's left shoulder. The Kyran threw back his head and howled in an inhuman manner. His bloody, orange eyes slowly lost their light, and the screams became shallow moans of agony. Finally they stopped all together as she thrust her two fists through the man's chest, shattering ribs and all. She made for the Kyran's heart, clasping it in her two bound hands and ripping it free of its body. She partook of the muscle with a ferociousness that was probably startling to the two watching her. The feeling of energy returning to her, overwhelmed her senses so deeply that she was unaware of anyone else observing. Though bound, her hands worked her claws with expert precision along the bones of the first Kyran. She meticulously pealed the flesh and muscle from the two bodies and she feasted on them, seaming not to mind the blood and other bodily fluids that sloshed around on the floor. She at present was covered in dark crimson fluid. The ends of her long white hair was drenched in flood, but finally, Finally she was complete. Even most of the bones were broken, being sucked dry of marrow. And she still was unsatisfied. Even still, awareness seemed to slowly come back to her. A shine came to her eye and she turned to look at the window she was being observed through. Her eyes locked with those of Solokyer, and an intense hatred was behind them, she took a step toward the window, as if she might crash through it and fly upon the Kyran. But then her eyes found those of the other Var, and she froze, suddenly becoming dormant, dropping her bound hands before her, and taking a step back. Her expression became meek, shocked, and she whispered a word that no one could hear. Solokyer flinched, almost in fear as if the woman would indeed slay him, like she had the other two. He struggled again, and then, felt the grip of the other leave the back of his head. He staggered backward and regained his balance as best he could. Reaching up, he put a hand to the back of his neck and rubbed it with a slight tightening of his expression. You really are the monster everyone secretly thinks you are. He spat at the other and shook his head, waving his hand and jerking his head toward the window. Take her and go.... Leave my planet. I want nothing more of this... Good...very good. I knew you'd come to see things my way. Zorbekku said with a grim, but truly wicked smile on his face. He made his way to the woman, entering through the back door, which was, of course the only one which led into the room. Taking her by the shoulders gently, he led her out of the room and back down the hall. He spoke quietly to her, if anything, to keep her from leaping upon every moving thing she saw. Silently, the rather meek form of Solokyer followed them, until they were back on the hangar. His expression was impatient. He wanted them to leave, now. He looked at Zorbekku for a moment with an angered expression as he spoke in a venomous manner. To answer you're last question... If He isn't dead yet.... I assure you.. He will be soon. With that, he watched the two board their ship and the ramp close. He even stood there as the large vessel lifted off the ground and left the hangar, and didn't move even as the dark speck in the sky vanished. Clinching his fists he turned and grabbed the shoulder of the nearest Kyran attendant, and left the hangar. Come with me... We have an assassin to find. |

Finally, they had reached their destination. The young Calvadorian skillfully steered the rather small spacecraft through the chromatic outer atmosphere of Kyris toward the black capital - Turuar. She'd been taught to fly at a very young age and had inherited the ship from her not-so-well-known teacher after he'd passed. It hovered, then landed gracefully on the black, metallic surface of the platform as the engine slowed to a hum before silencing completely. "Stay here, for now, Sanah." The voice was not audible, but the message could be heard clearly. The child-like Inamii's lovely blue wings fluttered as she nodded and ran to the barracks. She sat on a cot, legs bent and pulled to her chest, one arm wrapped around them and one resting on her knees. She propped her chin on her arm causing a strand of significantly lighter blue hair to fall over her golden eyes... which remained wide, untrusting and circumspect. And so she had arrived. Honestly Solakuer couldn't be more eager for an offworlder to visit his planet of Kyris. There were others of course, crowded about him, speaking of the foolishness of sending one of another race to kill something like the result of the Cy'tor project. One... in particular approached him with a grim expression on his face. What is the meaning of trusting in another race's skill against the monster you've created? Did you learn nothing from Zorbekku? Solakyer shook his head, looking at the outspoken member of his group with a condescending air about him. Clinching his teeth he spoke. You Speak as if I never saw the creature work.... You speak to me like I am a child. I am the one who headed up this project... do you think me ignorant of its prospects? Apparently .... Because it failed. How much do you really know Solakyer? The other said with a biting glare in his superior's direction. Enough to know that he won't be expecting us to send another race after him... He lifted a black metallic eyebrow and smirked at the questioning Kyran who dare speak against him. catching on yet? .... He received silence in response and that was exactly what Solakyer wanted. Nodding he beckoned for another to follow him, and they made their way to the hangar, approaching the newly arrived ship, and expecting something a lot less monstrous than the last time. Who did you send for? The other Kyran asked curiously. Something he would never expect... Came the reply... and so, they waited for the Assassin to disembark. |

