While some people may find something usable amidst the pre-installed options, others might prefer a wider selection. Luckily, it couldn't be easier to install ringtones on your Motorola i1. In this guide, we show you exactly how it's done. First, you'll need to find some ringtones you like. To make things as simple as possible, ensure your ringtones are DRM-free MP3 files. Also, they should typically be 30-seconds or less in length. A good source for free ringtones is mobile9.com and high quality normal, ringing ringtones can be purchased from RCP Tones. You can also make your own ringtones using music you already own thanks to free audio editing software such as Audacity. Once you have some great ringtones on your computer, you're ready to go: 1. Ensure your microSD card is in your Motorola i1, then connect it to your computer using the supplied USB cable 1. If your Motorola i1 does not mount automatically, touch the USB icon that appears in the menu bar at the top of the display, drag it down to expose the Android Notification Pane, then tap on USB Connected and select Mount (or Disk Drive) 2. Using a file explorer on your computer, navigate to the root folder (the main directory) of the memory card in your Motorola i1 3. Create a new folder called ringtones (some devices require a lowercase "r" so please name the new folder exactly as specified) 4. Now, simply copy all of the MP3 ringtones you want on your Motorola i1 into the new ringtones folder That's it! You can now unmount your Motorola i1 and your ringtones will become available as options when changing your ringtone. 1. To set one of your new MP3s as your ringtone: 2. From the home screen, tap Menu then Settings 3. Tap Sound, then Phone ringtone 4. Scroll to the ringtone you want, select it and then tap OK Enjoy. 2) How to install a new keyboard on the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to install a new keyboard on the Motorola i1 There are several keyboard options available for the Android platform - we'll show you how to install a new one and switch between them Published on Aug 11, 2010 One very cool and unique thing about Android compared to other platforms is that there are numerous keyboard options. The Motorola i1 comes with the default multitouch keyboard, but what if you're in the mood for something a bit more exotic? First, you need to install some new keyboards. There are many different options when it comes to Android keyboards. Play around with all of them and see which one fits you best. Better Keyboard is an option that actually has countless skins available right from the Market. It will allow you to change and fine-tune the keyboard to make it your own. SwiftKey is another option that provides impressive word prediction, including a feature that predicts the next word you haven't even begun to type yet. Now, you're ready to switch: 1. Tap the applications launcher 2. Scroll over and tap Settings 3. In the settings menu, scroll down and tap Language & keyboard If you have a custom keyboard installed, you will see an option to toggle it on and off with a check box. In order to have it appear as a selection, the box next to your desired keyboard must be checked. 4. Tap on Input method 5. Find the name of the keyboard you want to activate, and tap on it. 6. Press the Home button Your new keyboard is now active! If you want to test it to make sure it is activated, just press the Search key, and your keyboard will pop up like in the image above. 3) How to configure call filtering on the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to configure call filtering on the Motorola i1 We show you how to regain control over your incoming calls and automatically send the ones you don't want to voicemail Published on Aug 11, 2010 There's always that handful of people that, if given the option, we would rather not talk to on most occasions. Sure you can typically "ignore" their calls and kick them to voicemail, but many folks are able to tell when a call has been screened manually. As a result, you're inevitably going to end up with some hurt feelings on the other end of the line. But what if you could determine whose calls ring through and whose don't? If someone's call always goes straight to voicemail, he or she will likely think your phone is off or outside the service area. The Android operating system has a nifty feature built-in, albeit somewhat hidden, that allows you just such freedoms. In this guide, we'll show you how to gain a little more control over your incoming calls on a contact-by-contact basis. 1. Open your contact list 2. Scroll until you find the contact that you'd like to send straight to voicemail, and tap to open the contact 3. Near the bottom of the contact page, find and tap on the Send to voicemail option 1. A pop-up will appear asking if you're sure you want to enable this feature. 