The rain fell gently as it usually did along the well build cobblestone roads. The stones and water had always been able to catch Nathaniel’s gaze since he was a little kid, their complexities providing much more character then any gravel or even a well paved road could offer. With a gravel road, there was no art, no skill. It was rock upon rock upon dust. Simple, and easy. Both too simple and too easy. Then there were bricks, but they were rectangular and perfect, too easy to work with. They were just layer over layer of the exact same thing, almost hypnotic. But this cobblestone road, full of imperfect pieces brought together with mortar… It had a story to tell. The water that flowed around each curve added a shimmer that made it almost beautiful. Or perhaps he was over thinking it. He always over thought things. His gaze rose from the road to the people who walked around, though avoiding him. He started walking away from the Ordos Building, having just delivered a petty thief to his new cell. It had been a long day, and the sun was setting on District 416. The rain that fell on his armor would burn his skin after prolonged exposure if he would allow it to hit him. The dull sounds of the drops on his helm were lost to him by this point, as the sound of the rain itself was more familiar then quietness. The people today were quiet, and went along their way covered by their thick umbrellas, not making eye contact with the large judge that walked down the middle of the road, quickly moving to the right to allow anyone with any sort of cart could pass. Of course none were there currently, but neither was any person. Nathaniel faded in with the passersby that were there. The faces of those around him were dull. Everything was dull. Except the road, of course. It’s not that he was in a bad mood or the day wasn’t going well; he was just sort of bored with his current circumstances. He did feel like he was making a difference, and he did feel fulfilled in his work, but a change would be nice. Perhaps even a challenge, either physically or mentally. He sighed heavily and stretched his back and shoulders within his armor, improving his posture as he thought of something to do to make his current situation better. He could be proactive, after all. His mind began to wander as he walked back to his beat without much thought. |

A piercing scream is heard coming from around a corner ahead and a women comes running around it yelling for someone to help. Seeing the Judge she runs up to him out of breath panic stricken across her face. "Please sir you need to help this man his holding this women at knife point. He says he is going to kill her please come quick." The women then goes dashing back around the corner she came from before screaming again as she catches just a glimpse of the mans leg as he darts down another alleyway. One the ground in front of her is a women lying on the ground choking and grasping with her hands at her throat. The man that was holding her at knife point having had enough slashed the side of her throat and left her on the ground while running off. The wound appears that it could be fatal if it does not receive immediate attention. "Oh my god why did he have to do this to her." The women that ran up to the judge becomes hysterical and finally falls to the ground as she faints. |

Nathaniel's eyes eyes narrow under his helm, instantly slapped out of his boredom by the revaluation brought fourth by this citizen. He picked up his walking speed, though running was not an option. It never was, for him. He rounded the corner just in time to see the aforementioned persons, though the situation had taken a turn for the worse. His mind slowed down, examining the situation quickly, just as he turned the corner. "Assault and possible Burglary, depending on the motivation. Class B and possible C. Up to 6 days in prison and up to $575 in fines. If I chase him, I will undoubtably lose him, and most likely turn assault into murder. If I stay and tend to the woman, I will have two witnesses as to the man guilty of this crime, with will probably give me a better chance of eventually catching him as opposed to trying to track him down on foot." He took a knee by the woman, removing his helmet and gantlets quickly. Quickly reaching around the woman, he opened her umbrella and propped it up over his shoulder, holding it with his head as he smiled at her. "I am Nathaniel of the Judges, I will help you. I need to to calm down and take deep breathes for me. Focus on staying awake and breathing." The acidic rain was no longer falling into her wound, which was sure to help. He quickly ripped a piece of her coat off of her, removing a canteen from his side and rinsing off the clothe and then her wound. She grimaced in pain as the cleansing water rushed over her wound. "Sorry, it is for your good ma'am." He applied pressure to the wound gently, trying to stop the flow of blood without chocking the poor woman. It was then that he looked up to the few civilians gathering at the entrance of the alleyway. "Unless any of you know standard medical care or have the proper tools to help on you, please go and find a doctor and another judge! Preferably a smaller one then I." He was hoping they would comply, or else he would have to move her to someone who could help, which he wanted to avoid. |

