Welcome to the official Connect Gaming
Nintendo E3 Conference Topic!

I will be bringing you news about the new nintendo games and of course their new home console live! While I edit the second post in this topic and adding in everything they announce. The topic name will have "LIVE:" edited next to it to tell you that the conference is being aired and I will then begin posting the news. Until then here are a few questions you might want to know that I have already answered.

What is the Nintendo Conference?
If you don't know by now this conference will be shown live with Nintendo unveiling their new products.

What are they revealing this year?
They haven't confirmed everything but they have said they will reveal the following this year. The successor to the wii currently named as Project Cafe. There have been some names rumoured already such as the Nintendo Feel, Nintendo Stream or just Nintendo. The name will hopefully be revealed on the day. The legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will also be shown just like last year and maybe we will get to find out when it will be released. A new Super Mario game has also been confirmed for the 3DS and its been confirmed that the famous Raccoon suit will return to the game.

Where can I watch it?
One place where you can watch it is on the official Nintendo website. Click here to go to their E3 page and don't forget to bookmark it if you do want to watch it!

When does the conference start?
The Nintendo conference begins on Tuesday June 7th. Look below for what time it starts depending on which area you live in.

United States (Pacific): 0900
United States (Eastern): 1200
United Kingdom: 1700
Europe: 1800
Australia (EST): 0200 June 8th

A thank you needs to go to Kotaku for telling us the time for each one. Click here if you want to see the timezone sheet they made.

=================================================================================================
Thats all for now. Tomorrow will be an exciting day for me and I hope for you too. Like I stated above in case your forgot I will be posting the news in the second post in this topic live. Thanks for reading.

First of all I just want to point out that my firefox kept crashing during the nintendo conference and my laptop bluescreened so I will post what I saw and hopefully edit in things I missed. If I do miss anything please let me know and I'll add it in.

First of all Nintendo started with an orchestra playing with clips of the Legend of Zelda series. Finishing off with brand new footage of Skyward Sword and now has a release for Holiday 2011! Skyward Sword will also come with a gold coloured Wiimote Plus. Click here to watch the new footage.

In honour of the Legend of Zelda's 25th Anniversary Nintendo have also said that Links Awakening will be avaliable on the 3DS virtual console today! Four Swords will be avaliable on DSiWare in September for free and playing in certain parts of the world will be a Zelda 25th Anniversary orchestra.

Moving onto the 3DS games finally after a long wait a sequal to Luigi's Mansion has been announced and will be avaliable on the handheld. It will feature more than one mansion unlike the previous game. Click here to watch the trailer.

A short video (Watch the trailer here) of the new Super Mario 3DS game was shown with a release of the 2011 Holiday and so will Mario Kart 3DS and you will be able to customise you karts! You also be able to glide through the sky and drive underwater. Click here for the Mario Kart trailer.

And now onto their new console, the successor to the Wii nicknamed Project Cafe for sometime now, the Nintendo Wii U. This new console will be in HD, will have backwards capacity for the Wii and all of its controllers such as the wiimote, classic controller and even the Balance Board! The controller contains a 6.2 inch touch screen along with a camera, mic, a gyroscope and much more. A few games have been confirmed for the Wii U such as Ninja Gaiden 3, Tekken (first time for a nintendo home console) and a couple more.
Click here for the Wii U trailer and click here for the Wii U graphics demo.

Supprisingly not 1 but 2 new Super Smash Bros games were confirmed. One for the 3DS and the other for the WiiU. Thats all the information about them for now.

Was pretty impressed and looking forward to hearing more about the Wii U. Not sure about the controller, it's a cool idea but looks a bit uncomfortable and I probably wouldn't use the screen much either. I don't have the Wii, but depending on the cost I might consider getting this.

I think they should have made a better name than the Wii u... it is so un-original! :(

I agree it's not that great, but I guess it makes sense with the direction they're going for. Wii 2 is just as unoriginal, but I think I would have preferred that haha.

I think they are following the trends.. like Sony had PlayStation, PlayStation2, Platstation3, Microsoft has Xbox, Xbox360... I mean I can understand the handhelds they had but, for consoles they should try and be a little bit more original!

I don't like the name WiiU but it will grow on me, maybe. I was shocked when they announced Luigi's Mansion 2. The first one was so brilliant and now we are getting a second.

WiiU is actually short for Wii Uptopia. Which makes it a lot cooler.

The WiiU looks great IMO. The graphical demo blew my mind. Honestly, amazing. And the new Smash Bros. games as well as some other great titles announced? I think Nintendo is back <3

Where did you hear the Utopia bit? Sounds cool.

As for the graphics I agree they also blew my mine. I will be getting the WiiU just because its nintendo ( I buy all their consoles) and it shows my support :)

Yeah. Thats understandable. Also I found out the name of the villain shown in the trailer for Skyward Sword. His name is Ghirahim (Demon Lord Ghirahim when the boss battle started). I saw it when someone was playing a demo of it on youtube and it revealed his name.

I know one of the guys presenting it mentioned all of the things the "u could stand for" and he did mention it being "utopian" at one point, but haven't heard anything else about that :P
