From some EJ threads I used the generally agreed stat weights to create some lists for gearing up as a resto druid. While the top item tends to be the best in slot, it isn't strictly accurate to look at these lists as lists from best to worst. Using the item weight ranking is just a pretty good way to evaluate each piece. If you were to equip the top item for each slot, you'd probably find yourself with too much of a particular stat & lacking something else - you'd still need to weigh up the value of an item based on your current stats.

Here's some stuff to look at anyway...

Leather Armour by slot
Cloaks
Weapons by type The one hand weps are a bit skewed because of haste/crit, there aren't really any 1-hand weps (Just main hand or 2H)
Off-hand
Neck
Rings
Trinkets These are a bit skewed as the trinket procs/texts aren't evaluated properly by wowhead (or any other ranking sites)

In patch 3.2 all items with MP5 on them are having the MP5 boosted by ~25% so after the patch the stat weights should change slightly. If you click the ptr link at the top-left of each page, you can see how it effects some items by scoring them slightly higher than the pre-3.2 versions
