That's true. You want to kill your time without having to worry about anything else. Series like TLS have changed that to a degree.

I just watched the trailer.

It seems like I'm going to be disappointed again. Con's games have been going downhill steadily, I feel.

Why, you ended disappointed with Union City?

Yes. Very short, horrible ending, graphics seemed worse than Last Stand 2, gameplay was repetitive, etc.

If you ask me, the gameplay of 1 and 2 were more repetitive. Plus, you have to admit the zombies in 3 look more real than those in 1 and 2. Union City was longer than the first two games, even Con stated that. If you ask me, the only bad thing about 3 was the ending.

The ending was indeed awkward. However you're pretty pessimistic, Sin. Union City was certainly not like the rest TLS games however it was a trully nicely done game, graphis were outstanding and, yes, the game was shorter than we come to expect.

Dead Zone, on the other hand, looks okay. It steers too far away from the usual TLS perspective which made it look cool, the 2D profile perspective.

Well, I'm pretty excited. I was hoping for a next game.

An beta for this game is set for release any time this month. Con hasn't stated whether it will be open or closed beta, but did say that there will be several betas the next few months.

I'm assuming the full game will have a summer release like Union City did.

Okay, never mind about the type of beta. Con said this in a facebook comment

There'll be an early access period at some point for people who're fans of the Last Stand page, so make sure you go and Like that page.

Now I wish I had a facebook page...

I wish I had too. Just for Dead Zone.

Make one and just like Dead Zone then. Whether or not it's a genuine profile isn't really important.
