Never had the need to use a hand held one so I can't say. Blimey FB I didn't know that those filters were in Poundshops. I paid quite a bit for ours but they are Dyson branded. I shall have to keep an eye out. Mind you, you know those vacuum bags they crop up in Poundland allot and they are brilliant. I use mine for storing my summer stuff and they save so much space. Just a reminder to tell you that the Wizz leather cleaner spray I am still using and the sofas and chairs have never looked better. Also still using Xanto carpet mousse which shifts marks off the carpet so I am still recommending those to everybody

the filters in pound shops are usually the ones for the DC01 and 2. Never seen any of the sponge type. |

That sounds about right MR probably those are the ones that don't sell very well. Although you could buy the sponge, it's the outer plastic casing that costs the money I am going to try and get the car cleaned tomorrow it really does need it and to be honest I am ashamed to say I haven't cleaned it since before Christmas I also need to clean the inside out as well as it has bits from the horses such as straw strands and what not.Just thought I would let you all know there is an early warning of snow towards the weekend. The weatherman on the BBC hinted that tonight. He said it is going to get colder towards the weekend which would bring snow but they will let us know more as it progresses

I've got two Dyson Animals! I had one which the motor burned out (too much use I think) and they couldn't fix it for a week so I went out and got another one and had a new motor in the old one. I looked at all the models but the ones I have had the highest suction and with all our animals I need it. We use the old one as a spare for all family and friends, can't be without a vacuum cleaner for more than a day. |

I know I said I was going to get the car cleaned today, but it started raining, so I am now going to do it tomorrow, and the housework which I was going to do tomorrow I have done today instead. I have done four loads of washing today, two of which is for the dogs bedding and towels. I have checked the weather for tomorrow and at least it is going to be dry Still no forum

We had ice on the road (and on our cars) yesterday. It is slightly warmer today but could turn again any time. We're getting new laptops at work at the moment and while they're transferring all the data, we have to use pen and paper - SO retro :-D. |

Pens and paper? What's that?? LOL! Belle's round at Nana's again today. I've been to get my hair cut. I don't think it had been cut for about 6 months so was in need of some tlc. It had got well long, it was halfway down my back, so have had about 5 inches cut off it. A few layers round the front, which the hairdressers suggested having. Because I have got all these stupid wispy baby re-growth round the front of my hairline from when my hair fell out after having Belle, so that way they will not look as silly when it grows. It's still past my shoulders - I have to be able to tie it up which I do 99% of the time anyway, as it's grabbed otherwise! Plus it should make it a little easier when I go back to work, if I need to wash it in the morning. Just going to finish my lunch then I will get to making a batch of Belle dinners, which I freeze into portions. It's a veg and mince pasta sauce. I am lucky she will eat anything I give her. Her favourite thing is yogurt though! |

It is set to get colder apparently. We have had a couple of cold mornings too. I go thte car cleaned yesterday inside and out, but I never got round to waxing the car as it was so cold and damp and the wax wouldn't have set having said that it is clean which is something.Have a rotten cold which Charlie brought home from work (they have all had it apparently). Very annoying, using Sudafed but it is making me very drowsy