4. Tap OK And you're done! You can do this to as many contacts as you choose and now, only the people you want to be able to reach you directly will have that power. Bonus tip: Do you have a pesky telemarketer who doesn't get the hint? Save the number in your phone strictly for these purposes and cut stress in half! 4) How to change the wallpaper on the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to change the wallpaper on the Motorola i1 We show you how to set a custom picture as the background on your Motorola i1 Published on Jul 27, 2010 Are you tired of the standard, boring wallpaper on your Motorola i1? We don't blame you. Everyone needs a change from time to time and luckily for you, changing wallpapers on the i1 couldn't be easier. There are two different ways to achieve a wallpaper change. We'll show you both of them in this guide. From the home screen: You can actually access your wallpaper image right from the home screen. This is the quickest and easiest way to do it. 1. Touch and hold the screen somewhere where there are no widgets or app icons 2. An Add to Home screen pop-up will appear - tap the Wallpapers option 3. You will then be presented with a Select wallpaper from window - choose Live wallpapers, Media gallery, Wallpaper gallery or Wallpapers 4. For Live wallpapers: 1. Scroll to a live wallpaper that you want to use, and tap it 2. If you're satisfied with your selection, tap Set wallpaper 5. For Media gallery: 1. Your picture folders will be displayed on the screen - select the folder containing the picture you want to use for your wallpaper 2. Tap on the image you want to set as your wallpaper 3. You will be presented with your chosen picture on the screen with a colored cropping square on it 4. Touch and drag any of the four sides of the square to resize the area of the image to be used for your wallpaper 5. Once you're satisfied, tap Save 6. For Wallpaper Gallery or Wallpapers: 1. Scroll through the images until you find the image that you want to use 2. Once you select an image, tap Set wallpaper From the settings menu: 1. Tap the applications launcher from the home screen 2. Tap the Settings icons 3. Tap Personalize 4. Tap the Home wallpaper option 5. Continue from Step 2 of the From the home screen option It's that easy! You now have a fresh new wallpaper configured on your Motorola i1. 5) How to set up wireless iTunes sync with the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to set up wireless iTunes sync with the Motorola i1 We show you how to keep your Android-powered i1 synced wirelessly with your favorite iTunes playlists thanks to TuneSync Published on Jul 27, 2010 iPhone users, eat your hearts out. If you're making a list of features that the iPhone should absolutely have but doesn't, wireless synchronization with iTunes will likely be near the top of that list. While iPhone users may forever find themselves wondering when or even if they will see such functionality come to fruition, Android users can partake in this fantastic phenomenon now with the help of TuneSync. In this guide, we show you how to set up TuneSync on your Motorola i1 and start syncing with iTunes wirelessly on your Mac or Windows PC. * DOWNLOAD and install TuneSync on your OS X or Windows-powered machine * Launch the TuneSync software * Organize and/or create the playlists in iTunes that you want to sync to your device * Download and install the TuneSync client on your device by searching for "TuneSync" in the Android Market, or by scanning the following QR code Posted Image * Once you have the app installed, select the Host Computer option Posted Image * Wait for TuneSync to find and display your iTunes library, and then select it * Once your device is connected to the computer, you will see a list of all the playlists * Check the box next to each playlist you want to sync to your device Posted Image * Back on the main screen, ensure that Enable Sync has a check mark beside it * Scroll down, and select Sync Now And that's it! Once you have your playlists synced, TuneSync will automatically synchronize periodically, without any effort on your part! For those who always like to keep their music up-to-date on their phones, four dollars doesn't seem like much at all for such an easy, effortless solution. There is also a "Lite" version available, but it limits playlists to 20 songs each. 6) How to re-download app purchases on your Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to re-download app purchases on your Motorola i1 We show you how to easily re-download lost paid applications without having to pay again Published on Jul 27, 2010 Have you ever accidentally removed an application from your phone? There are many ways it can happen and it's always a mini-panic-attack-inducing moment when you realize you've lost something -- especially if it's an app you've paid for. However, if you do find yourself in this predicament, please try to avoid a shock-inspired repurchase. Instead, follow these quick and easy steps to re-download your lost applications for free. 1. Navigate to the Android Market application and launch the Market 2. Press the Menu button and select Downloads 3. Scroll through your list of downloaded applications until you find the one that you are looking for (any paid applications should show "Purchased" next to them) 4. Once you've found your lost application, just re-download it as you did the first time That's it! This also works for free applications as well, of course. Your download history is saved in the market to provide easy access to all your applications if needed. Another handy use for this is freeing up device memory. If there's an application that you use occasionally, but you don't want it taking up your device's on-board memory when you aren't using it, simply remove it and re-download when you need it through this process. 