The hydraulics of the exiting ramp hissed as it slowly came to rest on the outer surface called the landing dock. Violet irises peered through hair the color of freshly layered snow that fell neatly just past the shoulders, framing a pale, heart-shaped face. She noticed Solakyer first as she had had contact with him a couple instances before. A full-length sword hung from her waist along with a shorter one... primarily used for the defensive. However, one would guess there were other weapons present on her being if they knew her occupation. Smirking, she descended the ramp and approached the Kyran scientist. She nodded a greeting and looked him in the eyes. "Hello, Solakyer." She spoke to him through the mind as her race had been rendered "speechless" by the strong radiation bombarding her home world, Calvador. |

Tal ir alier? The Kyran standing next to Solokyer said in a scoffing, bewildered manner as he stared at the young Calvadorian female leaving the ship. He shook his head and took a step back, fixating his orange eyes on the newcomer with a condescending glare. Solokyer held up a hand toward the other Kyran and looked at Meirin with an assuring smile, hoping that the other beside him hadn't offended her. He spoke back to her audibly, nodding to show that he did indeed understand her telepathy. Don't mind him Miss Reinia. Thank you for coming so quickly.... There's a matter of grate importance. He waved his hand dismissal toward the other Kyran, giving him a stern glance. I personally have grate confidence in your skill. Sadly... I need you to depose of ... one of our own. He turned from the hangar, motioning for the Calvadorian to follow him as he spoke, hoping she'd not be angry at the other for his comment, if she even understood it. Tal ir alier? Rin chuckled as if amused, though her eyes said something else entirely. Language was something very important in her trade if she wanted to blend so every word spoken was clear in both connotation and implication. Thoughts could also be heard had she wanted to hear them, but she deterred. Violet orbs stared at the Kyran standing next to Solokyer, returning a haughty glance as if to insinuate – “Try me and see.” She was not at all impressed with his racial prejudice towards her. Because she was of a different kind and a woman he was better than she? “Anmii isata e bak’na Kyran. Underestimation often deals death.” Her tone was sharp and would seem threatening, though she would not initiate anything. Purposely, her comment was kept from the other. It didn’t bother the young woman for someone to distrust her for she rarely trusted. She turned her gaze toward Solokyer and nodded, listening intently to every word he said. Detail was important in her line of work. Neglecting even the slightest tittle could cost one dearly. "One of your own?" Anmii isata e bak’na Kyran. Spoiler: click to toggle |

The other Kyran scowled at the woman, fingers flexing as if he wanted to do something that would eventually get him in a lot of trouble. He growled under his breath, turned, and walked briskly away, shaking his head, and muttering something under his breath. Solokyer continued to lead her into the building. Finally they made it to a small sitting area, and he motioned for her to take a seat. He wanted her to know what she was going after, even if she didn't need to know why.... he was created. He smiled in an assuring manner, and then spoke again. The being you are going after Meirin is ....very very dangerous. He is not only Kyran. He also possesses the genetic structure of a Var. This gives him both the advantages and disadvantages of both races. He began to pace, giving the girl as much detail as he dare. He's a strong Telepath, that has Var tendencies. A genetic flaw in his structure is that he must almost constantly feed to replenish his energy. That is both a weakness, and a very dangerous factor. He's skilled with a blade, He possesses the Var's claws, and he's able to manipulate energy to a degree.... He paused and looked at Meirin again, sharply. As you can see, he's not an easy target....But I have faith in you... I want him dead. He is a danger to the galaxy....He can not remain living. His obsidian expression became serious. Truthfully he wanted this creature dead. He couldn't hide the flicker of hatred that burned behind his orange eyes, and died away. Edited by Amaurea, May 20 2011, 03:16 AM.

