I like both of these... They seem unique without being too strange.

Yeah, I thought we were going to be avoiding cliche races?
When was that decided? And also, I've came up with a way to keep them from being your average cliche werewolves. Also they're hardly cliche, there's been like....maybe five well known werewolf movies: Werewolf of London, The Wolfman(1941), An American Werewolf in London, An American Werewolf in Paris, and The Wolfman(2010). Now yes they are on of the three monsters people turn to for SciFi/Horror things but that doesn't make them cliche.

Yes, only a few well known movies. However, there are plenty of well known stories and things about them. They are very, very well know.

Not to mention twilight... And Casey we decided this at the very beginning, in the first meeting. You were there. We said we didn't want elves and dwarves and orcs and all the standard cliche races.

If he can make them sufficiently un-cliche, I honestly dont see a problem. After all, I do have my Goblin/Troll species.
Speaking of which...(continuing in another post, since Im not sure I'll finish in this one by the time I'll be locked out)

Goblins&Trolls:

The Goblins and Trolls of(whatever the world's name is) share a somewhat-symbiotic relationship with one another. The goblins, at one point in their history, took the less-intelligent Trolls under their wing, in order to better both peoples; the Goblins gained the brute strength of the Trolls, while the Trolls gained the leadership and intelligence of the Goblins. Goblins are small(around 2-3 feet tall), green-skinned peoples with somewhat exaggerated features(not ALWAYS exaggerated in a ugly fashion, though 'ugly' as seen by other species is common), whereas Trolls are large(taller than a human, at least, though not by all THAT much), gray-skinned-and-furred humanoids with thick, furry limbs and heads that could probably be defined as square.

While one might think the relationship between the Goblins and Trolls is slavery and master, its truly far from it. The Goblins do indeed use the Trolls for menial tasks such as heavy lifting and generally things they wouldn't want to do, they genuinely care for the Trolls. Indeed, the Trolls are kept in specific buildings and aren't quite citizens of the Goblin Tribes they live in, but their Goblin caretakers value them as friends and comrades and the like. Due to the assimilation into goblin culture, Trolls are very kind and trusting of other peoples, though they remain severely lacking in intellect. As for Goblins, they may be small, but they are very crafty and keen individuals. While Goblins are not the most advanced or developed races, they dont really need to be; they have persevered this far in communion with nature, and using bows and arrows or spears, they simply dont see any reason to advance their civilization much further, and mainly stay as tribals.

Both goblins and Trolls have a form of magic, though they're different from each other. Goblins have potent Nature Magic that they can use at will, allowing them to use the earth or wildlife around them to attack their foes, whereas Trolls have a latent, subconscious magic which they do not entirely know they have. A Troll can use its own magic to augment its physical abilities, but not by will. Their magic can make them stronger, faster, tougher, ect, depending on the way they feel. They dont really KNOW they're doing it, but they do so when their emotions dictate it. For example, if a Troll was angry, the magic might make them able to smash a wall through like a battering ram without as much effort, while if a friend was in danger, they'd possibly be able to increase their speed to save them from it. Because of this, in the rare times of war the Goblins have, Trolls are typically the front-line soldiers, with Goblins riding on their backs or following them with arrows at the ready or spears prepared to stab. Again, however, these are infrequent, and Trolls dont typically like being in such situations.

Undead:

There are many different kinds of Undead, but most treat each other as one single race. This is because, however wrong the view may be, most other Thinking People view the Undead as mindless creatures hellbent on the eradication of all life, and so they're hunted down more often than not. Because of this, Undead usually band together for safety, with a few locations in particular being strongholds of them. (continued for this one, but Im out of time on the computer, so Im just gonna go ahead and post it anyways)

The Leeshek are a group of amphibious intelligent humanoids who live in several port cities along with their advanced ship flotilla. The flotilla contains several hundred ship of various sizes including both civilian and military vessels. The flotilla contains about 800 ships and contains over 3600 Leeshek. The other Leeshek either live in the giant crime infested floating city of Leecolian or are pirates who prey on merchant vessels.

The Leeshek are tall(about 6’4” on average), lean and normally have blue skin, black eyes and tentacled hair. Their nose are flat slits on their ace and their eye are bu little holes in the side of their head. On rare occasions there are Leeshek who have black skin and white, milky eyes. These beings are often seen as having special gifts and being blessed. Normally the males wear no shirts and only wear brown robes covering half their chests or fishscale breaches, which they find comfortable.

There are very few laws in Leeshek society and Leeshek are naturally prone to crime but not often good at sneaking. The Leesheck have highly advanced ships made of a metal called Skirium, which floats on water and is as hard as iron. The ships sail via air currents or are pulled by domesticated whales.

Werewolves

The werewolves of Liberta are all more or less descended from one man: Bobrick the Foul or Bob for short. Bob was what you'd call, an asshole. In fact, so much of an asshole was Bob that a wizard cursed him. Every month for the three days of the full moon Bob would turn into a horrific creature that would murder and destroy all in it's path (Kinda of a like a period but for men). This wizard was what we call: Fucking Retarded. So every night of the full moon Bob would transform and rampage upon the countryside and such forth. At least that's how the old legend goes. What we know for a fact is this: Werewolves are vicious creatures. Human for a majority of the year and hideous wolf creatures for the rest of it, werewolves are incredibly strong, able to tear down small buildings and rend armor to shreds with their claws. if one is bitten by a werewolf the curse is spread to them. They have the ability to heal all wounds no matter how grievous within days unless the injury is caused by a weapon made of silver. The only way to kill them is by stabbing them in the heart with a weapon made of silver of by beheading them with it. It's because of this that werewolves were once the most feared creatures in the land. Years and years ago the largest raider group that Liberta has ever seen was formed up of werewolves. Over the years hundreds of them had banded together and begun attacking settlements. It usually started off slow, a few caravans would turn up missing, a farm or two would be ransacked and burned and eventually it turned into a full out war against the unfortunate village. On the full moon the wolves would attack en masse and completely destroy the village, slaughtering most and kidnapping a few to increase their ranks. this went on for years until one day a village made a shocking discovery, they could be harmed or even killed by silver. After this discovery the village sent news to the other surviving villages and together, they schemed. After the wolves next attack they tracked the creatures back to their hovel. Then they and their armies attacked with newly forged silver weapons. The werewolves, caught off guard were decimated. Though they fought back viciously they were ultimatly defeated and banished to the deserts. Now they are a broken, inbred, nomadic race never staying in one place for longer than a few days. In their travels their travels through the deserts they have found remnants of an ancient civilization with technology far superior than any currently available in Liberta. If only they could get it to work!

Okay, so it's not as organized as I want it to be but it's all there for the most part. Also, the alien tech thing is just for looks, there will be no laser rifle wielding werewolves. Well, maybe as clubs.

Questions? Critiscism? (be gentle)

So, they are on the new continent of Liberta then? And have been on it for hundreds of years despite the fact that it has only been settled and known about for maybe 50 years?
