So it was nearly a meet the fire brigade type barbie then seriously it's no joke when you have a pyromanic about I did three loads of washing last night and pegged the lot out this morning. I went to Bourton On the Water this afternoon and it was jam packed I have never seen the place soooo busy. I bought a couple of crystal necklaces, nothing extravagant, but they are stones cost about £4.95 or thereabouts Washing was all dried when I got back home. The days are lovely but the evenings are still quite cold so heating is back on now trying to cut down on the heatings use especially after the winter we all had

The best news about this weather we are all enjoying is not having to have the central heating on - thats a bonus especially to the bank account

Hello everyone, long time no see! I have been pretty busy and not had a lot of time to come on here! Naughty me! Well not an awful lot happening, just work and being at home. Always busy! I now have a toddler rather than a baby, as Belle has started walking. She's still quite wobbly but she's getting there. She can manage to walk about half way across the living room/dining room. We went and got her first pair of proper shoes at the weekend, getting her measured for them. Can you believe it's less than 3 weeks til she is 1. I can't believe how quickly the year has gone! We are rapidly fitting baby locks to various drawers and cupboards as she works out how to open them! I now have to switch the washing machine off at the main wall switch as she managed to press the on/off button, then the start button on it the other day, when it was empty! I don't think it was intentional, but she managed it! The weather's been lovely hasn't it! At the weekend I got a lot done in the garden, tidying up and planting plants. Am growing more veg this year. Got some spring onions and carrots planted out ( I bought them as little seedlings) I have grown some tomatoes from seed. Got strawberry plants and also some pepper plants. Hopefully we will get some good crops! Well better go, someone will be wanting their breakfast in a minute! |

Happy Easter everyone, hope you all have a good time with no fire engines or muddy dogs : ) It's been lovely the last few days, can't believe it's only April, would be nice if it stayed like this all summer but that's a bit too much to hope for. I won £100 from Full House mag yesterday so am very happy. Mr FB isn't happy, he's been called for jury service which has always been one of his biggest dreads. Anyway, going to sort my cleaning cupboard out now.............but might just have a brew first and forget about it, lol. |

It is lovely weather isn't it FB! I have to keep reminding myself it's only April! What happened to April showers? I saw on the news last night that we have only had 4% of the average rainfall this month. (well it was for the southeast) I can see a hosepipe ban looming at this rate. Still I am loving being able to put washing out, I haven't used the airer for weeks! This morning I have washed our summer weight duvet in the machine, it's just a 2.5 tog one so it fits in. It says on the lable to get it proffessionally laundered and tumble dried, which I don't have! So hoping it dries ok out on the line. Well done for winning £100 FB, that's good. I hope you buy yourself something nice! I have so many jobs that need doing and just not enough time to do them all. Next week we are both off all week, so Tuesday we are going to take Belle into nursery (we have to pay for it regardless if she goes in or not so might aswell get our money's worth) and our plan is to do a massive clean. Hopefully will get lots done as won't have Belle 'in the way' to hinder us. Well she's asleep now so should get on with something. Think I might try and tackle the mountain of ironing. Just wait, as soon as I get the ironing board out she'll wake up! Have a lovely weekend everyone! and Happy Easter! |

I've never done the held held ones so I cannot tell you if they are any good Been so warm this last few days but the boon is I have been able to get all the washing dreid no bother. Lots of dust and blossom blowing about though which is getting round the front door areas. Been in Northumberland for two days looking at houses - I have got some ideas now and what we can afford and we have to set the wheels in motion to get this place sold. I just cannot keep on in a place that was mum and dad's home, I need to make my own place and I know they will understand that. It was seven years yesterday since mum had died. I bought some really lovely flowers and they looked so good on the grave I was chuffed in a strange sort of a way. I kind of felt mum had a hand in picking them at least as they were not the ones I usually bought. Charlie got the lawns cut today and did some trimming up of the hedges as well. Everything has so bloomed out these last few days with all the good weather we are having I have been keeping a regular check on the gas meter readings. Normally with weather sucvh as this on the old boiler I would use two units a week - just keeping the tank full of hot water. With the combi it is three units a week but we also have the shower which runs off the boiler now and we use that allot so all things considered (and the fact that the old shower was electric too) I think it will even out somewhere in the long run.