7) How to sync the Motorola i1 with iTunes Spoiler: click to toggle How to sync the Motorola i1 with iTunes We show you how to synchronize music from an iTunes library with the Motorola i1 Published on Jul 27, 2010 So you have a large iTunes library and now you have a Motorola i1 -- but how can you make them work together to synchronize your music? The following guide shows you how to quickly and easy set up your computer to sync your Motorola i1 with music from iTunes. The first section details how to acquire a small piece of software called "iTunes Agent", that allows you to use your i1 with iTunes on a Windows-based computer (we are assuming that you already have iTunes installed, and have an existing library of music). Mac users can achieve the same results by installing a program called iTuneMyWalkman (CLICK HERE). Posted Image 1. Download and install iTunes Agent 2. Once installed, the application runs in the system tray and monitors iTunes 3. Plug the i1 into your computer's USB port and mount it (figure 1 above) 1. Touch the USB icon that appears in the menu bar at the top of the display, and drag it down to expose the Android Notification Pane 2. Tap on USB Connected, and select Mount 4. Create a folder on the mounted i1 called Music The second section, below, details how to create a configuration for the i1 in iTunes Agent's Preferences (figure 2 for all steps below). Posted Image 1. Right-click on the iTunes Agent icon in the system tray 2. Click Preferences 3. Leave all defaults checked and click the New button 4. Give the device a name (i1 in this case) 5. Leave Synchronize pattern: set to iTunes 6. Click the Choose button and select the Music folder you created on the i1 7. Click the Create button and select the Music folder you created on the i1 8. Click Save and then Close The final section explains how to add music to your i1 (figure 3 for all steps below). Posted Image 1. Launch iTunes and you will see a playlist folder called My Devices, under which you will see the i1 2. Simply drag the music you wish to synchronize from your iTunes library to your i1 into this playlist 3. Finally, right-click on the iTunes Agent icon in the system tray and select Synchronize devices Music is now copied to your Motorola i1 and can be played using the i1's Music application. 8) How to hard reset the Motorola i1 (THIS IS NOT THE FACTORY RESET) Factory Reset can be found on #16 Spoiler: click to toggle How to hard reset the Motorola i1 We show you how to factory reset the Motorola i1 to clear all data and restore its original settings Published on Jul 27, 2010 The Motorola i1 is highly customizable and you have been hard at work tweaking it to your liking, but now the fun is over and you want to return it to its factory settings again. Here, we show you how to hard reset the Motorola i1 with step by step instructions. Please note that all data will be deleted from the Motorola i1 as a result of this procedure. This process may or may not delete data stored on the microSD card. We recommend backing up all of your personal data before proceeding. First, try this: 1. From the main home screen, tap menu 2. Tap Settings, then SD card & phone storage 3. Tap Master Clear 4. Tap Reset phone 5. Enter your password, then tap OK to confirm 6. Tap Erase everything All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the Motorola i1. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state. 9) How to take screenshots on the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to take screenshots on the Motorola i1 We show you how to take screenshots on your Motorola i1 Published on Jul 27, 2010 Naturally you have seen the awesome Motorola i1 screenshots we have taken for our user guides and you are wondering, "How did they do that?" The Motorola i1 runs on Android 2.1 and as of now, no applications are available that allow for on-device screenshots. This guide will provide you with the software you need and show you how to get stunning screen captures from your device. Two separate pieces of software are required and must be installed on your PC: 1. The Android software development kit (SDK) CLICK HERE 2. The Java SE software development kit (SDK) CLICK HERE Once your downloads are complete a few steps are required to get things ready. On your computer: 1. Extract the Google Android SDK to a folder on your desktop 2. Install the the Java SE SDK On the Motorola i1: 1. Press the Home icon, press Menu and then tap Settings 2. Tap on Applications 3. Tap on Development 4. Check the box for USB debugging Now you are ready to get started. Posted Image 1. Plug your Motorola i1 into your computer via USB and Windows will attempt to