Okay, before we can get any thing else off the ground, we need races. From races, we divvy into countries, from countries we can set up a map, fro mthere we can flesh out and set up cultures and race back stories. Right now we have the Pensadorians (scientist/steampunk people), the Cambiars (Liberta natives), Humans, and Drugobosk. Zak presented a mermaid race to me, I like it but the Committee hasn't made a decision on it. To Trevor: Have you made a decision about the goblins yet? Also, can you give admin privileges to all four us? |

I did indeed confirm that my Goblin/Troll tribals will be a part of this. Also, I would like my Undead to be included, simply because they're awesome. As far as makin' everyone admin, I'll admin-ify everyone when they make their account, which is all of us but Orga(forgot to send him the link, I'll do that now). As for the mermaid part, Im fairly certain I've already told Zak I like his idea, so...Ja. |

Mermaid?! MERMAID??!!?!? You won't find a more badass 'mermaid' race than the Leesheek! I'm working on a... fairly reptilian race. When I have made it fully I'll link it. Edited by Cardonian_Kaiser, Mar 25 2011, 01:52 AM.

Cool. What's a Prussian? Also, we should have roving nomad tribes of werewolves. |

Prussians were a group of Germans who are from Prussia (duh). They were known to be very honor-bound and warlike. I still don't really like the idea of the werewolves. |

Alright here's a couple from me: Ignis Lizards In the damp caves and swampy areas of Scaena, luminescent fungi are indicators of save food for the animals and Thinking People of the world. Several different edible mushrooms exist that glow in a variety of colors. Most animals see these lights as a safe place to feed... Unless there's an Ignis lizard nearby. Ignis lizards have glowing stripes and spots on their body which camouflage them in the dark to blend in with the glowing fungus. Most animals are attracted to these lights, and well they feed to lizards strike, getting a meal of their own. This baiting tactic makes them an effective predator, And they grow with the size of the mushroom field. So the bigger the patch of mushrooms, the bigger the lizard. 8 foot man eating Ignis lizards have been reported in some of the large, underground Shrub caves, although some have been known to grow even bigger. Permaya bugs A race of small beetles with extravagant and varied colors. When ground up whole, their pulp can e turned into a variety of gels, paints, and dyes, which are famed for their vivid color and in most cases are completely permanent, hence their name. Found all over the Scaena. Furies (Originally going to be on Zed back on SP, interestingly enough.) The furies are an unusual race of Thinking People, they own little of their own land. They're desert roaming nomads, and as their name suggests they are a fierce people with a surprisingly well developed culture. They are average height, and human looking with tanned skin. The males of the species have tough, leathery skin which defends against minor cuts and the hard sandy weather, and quills which grow on their head and arms. The females have soft skin, and are much paler than the others, with soft, downy hair on their heads, and feet. The species generally have differing shades of brown eyes, but blue eyes are sometimes, rarely, seen. To them it's a symbol of great fortune, and blue eyed children are granted special privileges. Quill color for males is dark and earthy, however, during puberty warrior ceremonies undertaken by all males of the race, ground up Permaya bugs are turned into dyes for the quills of the young warriors. Females hair is shockingly bright from birth, the main hues being red, blue, and green, with many colors in between. These trait are not concrete for either sex, which leads to a horrific double standard. Males born with downy hair are killed, if they're born with the pale soft skin of the females they are raised similarly to females. However, females possessing any male traits, whether it be the quills or the skin are raised as males, and are treated with a great deal of respect. (I have a lot of their culture worked out, but I'll post it at a later time when we get to the next phase.) |