One of the citizens nodded at Nathaniel and ran off to try and find another Judge and a doctor. Luckily that search wasn't a long one as he ran around a corner smack dab into the chest of a man in a long coat. This man just happened to be the Judgemaster on his way to the farthest quarter. Judgemaster Crowely reaches out and steadies the man so he doesn't fall over before peaking to him. "What is the rush sir is everything alright?" The man looked up at Crowely and the color almost drained from his face. "Sorry sir but a judge sent me to find help for a women that has been attacked. He said to find another judge and a doctor, he is just down this alleyway sir." Vladamir looked down at the man and nodded, "I want you to go and find a doctor right away like the man said then I want you to go down to the precinct and tell them to send out another judge and give them this so they know you are telling the truth." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper with a seal on it. Once the man had the paper he went off running and Vladamir then walked around the corner and down the Alleyway the man had come from. As he approached he took not of the judge hovering over the women applying pressure to her apparent wound. "What is the situation, and where is your partner Judge?" He knew that chances where good this was a solo walker patrol s3eeing as some areas still had yet to get enough new judges to bolster up to the 2-3 judge patrols. This was something he had been working on fixing but some of the new registrants were not judge material. |

"Judgemaster Crowley!" Nathaniel was obviously surprised as he looked up as much as he could without abandoning the woman. Where was his partner? He didn't have one yet, unfortunately. Perhaps that would have alleviated some of his boredom from earlier. Not that it had lasted very long. "I have no partner, sir. As for the situation, this woman was assaulted with a knife by a man who fled as I approached. I believe he turned right at the end of the alleyway, though I cannot be sure. I am not one for running down criminals; I possess another skill set. This woman here and the other that has fainted over there are witnesses and can provide us some context and a description, I'm sure. She has sustained an injury to her neck, though I believe I have her sustained for the moment, though I have sent for a doctor. I do not know why this attack happened, first impressions are perhaps a robbery or attempted sexual assault, which seems more likely. We will once she is in a position to speak again, I suppose." He went over everything in his mind, making sure he had covered everything. "I believe that is all I know, sir." |

Judgemaster Crowely went over the situation in his mind as the Judge gave him all the information. "Well Son you made the right choice in choosing to save this woman's life rather then purse a man that you have no clue as to what he looked like. I want you to wait with her till the doctor arrives to take care of the wounds. If the other women should regain consciousness then get a statement from her. Once that is done and you have both statements take them your office and have them put in for a bounty." The Judgemaster then looked around then back at the young man before continuing. "Once you have done all that I want you to report to the head office tomorrow afternoon so that way we can look into your assignment and see about getting you paired up with a partner. The doctor should be here soon as well as another Judge from the local office. I must take my leave since you have the situation under control and I don't have enough information to make an accurate arrest. By the way what is your name so that I can set up your meeting properly tomorrow?" As the Crowely finished his question the doctor came around the corner and looked around at the two women before moving over to examine the women that Nathaniel was tending too. "She is lucky that you applied pressure and called me when you did. This wound is potentially fatal and she could have bled out quickly had you not been so quick Judge." The doctor then began pulling bandages and other tools from his bag to tend to the woman. |

Some time later... Nathaniel had done as he was told, as was standard procedure. Eventually the emotional woman did wake to give a general description, followed by the other women. Apparently it was an attempted sexual assault, though the man panicked when a woman spotted him dragging her into the ally and she said she was going find a judge. Luckily the victim recognized the man as being an acquaintance of her husbands, who matched the description the first woman had given them. After some quick confirmation and legwork, two judges were sent after the fugitive after a bounty was placed. Satisfied with the outcome and Judgemaster Crowley's observation, he made his was through the head office, leading to room he was told Crowley would be at the moment. As he approached the room he cleared his throat and knocked on the doorframe, peeking around to try and locate the Judgemaster. "Judgemaster Crowley? It is Nathaniel, we spoke yesterday after a crime had occured not far from here." He felt the need to introduce himself because he was not wearing his helmet, so both his general appearance and his voice would be different. |