install all of the appropriate drivers; one of the drivers will not be found and thus you must proceed to Device Manager in your Control Panel and find the Motorola i1 (there will be a yellow icon next to it) 2. Right-click on the Motorola i1 entry and select properties; instruct Windows to update/install the driver for this device and when asked, simply browse to the usb_driver folder inside of the Android software development kit folder that you extracted to your desktop earlier -- the device is recognized and the driver is installed 3. Browse to the Android SDK folder that you extracted to your desktop and run the SDK Setup.exe to start the program 4. Once the application has launched you will be presented with a window as shown in figure 2 above 5. Click on the Refresh button so that the application can update its list of operating system SDKs available from Google 6. Check off the section next to the URL that is shown in the application; you are now presented with a list of Android SDKs and Google APIs you wish to install 7. It is recommended that you select select all available packages for maximum compatibility 8. Once the files have been downloaded simply close the application 9. Browse to the Tools folder inside the Android SDK folder you extracted to your desktop 10. Double click on DDMS.BAT to execute the Dalvik Debug Monitor 11. The application will launch with a DOS command window and eventually a Windows based application -- your phone will be listed on the left hand side, and you should click on it to make sure it is selected 12. Click on the Device menu and select Screen Capture or use the CTRL-S key combo 13. The capture now appears on your screen, but there is one final undocumented step 14. We recommend that you click on the Copy button and paste the screenshot into your image editor of choice (Microsoft Paint, Adobe Photoshop, etc) -- the reason for this is that there is a known bug that does not carry over the colors of the actual screenshot inside the capture utility Voila! You now have a stunning screenshot from the display on your Motorola i1. Repeat steps 12-14 to generate more screenshots. 10) How to set up POP3 and IMAP email accounts on the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to set up POP3 and IMAP email accounts on the Motorola i1 We show you how to configure POP3 and IMAP email accounts on to your Motorola i1 Published on Jul 27, 2010 Android-based smartphones include two email clients, one for Gmail and one for other types of email servers including Microsoft Exchange, IMAP and POP3. Enter the Outgoing server settings: SMTP server (ex: smtp.yourdomain.com), Port, Security type, Require sign-in (check box), Username, and Password, then tap Done, and then Next 8. You can now select Account options: Email checking frequency (15 minutes by default), Send email from this account by default (check box), and Notify me when email arrives (checkbox) -- make your selections and tap Next 9. Your email account is now set up on your Motorola i1 and must be named -- also be sure to enter your name to be displayed on outgoing messages Once completed, the Motorola i1 will connect to the account and begin retrieving your email. While viewing the message list, you are also able to change the settings that are assigned to this account by tapping the Menu icon -- which is directly to the left of the Home icon -- and then tapping Account settings. The following options are available: * Account name * Your name * Email check frequency * Default account (make the current account the default email account on your Motorola i1) * Email notifications * Select Ringtone * Vibrate * Incoming settings (to modify IMAP or POP3 server settings) * Outgoing settings (to modify SMTP server settings) The menu icon also gives you more options, which include refresh, compose, folders, accounts and account settings. Oddly, if you want to add another email account to your Motorola i1, it is done while viewing the message list of an account that has been previously setup. Tap the Menu icon -- which is directly to the left of the Home icon -- and then tap Accounts. Then start from the top of this guide to add another account. 11) How to set up a Wi-Fi connection on the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to set up a Wi-Fi connection on the Motorola i1 If you need to connect your Motorola i1 to a Wi-Fi network then check out this simple, step-by-step user guide to getting connected wirelessly Published on Jul 27, 2010 If you're using your Motorola i1 for the first time, you can easily select the Wi-Fi network you'd like to join using the setup manager. When you opt in for either Mobile Network or Wi-Fi, or just Wi-Fi, the i1 will by default try to connect to a Wi-Fi network near you. Select the network you wish to connect to, enter the password if required and you're set up. If you want to change the settings, or set it up for the first time, you can do this through the Settings menu. Note: If you're attempting to access a network-based page or app, you may be required to set up a new Wi-Fi connection. When prompted, select the option to set up a new connection. 