Just is the Law. Just is the Word. Just is the Judgment.
 *  *
Coming before the Council, a Judge may request a Writ for special extra-judicial powers. A valid reason and, in some cases, a donation may be required.

A writ will always take the form of a signed document, and display the name of an approving Conciliator. Some especially dangerous Words require writs to legally perform.
Quote:

Writ of Investigation
The Writ of Investigation permits a Judge to search a single, pre-designated property or any civilian without the civilian or owner's permission.

Writ of Punishment
The Writ of Punishment allows a Judge to use the Word of Pain on criminals.

Writ of Free Speech
The Writ of Free Speech permits a Judge to speak third-level Commands, usually for a designated amount of time or during a specific event.

Writ of Training
Generally the first Writ issued to any individual Judge, this licenses them to request training from designated Judges, and is given to new applicants upon the conclusion of their trial.

Writ of Possession
The Writ of Possession, when held, allows a Judge to keep and use otherwise unconventional or illegal items. Each individual Writ of Possession allows for a single illegal or unconventional item, so a Judge must apply more than once if he wishes to possess more than one such item.

Writ of Final Judgment
Possession of this Writ allows administration of the death sentence.

These above-mentioned Writs are the most commonly requested, but not the only ones that may be condoned by the Council.

Below is a list of Writs available to the public.
Quote:

Writ of Arms
This Writ allows an individual to bear arms as weapons, and is usually easily acquired with the aid of a donation to a judicial office.  A skinner would not be penalized for carrying a knife, but may require a Writ of Arms to wear a sword belt and blade, for instance.

Writ of Importance
Possessing a Writ of Importance elevates a civilian beyond their general Level 0 status, or other such figure one level above their current status. Judges are more inclined to excuse petty misdemeanors of higher-level individuals.

Writ of Approval
Possessing a Writ of Approval allows said individual and his or her party to take part in Bounty-based hunts for other individuals targeted by the Law Faction.  Each must be signed by a Conciliator for approval before a Bounty hunt can begin and all suspects must be returned to the Conciliator which signed the Writ.  For more information on Bounties see the Office of Outside Jurisdictions in Ardo-Ash.

Writ of Immunity
A difficult Writ to acquire, the Writ of Immunity gives a righteous individual the license to avert other Writs that may be called into action before them, or to use as a mulligan for one crime committed.  It is good for only one use and very rarely issued.

Any individual
may submit a request for other special permissions from the Council, and the Library of Writs will be updated accordingly.