Rin smirked as she watched the second walk in the other direction, then followed Solokyer into a room of rather interesting taste. He motioned for her to take a seat but she chose to sit on the arm of the charcoal gray chair across from him instead of in it... like any normal person would. Her thoughts raced as she listened to the Kyran. ~A Kyran-Var hybrid???~ The white-haired woman listened intently as he gave detail of the threat she would be pursuing. Telepathic... a cannibalistic tendency of sorts... energy manipulation.... It would be obvious she was thinking deeply about the situation she was getting into. Whether it was because she was formulating a strategy, having second thoughts, or something else entirely no one could really guess. Even among her people who had been forced into broadening their mental prowess, she was exceptional. This would have made her defenses difficult to penetrate, and she almost always had a barrier erected. ~Hm... Interesting. Naturally, a hybrid would gather flaws, but the likely-hood of the being obtaining most if not all of the advantages is slim to none. Unless...~ Then that venomous emotion flickered across his features. She looked into his orange eyes as if searching his intentions... and she was; Neither did she care if he noticed. She had a feeling he was leaving something out so why should she reveal her every thought concerning the matter? There were many possibilities for the creatures existence that would also account for the how but she didn't claim her speculations as truth. They were speculations, after all. Untested theories... "I have but one question for you, sir. Whether more will follow depends on the answer. I'm sure you understand why I would be cautious. I've only encountered anything to do with the Var once in my still young life." She paused for a moment. Searching his expression for clues. "Why are you sending someone outside of your race to do this? From what I've heard, the Kyran are usually discreet when something involves their own. Not to mention I'm probably more expensive." Solokyer looked intently at her as she asked her question and began to weave her conclusions. His blazing eyes narrowed slightly and his expression became much more dense. Regardless as to how his existence came into being... Regardless of your age. He took a few steps closer to her and looked more calmly at her, with a softer expression. his voice even dropped in volume. Regardless to our racial differences... He won't expect us to send someone like you. You would have a better chance against him than... any of our own assassins. In all honesty, you're expenses are ...worth it. He hoped she would understand, and he hoped she would not ask more questions. He did not let this show on his expression however. All she would see on his face was confidence. Indeed, he was expecting her to have a better chance against the creature Kuro than anyone else. Though he had created the creature to be almost unstoppable...That didn't mean he couldn't be surprised. And that...was what he was counting on. |

Irises that could be compared to amethyst gems seemed to peer into a pair of cognac orbs. He suspected something, she knew, but didn't give any outward indication of such. His initial response to her question had given that implication; but his countenance turned back to it's original calmness... a facade reemerging in an attempt to cover an external blunder. That was the Kyran race. Observing was something she did constantly, but the assassin decided to let what was seen pass in order to prevent further suspicions. Mei Rin was a master at digging up dirt on people and could do so without leaving a trace. He was unnecessary for such a simple task. Speculations would be scrutinized, and possibly converted to theories and eventually validated facts, though she never told anyone about these excavations. They were very important if she wanted to locate an assigned target and revealing sources could prove detrimental to the connection or Rin herself. The last thing she needed was a client questioning her loyalties or intent, so she decided to speak in a manner that would hopefully put any... doubt to rest. "Know this, sir..." Her words were stern and her features remained composed and serious. She had not risen from her perch, but merely looked up at the man with an unaltered gaze. "How this creature came into existence does not concern me. I merely need to know what I'm pursuing. I don't make a habit of asking irrelevant questions. However, I do suppose your words makes sense. I'll be expecting half up front for necessary expenses. If I fail to complete the task, well...I don't think I'd be in any position to collect any remaining fees anyway." The Calvadorian stood to her feet while taking out a sheet of legal work and handing it to him. "I never make an agreement without it signed in writing. I'm sure you understand. The few ruining sacred oath for the rest? Handshakes aren't worth much these days..." She smirked and tilted her head slightly to the side as she looked at the scientist. Mei Rin meant no disrespect, really, and it was likely he would gather as much. Edited by Ixia, May 21 2011, 05:05 PM.

Choosing to continue the conversation, and to take the much appreciated change in content, Solokyer took the document and gave it a careful look through before slipping a data chip into his hand. He paused for a moment, skimming once more the peace of paper in his hand, and then handed the small electronic memory data chip to the Calvadorian. There you are, half the sum in Union currency. He said with a slightly tense nod. Turning to a table against the wall he took up a pen and elegantly signed his signature at the bottom. He turned back to her and handed the document back. His gaze became once more it's sharper self. This is not an easy task... This being is a very dangerous creature. I don't want him injured, contained, or just subdued. I want him dead, nothing more, and nothing less. He was so dreadfully serious as he spoke thees last words. Looking away from her he added. The rest I will pay you once I have prof of his death...Is that acceptable? He asked, a pensive look besetting his face. it was clear he was making quite a bit of emotion behind his features, but his expression was like a solid barricade. He'd not disclose everything to the woman... only if she needed to know, and no sooner. |