1. Access the Wi-Fi settings menu by navigating to the Wireless & networks menu 2. Select Wi-Fi settings 3. Choose a listed network, or add a hidden network by selecting Add Wi-Fi network 4. If you choose one of the listed networks and it's secured, enter the password, press Connect and you'll be connected to that network 5. If you wish to access a hidden network, select Add Wi-Fi network and enter the SSID 6. If a password is required, you'll be prompted to enter this before connecting If Wi-Fi is turned off, you can now turn this on by ticking the box in the Wireless & networks menu. 12) How to convert videos and transfer them to the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to convert videos and transfer them to the Motorola i1 We show you how to convert video files and optimize them for viewing on the Motorola i1 Published on Jul 27, 2010 The Motorola i1 has a great screen that just begs for some quality video to show off. But what is the best way for you to convert your favorite videos and transfer them to your i1? In this guide, we show you what software you need to convert videos for viewing on the i1, and we also show you how to get your newly converted videos onto your handset. Requirements: 1. Installed copy of Handbrake software 2. Video files and or DVD of your choice 3. Motorola i1 with microUSB cable Step I: Launch the Handbrake application on your computer and select the video source Posted Image 1. Launch Handbrake (figure 1) 2. In the menu on the right-hand side, select the iPod Legacy preset (figure 1) 3. Select your video source by clicking on the Source dropdown menu (we used a DVD for our testing purposes) 4. Select the destination and name for the file once it has been converted (both the .mp4 and .m4v extension work for the i1) 5. Confirm that the container is set to MP4 File and that Large file size, Web optimized, and iPod 5G support are unchecked Step II: Adjust Handbrake's Video Settings Picture Tab: 1. Uncheck Keep Aspect Ratio 2. Set the i1 Width and Height (the i1 supports a maximum of 480 x 320 pixels) Video Tab: Posted Image 1. Set Handbrake's encoding settings by clicking on the Video tab (figure 2) 2. Confirm the Video Codec is set as H.264 (x264) 3. Framerate (FPS) should be set to Same as source 4. Under Quality, select the Avg Bitrate (kbps) and change it to 1500 Step III: Adjust audio settings Posted Image 1. Set Handbrake's audio settings by clicking on the Audio tab (figure 3) 2. Confirm the Audio Codec is AAC (faac) 3. Mixdown should be set to Stereo 4. Change the Samplerate to 48 5. Change the Bitrate to 160 Step IV: Save as a preset for future use 1. "i1" will now be saved as a preset and listed on the right hand side in Handbrake to be used in the future Step V: Convert the video and copy to your i1 1. Click on the Start button in Handbrake 2. A command line/DOS window will open and start to process the video conversion 3. Once the conversion is done, mount your i1 on to your computer via USB 4. Once mounted, create a folder named Video in the root folder on the i1 5. Copy converted file into the Video folder That's it! The converted video can now be played on your i1 using the Gallery app. It should look fantastic on the i1's screen as long as the original source was of good quality. A few things to keep in mind when converting video: 1. The i1 does not like video file sizes over 2GB (the settings in Step II should help insure that the file size is kept under 2GB) 2. Your converted video will only be as good as the source video 3. If your source is over 480 x 320, you must be sure to set the width and height to a maximum of 480 x 320 as noted in Step II 13) How to download and save YouTube videos on the Motorola i1 Spoiler: click to toggle How to download and save YouTube videos on the Motorola i1 We show you the quick and easy way to download YouTube videos in MP4 format and save them on your SD card Published on Jul 27, 2010 Online videos are great. You can view them from just about anywhere, and much of the time, they're absolutely free. But at times, especially while on the go, connectivity can be a barrier between you and the video you want to see. When coverage-related issues arise, it's just handier to have the videos you want to watch stored right there on your memory card. If you have an Motorola i1, achieving this couldn't be easier with YouTube videos. In this guide, we show you how to locate the video you want and download it directly to you handset. 1. Navigate your phone's browser to the YouTube video you want to download 2. Click on the video's URL and use the Android Web browser to open it rather than the YouTube application 3. While in the browser, hit Menu and then Go To URL Here's where the magic happens. 4. The video's URL should be in the URL field. Place your cursor directly after the "www." and type in the word "pwn" before "youtube.com" The resulting link should look something like "http://www.pwnyoutube.com/videocode" 5. Hit Enter 6. Simply tapping the Download High Quality MP4 Video option on this page will download the MP4 file directly to your SD card Now you have the video you wanted stored on your device for viewing whenever you want, whether or not you have wireless coverage. 