Time to post some screenshots of a project that I will be working on for the next couple of years. It will be most of the tri state area (NY, NJ, and CT). I will build most of the counties and suburbs that you would see in these states. This project will be broken down into stages. The first stage of the project will be the Metro North East of the Hudson service (Hudson, Harlem, New Haven line and it's branches) along with the Beacon and Maybrook railroads. There is alot more to the project so here is a summary of what will be included in this project. It will include the Metro North Railraod (EOH and WOH), Maybrook line, Beacon line, Amtrak, NEC, Amtrak empire connection, Acela, LIRR, NJT, CSX, NY&A, CP, Oak point line, CSX river line, New England Railroad (Naugatuck) Grand Central Terminal, Penn Station, Sunnyside yard, Hellgate bridge, and alot more. I will also be doing the For now, this is being done on my laptop, but hopefully soon, once I get a desktop that can run trainz even better, I'll add alot more detail. I will also be making the elevated portions of the NYCTA subway, or EL, Once I get a dekstop, I'll try to build the underground tunnels and stations, which means, taking out some of the streets, and replacing them by adding a ceiling, then putting back those roads. My goal for this project is to include good detail that looks close to what you would see in real life, and get decent amount of fps so it will be mostly smooth instead of laggy. I am trying to keep the frames above 15. Here are some of the first pics of this project.![]() Metro North M6 on track 4 at Harlem 125th street station. Time for some new screens. Alot more work has been done. All track work and most of the signal work is complete from 129th street to 105th street, and alot more scenery is put in. The pics will speak for themselves:D ![]() Stone masonry elevated tracks by 105th street and Park Avenue. ![]() Track junctions and signals have been placed. Since the Amtrak genny's don't have an emergency escape door on their nose, they cannot operate into GCT without being towed. Now, the New Haven P32ac-dm will tow this Amtrak consist to Yonkers and then the Amtrak consist will continue it's journey up the Hudson while the New Haven genny goes back to tow more Amtrak consist's. ![]() R46 subway car playing the role of a Metro North M3 making it's way to Harlem 125th street station on track 4. Status Update: Just completed all the track work between the Fordham Station and Botanical Gardens Station. Now we need some more scenery between these two stations and we'll have an awesome Metro North route. Here are some screenshots on the EOH Harlem and New Haven lines. Some more screenshots have arrived. I am really trying to not add too much detail. They are going to be used on the AMT service. Notice Fordham University on the small hill.![]() Metro North Shoreliner III's at Fordham Station.

We now have some screenshots everyone. These screenshots for the Major Tri State Area Project take place on Amtrak's West side line between the George Washington Bridge and Inwood, Manhattan. So far, on my Dell laptop with Integrated Graphics, this route is running pretty smooth with all the trees close to the roads and tracks. When I am route building, that is when it begins to lag but I think that happens to most route builders. Well, here are the screens. ![]() Amtrak P32AC-DM hauling some Amfleet coaches bound for Penn Station. This is just south of Dyckman under the Henry Hudson Parkway. ![]() Rear shot of the above Amtrak consist. ![]() What a surprise. Here, we have a 1990's set which consists of an FL9 and horizon coaches bound for Yonkers. ![]() Viewing a lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge from the Hudson River. |

Here are some more screenshots of the Major Tri State Area Project. So far, all of my screenshots are from when I worked with Trainz on my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator. There is a good amount of detail on the Major Tri State Area Project so I can only reach a maximum of 22 or 23 fps and a minumum of 4 or 5fps. So far, Amtrak's west side line from George Washington Bridge-Inwood is complete and the Hudson line from University Heights-Marble Hill is complete. This laptop has served me well with trainz for the last 3 years but now, it is time to upgrade to a better piece of equipment. After these screenshots of the project, I won't post any screenshots for a couple of weeks because I will be working on building a new gaming PC that will hopefully handle the next version up from trainz 2009 which would be 2010 flawlessly or as smooth as butter.. Power Supply: Ultra Limited Edition 700W ATX power supply Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 black edition boxed processor @3.4Ghz Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AM3+AMD 970 Sata 6GB/s, USB 3.0 ATX motherboard Graphics Card: 1GB EVGA GTX 550Ti Fermi, 900 or 951Mhz core clock RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 RAM Hard Drive: Seagate Barracude 1TB 7200RPM hard drive System Case: Z9 ATX mid tower case Once the computer is complete, then I will continue Here are the specs for my new budget gaming PC that will run the Major Tri StateArea Project in Trainz 2010. Anywho, trainz 2009 WBE is no longer in revenue service on my laptop. Anywho, here are the screenshots. What does everyone think? ![]() EMD SD60 at idle with some rusted grafitti BN freight cars near University Heights ![]() What a suprise, testing NJT P40BH wit a mixture of NJT comet III coach and Comet IV cab car where the good ol Putnam Line merges from the Hudson line. ![]() Ultra rare in trainz, a Metro North at University heights after coming from a Yankee game.
