Crickey it seems ages since I have typed anything in here about what I have done I have been spring cleaning the house of sorts just giving everything that more thorough deep clean that usual. I have spent time clearing away leaves that have been blown about by the strong winds we have been having. I am on top of the washing. I did two loads today and the laundry basket is completely empty Yay I did five loads on Tuesday because it was glorious sunshine and got it all dry which saved on tumble drying. The Dyson cleaner is on top form and the carpets are looking way so much much better for the new filters. I am really pleased with it because it performs like a new cleaner now, whereas before it was a nightmare in fact Charlie had apart so many times. The suction on it is great. Biff and Saffy are moulting so I have been brushing them extra. I finished off my last voucher for a £6.00 off a shop at Tesco's this week so I shall probably go to Sainsbury's next week to see if I can get more I really now need to get the car cleaned - it's ramming with muck and you can just about see the rear number plate - very bad I know that is a priority for next week now.

Like Lorraine I have a 'new' dyson. Got new filters and it's fantastic now. The amount of fluff that it now gets off the rug in the living room. The suction is so much better, it actually lift up the rug at the edges. Afterwards it's all bouncy where it's been pulled up. Today I have been to the 'music and movement' session at the sure start centre which is just practically across the road from me. My sister and my nephew have started joining me for the past few weeks. Then this afternoon I went shopping, first time I have been food shopping on my own with Belle in the trolley. Went well, although someone kept reaching and grabbing stuff from in the trolley! Have got friends coming over for lunch tomorrow, so looking forward to that. |

Lorraine & Nat, which Dysons have you got? I need a new one, with Charlie being short haired it's really hard to pick up his hairs from the carpet with the one I have now,, although the lead is about 2 miles long so it goes everywhere! Going to B7Q today, looking for wallpaper although as it all seems flowery at the moment doubt we'll get any. Hope everyone has a great weekend. |

FB Nat and I have the uprights, both Animals but Nat is a DC07 and mine is a DC14 which was the newer version of the Animal range. It's a swizz really with those HEPA filters they say they last a lifetime but they don't. Once you change the HEPA filter and also the yellow filter (some are located in the bottom side others are in the top above the collection box) you will see a radical difference. My filters with postage ended up costing around £50.00 or thereabouts. Having said that when you offset the fact that these Dysons are over £200.00 for a new macine there is a saving there of £150.00. There is no reason with the changing of these filters that I cannot get another five years of useage out of it

I am loving hoovering now it's working properly! It's like an obsession to see just how much fluff is in the cylinder after each time!! Been a good day today. Had some friends come over for lunch. I used to work with them both and they got together while we worked at Maidstone Borough Council and they got married a couple of years ago. We are bad at arranging to see one another, so probably see one another a couple of times a year. Ahhhhhhhhh! I've got 'yankee doodle came to town' going round in my head now. It's one of the damn tunes on one of Belle's toys! Bet it's rubbed off on at least one of you now! ha ha ha! |

Thanks Lorraine, Mr FB's mam usually manages to get Dysons at the car bot sales when she's in Yorkshire, o I will ask her to keep an eye out. She got my current one from a car boot sale, it was used in hotels which apparently is why the lead is so long. I've seen Dyson filters in pound shops occasionally, or shops like Home Bargains so it might be worth while checking in there every so often. |

Sue I've got a handheld one. They are fantastic. They don't last very long on each charge, maybe 3 minutes say, but they suck almost as strong as a big Dyson, so worth it I think. Much better than the 'dustbuster' type ones. I use mine for getting the bits up in the kitchen, and just getting odd bits off the floor, which usually appear as soon as I have hoovered! |