14) How to set up Google Voice voice-mail on the Motorola i1: Spoiler: click to toggle How to set up Google Voice voice-mail on the Motorola i1 We show you how to forward unanswered calls to Google Voice and have transcripts of your voice-mails delivered via email or SMS Published on Jul 27, 2010 Google Voice provides a wide variety of functions to users, but many people aren't looking to take advantage of all the features Google Voice affords. Even if simultaneous ringing and free SMS don't appeal to you, Google Voice can still be used as a great replacement for your carrier's standard voice-mail system. What's more, Google Voice offers a free voice-mail transcription service that uses voice-to-text to transcribe messages. Voice-mail transcriptions can then be delivered to you via email or SMS. In this guide, we show you how to set up Google Voice voice-mail on your Motorola i1 and configure the attached voice-mail transcription service. Activate Google Voice voice-mail on your Motorola i1 1. Log in to the Google Voice website and click Settings in the top right corner 2. Locate the phone you wish to activate voice-mail for and click Activate Google voice-mail on this phone 3. On your Motorola i1, dial *28-xxx-xxx-xxxx# (where xxx-xxx-xxxx is your Google Voice phone number) and press Call 4. A forwarding confirmation will be displayed on your screen 5. On the Google Voice website, click Done Configure voice-mail transcriptions and delivery 1. Log in to the Google Voice website and click Settings in the top right corner 2. Click on the Voice-mail & SMS tab 3. Next to "Voice-mail Notifications", check the box next to Email the message to and select an email address to receive your voicemail transcriptions via email 4. Beneath "Send a text (SMS) message to", check the box next to each cell phone on which you want to receive SMS voice-mail transcriptions 5. Next to Voice-mail Transcripts, check the box next to Transcribe Voice-mails 6. Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen That's it! Google Voice will now replace your Sprint voice-mail, and it will deliver transcriptions of each message via email or SMS. If at any point you wish to deactivate Google Voice voice-mail, simply dial *38 on your Motorola i1 and press Call. This will deactivate all call forwarding and the Motorola i1 will use the standard voice-mail system once again. 15) Not able to send text message's / Issue's receiving text messages Spoiler: click to toggle This is one that I figured out on my own.. Did you unlock your i1 and you can no longer send text message's? Can you not receive text message's? Can you not receive or send text message's? More then likely you will need to do a feature reset.. However before doing so try to send your self a text message to "PUSH" message's to your account.. Sounds odd but it works in most cases.. However if that doesn't work then a feature reset is in the works A feature reset will not clear all your apps or your contacts or anything form your phone as how Master clear [hard reset] would.. All feature reset does is put all your phone's settings back to the default state as how it was when you first bought your phone.. So lets get right down to it: 1) Go to "SETTINGS" 2) Go to "SD card & Phone Storage" 3) Go to "Feature Reset (click it)" 4) Enter 000000 (6 zero's) as the pass-code Phone should reboot.. send a message your your self.. It should go through.. Have a bud send a message.. It should go through as well.. Thats all there is to it.. If you have further issues with text messages it may be a wise idea to bitch at Moto or your service provider 16) How to do a Factory Reset (phone will be like how it was when you first bought it) Spoiler: click to toggle Here's another one I found out the hard way
Ever wanted to just start from scratch sense your i1 is all kinds of fucked up?.. Just have an issue with your phone where a "HARD RESET" just wont do?.. Try this: 1. Turn phone off 2. Hold the Volume Up/Down button, Green button, and Center button at the same time. 3. Without letting go of the buttons, press the Red power button. 4. When the phone comes on to the Motorola symbol, let go of all of the buttons. The phone will turn off and back on by itself. 5. Done Take note that any apps/contacts on your sim or anything that was on your phone WILL BE DELETED.. This is a great way to turn your phone back to stock in case you ever sell your phone Many user's get "HARD RESET" & "FACTORY RESET" mixed up.. Hard Reset pretty much does what Factory Reset does however if there are bugs or big issue's within your phone Hard Reset will still leave those issue's there more then likely.. A Factory Reset will pretty much FORMAT your whole phone back to factory unrapping specs.. In short the phone will be just like how it was when you turned it on for the first time This is not the case with Hard Reset in many cases.. However try a Hard Reset first and if issues still remain do a Factory Reset Edited by scootincivic, February 16, 2011, 10:09 pm.
