”You really don’t want to get in my way...”

Whole Name: Robert Bradley Keyes
Nickname: Rob, Bullet Bob, Rambo, Masterkey(most given to him in High School Football)
Codename: Currently Torch, formerly Cyclone(due to his previous ability of Aerokinesis)
Age: 18
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 230 lbs.
Eyes: Black
Hair: Short Cut
Body Type: Muscular(looks smaller then he actually is because of it)
Species: “Gifted” Human/Mutant

Former School:
Camp Remington(Not Currently Enrolled)
Level: Level 2

Family:
Richard Keyes - Father
Sonya Keyes - Mother
Robert’s Family was killed in a house fire

Friends/Acquaintances:

Felisha Hannigan, Trix
Charlie Burnett, Red
Jason Hightower, Hacker
Elise Huntington, Tracker
Anton Renhuld, Cyote

Enemies:
His Family’s Murderer, Siphen

Powers:
Primary Mutation
Enhanced Physical Structure
Robert’s body was born with an unrealistically high threshold for pain as well as a musculature system and bone structure that allowed him to exert his physical presence and turn it into dominance. Not only can he exert much more strength then those around him but his body is able to physically resist the damage that could cause. Because of this his body is able to grant him super strength as well as enhanced resistance to physical pressure, tension, and force.

Secondary Mutation
Pyrokinesis
Robert is able to release a flammable chemical through his pores that can ignite through his friction and internal body temperature. By rubbing his hands together, due to his enhanced strength, he can ignite a flame from his hand that he can then manipulate mentally, changing its shape, size, and intensity. His subconscious prevents him from burning his clothes if his flame gets out of control.

Physical Condition/Strength Level:

Jacob is in peak physical condition, regularly working out. His strength level is only increased with the use of his powers, but is impressive without them.

Weaknesses:
- Robert’s powers can’t exceed his body’s physical resistance or he’d start to hurt himself. He also has a habit of exerting too much power at times which can make some tasks difficult.
- Robert has a fear of deep water after an accident when he fell in the water and couldn’t concentrate himself to lift himself back up.
- Robert’s Pyrokinesis works in rain to a decreased degree, and is completely useless if submerged in water.
- Robert’s Pyrokinesis is only controllable with his hands as he pulls, expands, and pushes fire from them under normal conditions.
- Robert’s powers work proportionately to how much energy he has. If he is fatigued then his powers won’t work well.
- When Robert is angered or in a state of emotional stress he has a state that he calls his “Inner Inferno.” His entire body ignites into flames and he is not in control of his strength. While his body releases uncontrollable amounts of the flammable chemical through his pores he will become fatigued at a drastically fast rate due to his body releasing so much from his entire body. The only ways to stop this form is through intense pain to knock him out, calming him down and making him snap out of this state, overpowering the flame(submerging his body), or letting his body run out of energy.

Personality:
Robert is a more reserved individual, though he is not completely cold to everyone. He is easy to talk to if approached and enjoys company and hanging out with others, but tries to act “Big and Independent” to throw people off. Once breaking through he is a very friendly person. He is also a bit of a hothead, not knowing how to cope with anger generally and keeps things inside of him until they explode, usually through verbal or physical expression.
(Will shape further through RP)

Background:
Robert was born premature, though despite this he was a very healthy baby, healthier than most even at regular birth. As he grew up he showed a knack for being rather strong, able to lift his mother’s weight set with relative ease, though it just looked like the signs of a strong and healthy growing child.
His first experience with his powers was when he was a freshman in his first high school. He was on the football team and playing in a scrimmage post season. Playing line backer, he attempted to get through the line and seamlessly plowed his way through guys bigger than him, including a 300 lb senior, though no one noticed, not even him. The coaches thought it was perhaps a fluke, and the senior, Hugh, was heated that a freshman put him on his butt. The coached then let Robert run an Oklahoma Drill against Hugh, Robert having to get past Hugh to tackle the ball carrier. At the sound of the whistle the team witnessed Robert, a freshman of about 155 lbs nearly roll over a guy twice his size and throw him into another teammate. The entire team, coach and all were in shock and awe. He immediately left the field and went home, never to come back to that school.
One year later, during a basketball game at Robert’s second school his team was down by one point. There were but a few seconds on the clock when a teammate shot a jump shot. Robert, under the hoop, saw as the shot was not going in but instead was bouncing far away from the net. Determined to win he’d jump to try and catch the ball to tip it back in. When he jumped, he’d find his body instead easily overtaking the net and slamming the ball in at the buzzer, winning the game. The entire crowd was ecstatic over his victory, but Robert knew he shouldn’t have been able to jump that high. He never told a single soul of this and tried his best to live a normal life, though he never played sports after that season much to the dismay of his teammates and school.
Two years after this event, Robert went away to his grandparents’ house for the summer after high school and never came back. His parents were, and still are worried sick about him but Robert chose to leave without notice. At his grandparents’ house while they were gone he was approached by a man representing a school of sorts, a school for people like him. Convincing himself that he would never fit in “normal” society he packed very little and simply left.

Current Events
After word got to Camp Remington that Robert’s family was frantic looking for them the Headmaster suggested to Robert that he go back to his family. Under normal circumstances Remington wouldn’t let their students go, but they also found out that Robert’s mother fell very ill because of disease. Robert, originally not knowing, was reluctant to leave the school out of fear of harming someone with his power, but as he decided to go anyway. When he returned to see his family together, helping his mother he realized why the school let him go so easily and he stayed.
He helped take care of his mother for a month, tending to her, hiding his powers, and just enjoying the love of his family he once thought he’d never see. One evening, around sunset, Robert was in his house, the only one awake, when it was bombed. The house ignited into flames around him and the and the gas line in the kitchen only made things worse. He couldn’t get to his family and was almost knocked unconscious from an explosion coming from seemingly everywhere. As he began to try and save himself his powers over air weren’t working, only feeding the flames. It was then that he felt his body burn, but it didn’t hurt. He was becoming weaker but the flames didn’t hurt as he tried to move then away with his air manipulation. He was able to move the flames, but no air came from his palms, and his mind was moving the flames away bit by bit. As he left the house it would collapse in a blaze of fire and he fell to his knees, passing out afterwards from the lack of oxygen from inside the house.
When he woke up he was in a strange safe house area where a man was treating his wounds, which were surprisingly minimal. As time went on, roughly another month in time, he realized a number of things. His power over air manipulation was gone and a new power surfaced the power to control fire as well as give off a strange chemical that created it. He learned to use his super strength to help him make fire and even control it a bit more mentally. He unfortunately doesn’t know Everything about this power of his, and some abilities might not be as useful or friendly as others.
Now Robert is back at Camp Remington, requesting a name change from Cyclone to Torch.