Rin took the chip that was offered her and plugged it into her hand-held computer. The money transferred in a rather short amount of time and she gave a small sideways smile. A few moments later, she retrieved the document now completed with a signature and folded it neatly before placing it in her violet and deep blue waistband. Keeping her focus on the obsidian being, she listened to him carefully. His words seemed rather bitter when he referenced the creature Kuro, she'd noticed. Interesting. "I understand. And thank you. It's a pleasure doing business with you." Glancing over her inventory once, she spoke again. "If you don't mind, I have some things that need restocking. Then I'll be on my way..." As soon as she replenished her resources, if allowed, she would board her ship and make headway for Celestial Station. Her scope fixated on her next target... Edited by Ixia, May 26 2011, 06:55 PM.

But of course Lady Meirin. Turuar is open to you. Solokyer said with a kind smile, something strange on the being's face. He led her out of the room and made certain she knew where to go for what she needed, before leaving himself, to tend to ... other business. Good luck.. He muttered under his breath. He did hope that this would throw the Demon he had created, off enough to secure his end. The last thing he needed was the Council actually finding out, and gathering sufficient evidence against him for this rather illegal act. The difference between the Shilor's Zen'tier, and his own creation was simple. Zen'tier were indeed, pure Shilor. Nothing was done outside of their own people, if he would even consider the mutated beings, people... Solokyer however had not stayed within the limitations granted scientific genetic experimentation by the council. He knew this, which was one reason he was so paranoid about the whole project. At least he did not have a Var in his possession anymore. For once, he could thank Zorbekku for that, even though he had not liked the idea of loosing the woman in the beginning. Now, come to think about it, it was a rather good idea. With constantly moving hands, and a knitted expression, he went deeper into the building, hoping against hope that the problem of Kuro would be over soon... Edited by Amaurea, May 26 2011, 05:00 PM.

In a flash of yellow light, the tall Zabraki landed one knee on the ground, lit saber still in hand, this time he had landed in the middle of a bustling street, everything was ebony colored, and almost metallic, he looked around, was this the creatures that had chased him homeworld? He rose from his knee and looked around, nobody seemed to have noticed him yet as he faced the yellow portal. But nothing came from it. Finally in a bright flash it was gone, perhaps now he had reached the place he had meant to be....Who knew? |

For a second, the appearance of a large yellow glowing portal didn't interrupt the normal bustle of the city. The anomaly happened near the science distract. Odds were someone had screwed something up in a physics lab- and just like anticipated, the portal had closed as quickly as it had opened. But when people started seeing them rather tall, horned man standing in the path- things started slowing down. Loki was given a growing gap between he and the people heading to where ever they were going. A few stopped and peered at him- but for a few minutes, no one spoke to him, or approached him in any way. However, even though no one interacted with him directly- Loki would hear whispered words sliding through the crowd, in a strangely sharp, melodic language. Like their speech, these people's features were sharp and angular- mirroring itself in their tall, sheer buildings which pierced the red colored sky like black talons. They were a race without softness- yet still retaining some measure of individuality, far from clones or droids the Zabrak might be use to where he came from. And then something with quick- almost surgical precision, cut cleanly though Loki's mind- so fast, it almost wouldn't register as a threat, especially with how targeted the mental invasion was. And without a trace- the presence was gone, leaving no damage, or afterthought behind. And perhaps- the Zabrak would only wonder about it for a moment before walking off- except then there was a voice. Hello, Welcome to Turuar. The man stood behind Loki, almost 7 feet tall, clad in what looked like formal attire- a long black cote, linked together in the front- over a gray shirt. The man's eyes peered up at Loki, a curious light flickering like embers. His short black hair reached back, in almost metallic thin shards. My name is Eir'Oki. What brings you to our magnificent city? |

Loki turned around, red saber in his hand and pointed it at the man, was it a man? Before him, he was highly attuned to mental attacks, and it was alarming, but gone before he could retaliate. The Zabrak gave the man a once over, wondering how he could understand him now, when before he couldn't understand the sharp words he had heard from the crowd, his cybernetic eye flashed as he recorded the man for future use. Before looking at the blood red sky. "Sith magic." Loki said quietly. "I was forced here, chased really." Loki said quietly still looking around, he could sense these beings like he could any other, yet it was off, almost like the feeling of sensing Vong before they where rejoined the force, albeit they where here, unlike the Vong. "Where is your city? What world am I on? Taris? Is this some past or future Korriban? Perhaps Zoist eons ago?" Loki said, he had never seen being's like this before, different yet almost clone like in appearance. He did not let go of his saber or lower it, he was defensive, since had been thrown into that portal nearly everything he had encountered had tried to kill him one or another, perhaps this was all an illusion. |

