Ok here i go again

- Why do you want to play the characters you do?
I like to be the weird guy in the party, take an inovating character and use it. I'm really open minded, for example an elemental race, im in a rock held together by psychic power im game.

- In a situation where violence and conversation would solve a situation equally well which would you chose?
Depends, i will usually attempt to do it democraticly, then i'll go fists out if things dont seem to work out, or whatever the situation.

-How long have you been playing DnD (any other RPG)?
4 months

-What is your experience with Maptools?
Decent but lacking in the building your own token department and macros.

-What is your experience with 4e frameworks?
Almost 0.

-What do you expect from me, as a DM?
*A good story, entertaining encounters
*That you make the campaing 1 hour earlier(kind of a joke but not really a joke)
*Patience since im new at maptools.
*Comprehensive(I'll return to college on the 9th of august, so it might affect my gametime)
*An overall nice dude, i know that as a DM i once lsot my cool and threw a basilisk at my adventurers...they somehow killed it.

-Why do you want to play in this game?
I want to experience a good online D&D campaign, the concept seems to my understanding our growing society pushing out the mystical creatures out, so i think its an intersting plot, eighter humans are evil or good, it depends on what we learn from them on the campaign.

Character Information (Name/Race/Class): Balashi/Shardmind/Monk
Brief character background:
when he was really young, his village was destroyed by the development of human civilization, he was raised in a secluded area and just learned about what happened, he wants to show what he is capable of and learn what really happened to his people.
He would be a: general good, with a posible dislike but not hate to some humans.(raised by humans).
His goal would be to show people the mistake they've done by cornering some species with their excesive growth.
He is seeking his true nature.

- Why do you want to play the characters you do?
I played an artificer in one session previously and loved the character. Unfortunately they changed up the session time to something completely incompatible after that session and I wasn't able to play the character any longer so I would love to get a shot at playing him again in a fresh campaign.

- In a situation where violence and conversation would solve a situation equally well which would you chose?
Vallo prides himself on his intellect, but he isn't a very charismatic fellow. If he thinks he can outwit his opponent verbally without it dissolving into a popularity contest, he will almost always choose that route but he is not opposed to using his smarts to calculate the best trajectory for his bolt to fly either.

-How long have you been playing DnD (any other RPG)?
Started playing 4e sporadically since its release, much less than I would have liked really.

-What is your experience with Maptools?
I have been a player in 3 different campaigns using Maptools, so I feel pretty comfortable with it.

-What is your experience with 4e frameworks?
For 2/3 campaigns I used DeviantNull framework.

-What do you expect from me, as a DM?
Creativity in both encounters and story, as well as an open mind for off-the-wall ideas from players.

-Why do you want to play in this game?
I like the concept and have really been looking to get back into a game with an acceptable session time with my friend Stossel.

You're almost there! Now that I have an idea of who you are as a player, I'll need to know about your character.

Character Information (Name/Race/Class):
Vallo/Human/Artificer

Brief character background:
Vallo has a penchant for the inanimate. Ever since childhood he has been amazed with how things work and has had a certain undeniable touch for getting things to work for him. Having apprenticed with his small village's witch doctor for a while, he also gained a valuable knowledge of healing salves and ointments that some of the less educated folks considered to be 'magic'. Vallo has most recently taken his skills and his trusty crossbow to the road, realizing there's more to life than patching up farm injuries and more to the world than cornfields.

This means that we have the following;
Invoker (Controller)
Warlock (Striker-Ranged)
Rogue (Striker-Melee)
Artificer (Leader)

Looks like we need a defender and we're good to go.

- Why do you want to play the characters you do?
I usually play masked characters, and have a lower charisma, because I shy away from leader type roles. I enjoy strikers and defenders, but have had some exciting controllers as well. I will be playing a human swordmage, because I think the challenge of concealing magic while absorbing damage in light armor without a shield will be fun. I like to be more secretive characters to add a mysterious tone to my character.

- In a situation where violence and conversation would solve a situation equally well which would you chose?
Most of the time I would not even let the situation arise, because they would already be dead. However, my swordmage will attempt efforts of peace before leaning on his blade.

-How long have you been playing DnD (any other RPG)?
FOR-E-VER Sandlot style. I have had about 10 years of DnD experience and countless other RPGs.

-What is your experience with Maptools?
I have some basic experience with Maptools.

-What is your experience with 4e frameworks?
I am a bad ass at 4e frameworks. More or less.

-What do you expect from me, as a DM?

I expect sexy time, and business time, with socks included. On a more serious note, I would expect fairness and a challenge with a unique world that can keep my attention for the length of the campaign.

-Why do you want to play in this game?
The world sounded intriguing and the DM has had a few stellar personal recommendations that I refuse to ignore. I think it will be fun, and I look forward to being able to be immersed into the world.

You're almost there! Now that I have an idea of who you are as a player, I'll need to know about your character.

Character Information (Name/Race/Class):
Andrew/Human/Swordmage
Brief character background:
Andrew was born and raised as most were in Darry. His parents were both wool farmers, and maintained a fair amount of sheep. Throughout childhood, Andrew was taught how to raise livestock and farm for food. He and his friends decided that they wanted to be able to protect their livestock from wolves, and made practice swords out of lumber from Westwood. They practiced daily, and at the time, many elves would pass through, a few thoughtful enough to give tips and tricks.
One elf in particular paid close attention to Andrew, and when Andrew turned 13, the elf gave him a cheap elven sword as a gift. While the sword was of poor quality and not magical by elven standards, it was the nicest sword that Andrew had ever seen, and he took excellent care of it. The elf, whose name was Tananinthalar, better known as Tanan, took Andrew under his wing, from the time he was 13 until he was 24, teaching him the ways of swordsmanship, and simple magic.
At 24, Andrew left to join the army of Lord of Iosia. However, by now the elves were leaving, and the Lord’s army did not have enough food for any new recruits, and Andrew was now a trained swordmage with no place to go.

I'd like to thank everyone else for their time and efforts into applying for The Chronicles of Vaniya. I apologize that I can't allow everyone into the group. However, if any unforeseen circumstances arise where a player must leave, I will contact you guys first.