Eir'Oki flinched backwards, obviously not expecting a jet of stabilized red energy to shoot out at him from the alien. Upon closer observation, the Kyran realized it was actually energy mimicking a sword, or a saber. What an interesting weapon. Instinctively Eir'Oki lifted his hands, apparently the universal sign of 'I'm not going to attack you' and gave a small smile. Some of your words and names of places are still unfamiliar to me. He informed with a nod. You are either from another dimension or, perhaps, a whole other galaxy. We've mapped this one in its- and you certainly do not match anything found here....fascinating. He seemed more interested in the scientific novelty of it all- rather than showing any sympathy for the fact that Loki had just been ripped away from his home and familiar surroundings. The planet you are on currently is called Kyris. It's the fifth planet in this star system- we call the system in its whole, Alnar. like the star's name. He tilted his head, curious light shining in his orange eyes. Where are you from? And, what is that intriguing weapon you're pointing at me? |

Loki watched as the being lifted his arms in the universal or even perhaps trans dimensional sign of peace, Loki lowered his saber to his side in the apparently defenseless style of Makashi, and seemed to relax a bit. This creature said he was in a galaxy called Alnar? The fifth planet? Who counted planets, some systems in his galaxy had hundreds of "Planets" some surrounding as many as six or seven stars. "I am from..." Loki sighed how could one explain the vastness of the galaxy to someone from a different one. "Well, there are the core worlds, the expansion region, the rim worlds, the wild space, unmapped sectors...I am from Iridonia, or rather my race is, I was raised on Korriban." Loki said simply hoping that would suffice as an answer. "As for my weapon, it is a Light saber, a weapon used almost exclusively by force wielders, known as Jedi and Sith, with a few exceptions being my self. Though I was once a Sith Lord.." He mused to himself this was strange explaining things common knowledge to most people he knew as though new. "What are you?" Loki asked quietly finally deciding the saber could be retraced, with that the blade sunk back into the hilt and he clipped it to his belt. "And was it you who entered my mind, for but a second?" He asked pointedly, he hadn't talked this much in days. |

So many new words. He didn't have time to learn the meaning of all of them for his brief visit to the alien's mind- which he had to admit, was formidable. He certainly was glad this being did not seem violent- at least not right now. As Loki spoke about the lightsaber, Eir'Oki's eyes fixated on it as the blade withdrew back into the hilt. Briefly his mind wondered if he might figure out a way to make their own energy loop like that- and frankly, why they'd never thought of it before. Blinking, the Kyran returned to the present and spoke as he beckoned the Zabrak to follow him. Night is falling- we should probably get inside. They would head deeper into the science district- mainly because that was where he had to end his watch shift, and he didn't want to leave this being unsupervised in the city. Your universe sounds very large. The Alnar system only contains eight planets, and two moons capable of sustaining life- and then there's one other world with .... intelligent life on it- but it's in another star system and they haven't figured out how to get over here yet. We leave them alone. He said with a thin, condescending smile. Loki mentioned the words Jedi and Sith- apparently they had ranks, like Lord, and...others, perhaps. and Force- well, there were forces, but the creature seemed to consider this Force as something more of a object? Than a subject scientific law. What are these Jedi and Sith? are they races, from different worlds? He nodded when Loki asked him about himself- and almost instantly the being's demeanor changed from curiosity to one of confidant pride. I'm a security officer for this district of Turuar- This is where our scientists do their cutting edge work and we never know when spies might infiltrate and try to steal our secrets. He lifted a metallic eyebrow and smiled slightly. You're not a spy are you? You're very...conspicuous for a spy. When Loki asked pointedly if Eir'Oki had been the one to prick his mind, the Kyran shifted slightly and nodded slowly- but distinctly. Yes- sorry about that. I sensed at once you did not know our language, and I didn't want to spend time figuring your out with hand motions. It's terribly inconvenient. He was quick to add a declaimer. But that's all I saw- you have my word, and only your most commonly spoken tongue. For a second, he looked genuinely worried at the alien's reaction. Edited by Amaurea, Oct 14 2016, 12:33 AM.
